The village Thangad has been the historical site of Kiran. It is from here that the Twelfth Hagata community originated. It is said that a Tanwar dynasty came here from a place called Anj of Sirmour, who started his life as an animal foster from Dev Sthali Jaga. Seeing the flourishing, devotion to Goddess Jagali Mata began to grow. As a symbol of that faith, the grand temple of Jaga Mata is present in front of us. We, along with the twelfth Hagata community, keep the whole Shanthi Veal in the thread of unity. Eleven villages in the Kiran area of the Hagata society are passing through the blessings of Goddess Jagga Mata and Mahasu Devta.
