Best place to visit during rainy season and in particular when the dam gates are open. Visit Revolving Gandhi Minar via Hirakud Town but do not forget to visit Jawahar Minar from Burla Power House Side and have a 30 Kms drive on the dyke upto Zero Point, the entry point for Debrigarh Sanctuary. Drive on the Dam itself is prohibited. Could not enter Debrigarh Sanctuary as was not aware of the same. Planning to visit Debrigarh during next season. The drive on Dyke road to Debrigarh is breath taking. Hardly people are aware of it. This is also best for picnic with friends family and your loved ones.
