Reading reviews here made me nervous to go with USA Comm when we first moved to their service area. Needless to say, Ive been pleasantly surprised with how the service has been the past 2 years. 100 mbps up & download speeds regularly seeing around 70 which is plenty for us. The price is a slightly higher than youd see with other providers but there is no limit on data, youre likely in a rural area so it makes sense, and Ive literally never had any interruption on service (knock on wood). While it might cost slightly more, you get more reliable connection and uptime than you see with Mediacom.

Been with USACommunications for 12 years and just moved out of their service area. I have been VERY pleased with their Internet service speed and reliability over the years. Rock solid and dependable. When you call you get a real person who is local and is also VERY helpful, not some disinterested cube dweller in some far flung location. Gonna miss you guys!
I have been a long long time USA communications customer all the way back to when they were called FMTCS. This company was among the first in the entire country to drop coaxial and install fiber to the home. The speed and quality was phenomenal immediately following their switch. Unfortunately, that reliability and speed has waned greatly over the years. Now we experience regular disconnects and slow downs in service that would make Mediacom laugh. Fiber by nature should be far more reliable than what we are experiencing especially for what we are paying - $85 for just internet. I am a bit of a tech and router enthusiast and problems persist regardless of the router I have used or even if Im plugged in directly to the wall. They badly need to take a look at their system and plug some holes.
Been downloading something with 49Gb size.Taken over 24hrs to download.. Supposed to have 20MB download speeds, Im lucky to see 10Mbps!
When I first got cable I was having problems but only because Im not on the ball on how some of this stuff works.. I couldnt ask for a better group of people to help me take care of things,, even when my patience got short, they were very understanding and helpful.. I dont believe I would ever try another cable company again. Ive done Direct and Dish... give me USA Communications anytime..

Getting in touch with someone who is willing to discuss the bill is proving to be a huge under taking! Apparently when theyre busy it rings to tech support! Apparently our bill is going up 30$ a month?! No explanation! Living in Central City doesnt offer many options, but now that its costing the same as dish was, Ill go back to Dish & get my DVR back!

Go elsewhere. Their fiber service works ok but costs twice what it should. Worst customer service I have ever encountered. Ive gotten more warmth and friendliness from a Taco Bell. Shut my service off BEFORE IT WAS EVEN DUE and took them 3 days to turn it back on. No apologies. No credit. No results when they say you will have them. They just lie to get you off the phone.
This is a great company. I have to say, before their fiber upgrade, it was a bit slow, but after the upgrade, the internet speeds are great. There was only a couple times where the internet went out. The phone of fiber is also real good. Clear connection.Also, the Staff is always very helpful
They charge outrageous prices for rural communities and their website is not up to date. And the information they gave out when they switched to fiber optics was the old information. It was like they were covering up the new prices. Everything seemed fishy the way they did it. Increased my bill around 45 dollars. But I guess thats what monopolies do!!!
Terrible customer service, rude technicians, and absolutely clueless tech support. Dont hit the reset on the back of the modem because they will have to send out a technician and charge you a $65.00 dollar service fee and $65.00 dollars an hour to make an already expensive and unreialble product youve already paid for work. I guess there lucky they are the only option for many rural customers
Internet drops at random times with no explanation. Every time I call, they tell me to restart the router. Well, its kinda getting old doing this almost every day!!!UPDATE: After emailing them directly, the tech did something (I couldnt completely understand the tech speak), but ever since then, the internet is better.
1 phone and 1 Amazon Fire Stick connected to our WiFi. The fire stick has buffered 14 times in 5 minutes and continues to do so a minimum once per minute. We upgraded band width raising our bill $30. They came and worked on it today. All I keep hearing is unplug everything and that should help.
I started working from home and needed to get internet. I had issues using my phone and they REFUSED to admit it was because of their speed. They blamed it on everyone else. We recently moved we needed a jack in my office. Tech came out and couldnt do it and told us no you wont be charged. Got our bill and charged 40$ for absolutely nothing. Biggest joke of an internet company Ive ever dealt with. If we could get someone else I would have done it by now. Oh and the women in the office..... Thats a whole different story. I highly advise choosing a different company.
Still waiting on a call back from Mitch the plant manager. Very unprofessional company, not even listed with the BBB to file a complaint. $130 internet that cuts out and the tech wont even hard wire our office so we have cords running through our house. All I want to know is how I can hard wire our office and absolutely nobody will answer my question or even return a call.
Just a horrible company with worst customer service. I also like how we only get 40 mps and a phone line for a outrageous price or if you have just internet its even more money compared to everyone else thats paying are price for 120 mps. If there was a way to bring another company I would vote for it. Then you say something to them and they argue with you like we are the idiots.
Upgraded my internet to fiber optic and didnt raise my rates. They also still dont have data caps, unlike many other providers. Staff have been very helpful when I come in to the office.Edit: Realized my speeds had been much higher the last few weeks, then got a letter in the mail saying the area’s 40 Mbps service has been upgraded to 100 Mbps, at no extra charge.
Terrible product and service! People who answer the phone are clueless! Guys who come out to the house look for reasons NOT to help you and set up things to work the way you need them to work in your house. Wish I had another option.

Internets always dropping at random times and tv goes out randomly with bad quality. I literally can be just on my phone on the Internet with no other devices connected and it still drops. I hooked up straight to the modem (taking away the router) to see if the router was causing it and it still drops. I called and try to figure it out and they blame it on everyone else on the Internet at the same time, told me that the modem shows no signs of dropping signal even though it did and theres nothing they can really do. Overall terrible service and if I could switch to a different company I would but I cant.
Internet always dropping was told it is my problem inside and since I dont have inside added on it would be a charge to do anything inside. I have put in a BRAND new 6 pair line directly to modem outlet. Drops service daily all thy can say is restart your equiptment. Sick and tired of not having a stable connection, how can ya run a fiber network when you cant run stable dsl service.
Never get ahold of anyone that can fix a problem, its always, Let me fill out a ticket on that. If digital cable and internet go out for 24 hours once a month I consider myself lucky.
Literally just called cause i have no internet at home. Before the fiber upgrade i called about the bad connection and they were helpful enough to introduce us to the fiber optic. Its good except for a few times it disconnected us but it is sooo much better than the dsl. Second time i called which is today, there is no internet in the house, (working at home) the lady that answered me told me they cant give me information because my name is not on the account. Uhm can you tell me why the connection is weak or none existent?! She just kept repeating Cant discuss info cause im not on the account.. Thing is they Mailed in a paper to fill up for their new service and I SIGNED MY NAME ON THERE. Ok! i was gonna pay the bill too i guess they dont want their money. INCONSISTENT CUSTOMER SERVICESrsly cnsidering moving out AGAIN so i could get a different provider. Ruined my day!
Not getting the promised speed ever. Constantly have the internet dropping out and calling in to get help. They say they will do something about it and eventually (1-2 days) the internet comes back on.
Worst customer service of any company I have ever been in contact with. Their customer service department promises to return my call but they never do. I have been without internet for 10 days and cant seem to find a single employee in the company who cares.
