Those who have not seen river and how it helps people around it to grow old with it, its definitely an option for them to spend a weekend here. Plenty of fishes available, good Govt sponsored and private tourist lodge available... Perfect place to have a lonely me-time on the river bed.

It is a very nice place. The bridge is on the new damodar river. The bridge has 58 (fifty-eight) lock gates. That is why it is called 58 gate bridge. The view of damodar rivers mouth falling into the Hooghly river from this bridge is spectacular. This bridge is also known as 58 gate ulughata sluice bridge.

58 Gate Bridge, the reason for its naming is that it has 58 gates for water entry and exit.

This place is developing quicky, tourists came here from different parts of West Bengal and from other states, by travel bus , jeep, four wheeler, parking is almost free here, nice place , the deer park is the main attraction here,Food , hotel, and lodge is quite cheap and budget friendly,But the environment of this place is badly influenced by the plastic plate and carry bags leftover by those tourist,A good management is strictly needed here ,Exploring beauty is good but we should protect those beauty for our next generation also ,You are welcome here .
