Wonderful.... i visit assam house every year during oct month ... Staff are very polite and food is also good as you will not find assamese food elsewhere in shillong.... rooms are big and clean at reasonable price .... hardly you can get any room during oct month....area is big and nicely maintained

Absolutely wonderful stay.......clean structured rooms ...... gud architecture.....full facility ......well behaved staff......i visited in 2018 on an excursion trip nd we were offered dormitory which was also well managed and clean and we stayed happily for 4 days.......d permission to stay in it should be taken from the ASSAM SECRETARIAT GHY....as we did....dis is to my knowledge.......or else u can contact over phone nd ask 4 d booking process....

Beautiful place.

One of the best Assam Houses in India.PROS: Posh place. Great service. Pretty good comfortable beds, blanket and pillow. Calm and serene environment surrounding it. Great view from room with Balcony.CONS: For lunch, youll have to call them before 10 AM. We got stuck in a traffic jam, couldnt make it before 10 and ended up going walking for lunch all the way to PB. No breakfast.Overall, everything is good except the food service.

The newly constructed buildings are great, I had visited this place 12 years ago and it has completely transformed into something great. Nice and cosy place to stay.

A nice place to stay. Its concrete building leaves one longing for the Assam type house.

Very pathetic! I dont know who on earth gets to stay here. What are the qualifications to be alloted a room I seriously do not know. A serving government servant,inspite of giving prior intimation is not alloted a room here. But what I find on Google is, residents of other states gets to stay here! I dont know whom to complain, and even if I do complain..no action will ever be taken
