The place is very peaceful. The journey itself is serene. It feels cold up above.We went in December , during sunset. And it looked heavenly. The aura of yellow in between the pine and fir trees.There are lots of monkeys. Beware of them snatching things.

The statue of Lord Hanuman is an important landmark here. According to legend, this was one of the spots where Lord Hanuman stopped for a while when he was on a mission to collect Sanjeevni herb to save injured Lord Lakshmana. Another legend about this spot is that Lord Hanuman met a sage named Yaaku here who guided Lord Hanuman about the Sanjeevni herb. If you go by legends, it is also said that the construction of the Jakhoo Temple was commissioned by Saage Yaaku. This temple is home to a 108-feet tall Lord Hanuman statue, and this is the main reason why people come here in thousands to visit the famed Jakhoo Temple.

Brilliant scenery and divine feeling all around. Nice place to visit and to view a huge yup a huge idol of lord Hanuman. But beware of monkeys. And you have to walk through many stairs as well to reach the temple.

Visit at night if possible as you will get a great view from atop.

The statue of lord hanuman here is one of tallest ones. You cant skip watching it even from the mall road. It gives view of immense structure. Here u can watch shimla mall road and the city like a miniature model. Place is on the highest peak and view is amazing. Must go place.

If you are in Shimla must visit this temple. But be aware of monkey. They stealing everything from tourists, especially glasses.

Pictures do not capture the scope of this statue - really an amazing sight and such vibrant color. The trip up the mountain is a bit precarious by car, but overwhelmingly worth it. This Mandir is situations in the top of Shimla the walking road is really very toff so avoid it and use 🚎 its a good and easy options to reach their. You can enjoy the sunset as well so prefer to go in afternoon. Weather is always awesome at Shimla so dont worry about it. A great place to visit, can reach there after a hike from mall road, the statue is visible from very far distance across the shimla city and mountains. The hike was somewhat steep, elderly people will have tough time rraching there by foot, car service and horse riding service to reach the temple is also available near the church on the mall road

This place is very good, at the hill top. But you will see lot of monkeys, they will disturb you a lot, especially when your kids carrying eatables. They took away my cotourists spectacle. There is one ashram that provides food at free of cost. Its nice to have food with somany people together. To reach the top, there is one rope way. But it is a bit costly, they are charging 500 rs for up and down. Over all its good to enjoy the nature and to have glance of city.

A Huge Hanuman Statue on the top of the hill, This is such a place The Hanuman Statue appears anywhere from the Shimla city, beside pretty children park ,Excellent location, Photographers get little disappoint due to Tall trees all over that we cannot see city from here..... you should be aware of your spectacles put in pockets otherwise monkeys will took away till you gave some snacks ,Visitors afraid of Monkeys, Management should take proper care of those things, Excellent Location, Paradise for Nature lovers.

The road from Shimla to the statue is very pleasant. The statue and the temple is very nice.

Awesome place.The temple is located on very high altitude, its worth to go there by a car or taxi. There was lots of greenery and a park. You can enjoy clicking few shots there. Beware of monkeys. I enjoyed watching the statue of hanuman ji there, it was 108 feet long. Wasnt even possible to take a full shot of it from my cam :). Baba balaknath temple was in front of it. You can go there as well. Over all it was nice experience.

A huge statue of God HANUMAN. It was Sunday when I booked my ticket to Shimla and in only first sentence my bro ask me to visit jakhoo temple for this statue. I was the happiest person on earth when I visited here. A huge and beautiful Hanuman statue it is. Worth seeing this Historical temple and statue too. The thing which makes me crazy when I found an old image of jakhoo temple.
