Best place for having nice maharashtrian mealwhile travel towards satara.An dhaba type ambience very clean and hygienic with quality food is boon for frequent travelers like me.We ordered mutton raan, kadaknath sukka, gharguti Chicken thali and mutton thali.The raan an whole leg of lamb weighing 1.2 kg was marinated long hours and deep Tandoored to achieve perfect smoky Flavourful tender masaledar an heavy mouthwatering starter must have if big group.Pre-ordering 24 hrs is advisable for this.Kadaknath sukka. A chicken dish made using kadaknath ie black chicken. Its said to be beneficial for health. I have eaten it before and it was worth here too.The thali are another star items of the place.Bolhai meat is used here. The masala are prepared in house and are full of flavors.Overall an excellent place for having good food.

Service was prompt and restaurant was hygienic. The Food preparations over here are done with strong and flavorful spices and are indeed a delightful experience. There are very few place which will impress your from starters till main course and I would definitely say that Urus is one of them. We paid around Rs 3500/- for meal for 7 people. The prices of dishes served over here are really reasonable which makes it a VFM restaurant. Raan and Kadaknath preparations are taking with advance bookings only. I will definitely visit the same soon with my family.

Great food, good service, clean place and nice ambience. Staff was really helpful. We tried chicken thali and kala masala chicken thali. Both thalis were awesome. I would love to visit this location again.

Good place serving some Maharashtrian food

A very nice cosy place with great food and an excellent service. Their thali is famous but I loved their Chicken Tandoori. Very well marinated and cooked perfectly to the bone. Not too spicy, (which a lot of other restaurants sell off as Kolhapuri). Just the right amount of spicyness. Must try when ever you are returning to Pune from Satara.

Some times a homely maharashtrian meal is all you need. Urus serves one of the best Maharashtrian meal on this side of city. Ive recently visited this restaurant and the food here which they served us blew my mind.I cant compare this food with any other restaurant because its just our of the world. We tried Raan , chicken thali , mutton thali some starters and solkadhi. Raan was beautifully prepared and the masala was superb. Everything was on the point and raan was finished in no time. About thalis the bhakri makes a lot of difference , the masala they use for all the curries and sukkha preparation is really appreciable as it was the best masala Ive tasted in long time. The mutton was perfectly cooked and we enjoyed eating it with bhakri. Indrayani rice was just the needed thing as the curry was waiting for that only. We ended our meal with curry and rice and our souls were satisfied entirely.

URUS KHED SHIVAPURPlanned to visit this place for dinner on my way to Pune from Satara after reading reviews about it on PEO. We ordered following:-1. Masala Papad2. Chicken Tandoori (Half)3. Chicken Shole4. Chicken Handi5. Baajri / Jowar Bhakari and Chapati6. Kombadi Wade7. SolkadhiAalni soup was served complimentary. Owner also gave us 1 dish of khasta roti which i tried for the 1st time. It is basically a north indian flatbread made with wheat, sooji and milk. It was flavoured with Aniseed (Badishep) hence was having a little bit sweet taste. It was crispy and went well with the chicken handi gravy.Owner Rohan Vijay Takalkar was personally coming and suggesting dishes and asking feedback for every served dish. Bhakri is made on chul (old stove) here.Overall- 1.Ambience is good.2.Food quality, Service is also excellent.3.Rates are also reasonable.4. Excellent food. Very tasty and spice is adjusted according to our needs. Clean and hygenic. Anybody who would like to try village type food must visit. We went as family and everybody enjoyed a lot. It is a paradise for chicken and mutton lovers. Vegeterian menu is limited but tasty. For larger dishes like Raan, you will need to book atlst 4 hrs prior arrival.Ample parking space is available. Large group thalis are also available.

We went there for lunch. we observed very lethargic service. Staff was unprofessional. Also most disgusting part was that lots of food items were not able from menu card.

Try Dal Khichdi here .... Absolutely yummy ..And best thing, no need to detour from highway.
