This Ayyappa Temple is very famous in Secunderabad,India. It is located in Army area so whenever there is any festival or Puja army men help to decorate and maintain the temple. When my father was in Army we used to come a lot to this temple. I always loved the food they serve on a banana leaf... that is the speciality of the temple.. anyhow people of Kerala and Tamil Nadu have their food on banana leaf specially on Onam or any other festival or occasion. Men wear white Dhoti with any colour shirt and they look amazing. There is a lot of crowd on festival occasion..
Ive been visiting this temple since June 1994, a few months after the idols of Lord Ayyappa, Lord Ganesha & Lord Murugan were consecratedRegular poojas are conductedThe temple has grown from the time only Mandalakala celebrations were held before 1994 to conducting all major festivals in the Malayalam calendar in a major way and on a grand scale..In general the ambience is very spiritual, although there is a lot of crowd on festival occasions...The temple has opened once again post-COVID maintaining strict operating protocol.
