High prices, very average Taste. It not worth the money. Avoid if possible and opt for nearby bakeries which serve better. Comparatively Next door ice-cream shop is much better.

Best ice cream place in shimla

V bought 4 portions of Rum cake today 11th Sep 2021and it costed us for Rs 850/- .And it tasted terrible,horrible as many words I could say r not enough.. Home made cakes r much yummier than this one.. The sugar pieces were in whole particals and were coming in our mouth while chewing it ... Most importantly no Rum flavor at all... Ohh!!God.. Fooling and looting people..Snapshot and bills r proof.. Horrible..Fooling tourist... I hope after you read this review...kindly make an effort or take baking classes... Mercy . . This goes into ur bad karma . ..

I dont understand what the fuss is about. The service here is pathetic. The owners are too rude. They didnt allow us to sit inside the bakery because they thought we werent ordering enough. We still didnt judge and decided to order, but the male owner was so rude to us even when we were placing the order, we decided to leave the place immediately without even ordering. I did not taste the food there, but the customer service is awful and you should consider going here only if you want to spoil the rest of your day!

I have read many negative views about the Embassy restaurant from many food reviewers, locals and tourists but we visited a couple of times and found nothing similar to what we were told, and yes, we went back more than once. Maybe we are more tolerant towards the eccentric old man who is an owner of this place, or maybe we dont have high expectations, either way, yes, the owner is a little out there but is quite charming if you engaged him in conversation about the area and about the writing he has done (quotes, book extracts, etc., all over every bit of wall space). We had some lovely cake. All in all, it was not the terrible experience everyone else seems to have had. And Oh! The view, specially of Jhaku temple and of the church is brilliant! It is a very good cafe with two owners with smiling faces. Hot Chocolate pastry and a slice of hot fruit-palm cake are recommended to everyone. They didnt force us to buy anything. The couple made suggestions and we chose what we wanted to buy.

The food quality and serving size makes them highly overpriced. The rates match that of cafes and bakers in New Delhi, but nowhere do they provide the service worth it.The owner when asked for a fork for the apple almond cake slice suggested us to instead eat it with hands, like a pizza, be said.Then came the coffee, which was okay.Then coming to the breakfast, cheese omelette with cheese bread for my friend and tomato cheese sandwich for me. These two were jokes! They used commercial standard ordinary bun and used that for bread. I mean who was he kidding. The omelette had just a single piece of bun to finish it off with. Very poor for the 250 bucks they charged for it.The sandwich had cheese as its major and only performer. Not worth 250 bucks, given the lack of good quality bread and substandard filling. Also, nothing to accompany it with, no sauces or napkins provided with it.When asked for napkins, the owner counted two cheap quality paper napkins and gave one of us each. Joke!Now comes the attitude of the owner. Probably he thinks people are being served for free, because he keeps you waiting for the bill. Then after a wait of 15 minutes, in which he just ignored your request twice, and carried on with his work, he just tells you how much you have to pay. And when asked for the bill, he said that would amount to more charges. Then we asked him to just write roughly what the charges were, which he again didnt do, he orally gave a rough calculation of it.So, 900 bucks for a cheap roadside quality omlette and sandwich, and an average slice of apple almond cake slice, and average coffee, along with poor customer service. Definitely not worth it!

Lady owner is rude and arrogant. Forced us biryani worth 350 bucks and said it would be sufficient for 2 people. However it was in a box of a pie and could hardly feed a child, which was probably left over from the utensils. Pathetic service and very rude customer service.

This is one of the oldest restaurants in Simla, most of the crowds tasted their first Burger, Pizza etc at this place. They bank on the vintage even today, however they must learn and compete against the present competition. If in Simla, its a good restaurant to eat even today.

Embassy Bakery offers a great variety of items.It is super costly and taste is not so great as compared to the prices.So, think before you choose to visit.

Drinks was okay, but the prices were touching sky. No menu list available in the restaurant. The bill was shocking, we paid 800 Rupees for lemon soda and 4 small pieces cake....

The prices were too high. My experience at this place was not good. We ordered two cold coffee for which we had to pay 440 rs. & It is worthless to give so much money just for a cold coffee. Shimla have far better restaurants which offer a tasty cold coffee with ice cream and choco sauce just for rs. 110 .

So it’s “unchi dukan fika pakwan “ . When I entered the place I thought it to be peaceful but when I ordered the meal I was shocked . The size of the burger was very small also there was no stuffing except for a thin layer of chicken dripping with oil. After having that meal I felt nauseous for hours .The place is overpriced and also the staff has no idea about hospitality. I didn’t want to rate it with even a single star but since the review needs it to be posted so here I go .

Terrible. Extremely mediocre food for the high prices charged. To top it all, the owner (am guessing) literally drove us out of the store for being a little indecisive considering there was a lot on offer. Another thing, do not let the old man dictate his choices. He will sneak in his recommendations in your order without bothering to inform you of the (skyhigh) prices and then you will end up paying something like INR 100 for a small glass of milk for a cookie that did not deserve the high price tag. Extremely disappointing and unsatisfying.
