My wife and I went for dinner at Nahm well aware that our experience with the Thai kitchen was very basic. We had a great time but were both challenged by the strength of the food. Coming from the cold north we are not accustomed with this strength which makes it difficult for us to truly enjoy the courses. The waiters were great and we had a good dinner experience but has to accept that the Thai kitchen as presented on Nahm is not for us.
I travelled to Bangkok to go eat in this restaurant, i did take a reservation to go to this place. I think its advisable to take it.The place is not expensive like other top restaurants, i tried the course meal, really loved the starter of all the dishes, enjoyed the dishes from first course to last course. This place is worth the money considering it is not big hole in pocket. The service is also exceptional.
I went here on my honeymoon looking forward to a world class meal, and both my wife and I ended up with food poisoning. The meal would have been good and the service was great, but paying all this money and getting food poisoning was one of my worst experiences on our honeymoon.
Great Food, Great Service, Awesome Riesling List!!I enjoyed my experience at Nahm Bangkok, great food, excellent service and a very comfortable place to eat. A number of my friends have eaten there in the past and found it a bit too spicy, I guess they are not the only ones who found this to be the case as there were a number of “less” spicy choices on the menu. The only dish that I found over the top from a spicy level was the Angry Beef, but that was because the chili overpowered everything else.My favourite dish was the Banana Leaf Packet, great flavours and just the right amount of chili. One word YUM!The Tasting Menu is definitely the way to go and would work with groups as well, most of the dishes are easy to share and they serve individual portions of the soup. I will definitely return to Nahm Bangkok. If you are looking for an ideal wine to pair with most dishes go with a Riesling. They have a very good list of them to choose from at decent restaurant prices. Did not ask if they do BYOB, will check that out before my next visit.
Was a nice fancy thai dinner experience, overall the dinner was fine but not sure if it warranted the hefty price tag as there wasn’t anything outstanding or out of this world. I will say though I was a big fan of the Rose which was home grown, and was happy to see high end restaurants support locally produced wines.I thought the Maître d could have done a better job of welcoming guests and giving the night that memorable experience it needed. I saw him speak to a table of Spanish tourists for a period that felt like 20 minutes, but when he came over to our table it was a quick 10 seconds “how is everything”? Other than that, the wait staff were professional and attentive. Was a nice dinner, but wouldn’t say that this is a must. It’s decent Thai cuisine done in a fancy luxury setting, and that’s what you’re paying for.
Went there with my foreign friends and some local Thai friends. Our views are so diverse. We argued a bit on the authenticity of the Thai cuisine served here. For Thai, some flavours were missing. For foreigners including Japanese, French and British, they think the food was awesome. For me, as a Chinese, I think the main course was a bit salty. Maybe it is for eating with rice. However, I think it is over-priced we ordered a set lunch menu that cost THB 1600++ per head. At first I thought we would have our own dishes and courses. However, the main courses were on sharing basis. The portion of these main course were rather small. Serving in this way makes this lunch even more expensive than a set lunch menu for French cuisine. The dessert was nice though, savory deep-fried shallot was used to enhance the aroma. Not bad!
Not sure how this is a Michelin restaurant. Found the value to be poor. Very very expensive - almost $20 USD for a drink and almost $500 USD for a night out for 2 people. The food itself was extremely spicy and not enjoyable. I would echo the comments of others here - overrated.
I would normally score this restaurant a 2 star but because Thai food is so close to my heart and it’s so misrepresented here I had to score it even lower. There is no doubt the quality of ingredients used is of a he highest standard but as far as getting the flavour of Thailand over in a Michelin star setting they missed the mark by far, From the service to the presentation to the taste of the food they failed on all counts.I’ve honesty eat on the side of the street in Thailand and been better impressed. There are far better expensive restaurants in Bangkok for you to blow your money give this one a miss.
This restaurant is a must in the gourmet city of Bangkok, the first place in Asias 50 best restaurants in the pastThere were many members with a lot of members, so there were many shops where the money was decided, but on this day I had time for lunch and went alone to Gohan.Bangkok is a gourmet city with a number of well-known restaurants that are among the 50 Best Restaurants in Asia. It is surprisingly unknown that the number is high after Japan and China.Among them, Nahm is a shop known for its first restaurant in London taking Michelin star in Thai cuisine. After that, the shop in London was closed and the shop was opened in Thailand. Since the selection of Michelin stores in Bangkok started in December 2017, this store has earned a solid star.Nahm is located on the first floor of the Metropolitan Hotel in Bangkok, so its a bit difficult to understand. At first glance from South Sathorn Road, youre just past the guards entrance to the apartment premises. I have remembered that I had never been able to come here before and gave up.By the way, Nahm seems to mean Water in Laos since ancient times, and the name of a Bangkok girl I happened to know was named Nahm. I was surprised by accident.Metropolitan Bangkok has only a first-class hotel and the entrance is beautiful and the shops and atmosphere are outstanding.Lunch is 1800 baht. Its a little 6000 yen in Japanese yen. By the way, about the contents, only the ingredients used are written, so I do not know anything at all, but for the time being order.First, canapes. There are some ingredients in something like a black and thin wafer. It was a dish I hadnt eaten very much, but it was a delicious dish with beautiful colors and unique habits. The following dishes are as follows.Hed sorn klin: a dish of mushrooms, garlic pickles, and peanuts on top of fried rice. The scent of coriander is fresh.Miang Nopakao ... Miang is a food wrapped in teeth, meaning green mango, snake fruit, chicken, or a mixture of these on a betel leaf. The contrast between the green of the betel leaf and the red and yellow of the ingredients above it is beautiful.Yam Pak Yang Tawai: A dish made of vegetables and fruits. This was very delicious personally. The leaves are firm and crunchy. The fruit juice and sweetness go well with the dressing. Here is the main dish.Massaman Nuea ... Massaman beef with grilled potatoes and grilled shallots. It is called Massaman curry, and the American information site CNNGo said, It is a dish that has been ranked first among the 50 most delicious foods in the world. This is the closest dish to Japanese curry, Even though the potatoes are large, they are boiled softly, easy to eat, and delicious.Tom Gati Gai: Coconut soup with chicken and green mango. A soup made with plenty of coconut milk, with a light taste that neutralizes the rich taste of Massaman curry.Mu Pad Piroth: Pork dish fried with sun-en-farm pork, young coconut shoots, basil and peppers together. These and rice cooked in an earthenware pot are served together, but this is rice that is exquisitely cooked, leaves the core, and has good texture and taste. It is a taste that greatly overturns the image of so-called Thai rice. Finally, the dessert is a watermelon sherbet. Then dragon fruit, passion fruit, glue guava green pepper sugar ... honestly, dessert was completely lost. Numerous fruits you cant really like. After this, coffee and two small baked goods. This was still good, but I dont like this too much. Finally, something like the canapes that came out first came out.... All desserts are lost. I didnt like it and it was a bad meal. However, the overall atmosphere, service and taste of the food were very good. When I came to Thailand for the first time, I still remember that Thai food didnt suit me at all, but if I had been here I would have had a completely different impression. If you ever come to Bangkok, you should definitely stop by.
That not how I expect 3 thing nice, and all of that Not near the taste of Thailand ,Jelly pandan in coconut milk ,If you try it before serving You will know that the pandan jelly is bitter. People and talk loudly like a fresh market. When serving food, should you ask for permission before? You should train some employees better. And should arrange the booking time better
Food is just ok.Poor service. Not attentive , you have to try your best to get the attention of a waiter . Have to ask for toothpick and ask them to clean the table after you finished your foodWhen I asked about “what is this dish?” The waitress asked me to wait in a very rude tone because she has to give me plate first.Price is a bit overpriced for the quality of food . Quite disappointed
Nahm is a good restaurant with great food but service can be improved . Good variation of traditional Thai dishes with an amazing attention to details . There’s a lack of explanation of each plate , which is quite surprising considering the level of this restaurant. Staff should be more attentive .Overall a good experience .
I had one of the best meals ever here. I came for my birthday on a solo trip to Thailand during a culinary internship and let me start off by thanking the cooks and the service team for making my night feel like a special one from extra treats to extra treatment. I greatly appreciate that. The food was EXCEPTIONAL, I had tons of thai good from street to restaurants before coming here and this stands as one of the best thai meals I have ever had. Elegant yet traditional presentation followed with such a fresh flavour in every bite followed by masterfully powerful seasoning. I had the tasting menu or set course and its well worth the time and money the meal was massive and you still get to choose most of your meal so its not quite chefs choice or a chefs table but the server helps you pair your food as well helping suit your taste and you cant go wrong . My favourite dishes being some if the best thai food I have eaten where the red curry with crab and shrimp in a banana leaf and the duck curry both where to die for and very complex in flavour. The atmosphere itself had a suiting vibe to the whole experience and I will be returning here to dabble in the rest of the menu! Thank you very much.
Michelin 1 star + World’s best 50 no. 49(2018)+ Asian best 50 no.10(2019)From plating, ingredients and taste are all very Thai, which is what I can expect. Without fancy plating and ingredients, instead they focus on the traditional way of cooking.Within my 7 courses lunch, 3 courses are good. But soup is quite salty and lack of other favour. Appetiser and dessert are street food style, but kinda with that standard as well. Main courses are highlight, especially massaman curry lamb. The sweetness of longon matches well with the curry but without reducing its hotness much.It is a very good Thai restaurant and personally I enjoyed it. But I believe if you are more favour oriented person, you should probably pick something more local for a much cheaper price. Btw, Thai sabai and black Americano here are great! 👍🏽
Amazing Thai. Just spent 2 weeks in Krabi, Chiang Mai and finally Bangkok and Nahm was definitely a highlight and the best Thai food we had (we ate Thai for every meal the entire trip). We had for people and ordered the set meal which included 4 appetizers, a salad, a soup, a relish, a curry, a fish dish, and 8 desserts and we added a dish as well.
We had a tasting menu. The food was tasty and service was good. But from the restaurant with one Michellin star I require a little bit more. It my opinion the food shoudl be amazing, but it wasn’t. The food is to shared, but even if you are hungry you will be full after dinner. The main dishes are quite big. It is a hotel restaurant. If you go there by public transport you could have a problem to find the restaurant. The entrance is a little bit hidden.
My girlfriend and I both thought the food here was amazing. We ordered an appetizer, a curry, a relish, and a stir fry. Everything was amazing! Also the signature drinks are spectacular. Tomyumtini in particular was to die for.But note that when you ask if something is spicy, know that its relative. Ie. Medium spice to them is probably really spicy in general.
Very spicy food for most part of the menu, however flavour is good. The venue decor is average, the service was excellent. The wine list is decent. Ive been to about 10 of the world best 50 restaurant but for a place thats 28th in the world I do expect a lot more, so in one word: underwhelming.
Advance booking recommended. You can should between a course of Thai dishes and dessert or go with the alacart. Nahm serves some of the dishes those are difficult to find in other restaurant these days, and make it perfectly. With the quality of the foods, the service, portions ,and also the experience and feelings I got here, I completely understand why Nahm is the favorite place to go for many people who comes to visit Bangkok.
A very nice Thai restaurant offers you a fine dining experience. However, only set menu is offered.
An incredible menu. I love how these are all share dishes so you order a few items and you get to try a bit of everything! The food is a little too spicy for me but still delicious and worth a try!
Lovely Thai food in a good setting. The tasting menu was great and good value. Lovely cocktails. Highly recommended.
Food is not balanced and very salty. Lack of choices for those who dont eat seafood or pork. Pre ordered place 30 days in advanced full with excpectations and i am very dissapointed. Food street in bangkok is much testier. Dont waste your time. We were worned 4 times that the beef dish is very spicy. Spicy is not the definition just salty in incredible way. Not recommended !!!
Reviews for this place were either very good or vise versa. It turned out to be on the positive note for us.We skipped set menu but opted for a la carte and share among 5 ppl. Amuse, entre and salad were all fantastic. The beauty of sharing is to taste a bit of everything we wanted to order. The bill came in within reasonable range and would definitely return.
Delicious dinner and great way to experience all type of Thai herbs and spices. Theres some room to improve in service. if you order discovery set menu its going to be a lot of food.
Really nice very original thai restaurant. Amazing price quality ratio. Had the dry menu during lunch and was the best thai did you can get. Highlight for the dessert!
Went here for my last night in Bangkok after about 2 weeks spent in Thailand. Was by far the worst meal I had during my stay. I took the menu at 2800 baht. The food was promising to start (really nice canapés and some good appetizers). The main dishes were very underwhelming. The wagyu beef had no taste. The duck curry was swimming in oil. There was no aspect of presentation, which for a Michelin starred restaurant is surprising. The dessert leaves a lot to be desired... overall underwhelming food.Regarding the price, please note, they add a 10% service charge and 7% VAT to the entire meal. We hadn’t experienced this in any other restaurant we visited in Thailand, so it was surprising to say the least. The entire cost for our two menus and 4 cocktails was about 230€. If the food had been good and at the Michelin standard, I would have understood the price. But frankly, the price was not justified by the meal.I live in Paris and have been to a bunch of Michelin starred restaurants and am really shocked that this has a star. The food, presentation, service, quality of the menu is so far from what I’ve experienced elsewhere that I struggle to see how this justifies anything. In my opinion, this was a decent restaurant, not even good for a non-starred one, shockingly bad when compared to other starred restaurantsI .
Meals are too salt and spicy for me, but atmosphere and environment is good, great service, food is OK, you probably will only come once.
Excellent meal here, particularly the Panang Wagyu beef curry which just melted in your mouth. Pretty good deal with 5 course for 1600 baht.Just revisited in 2018 with a dinner set menu at 2800 baht. Unfortunately had a few misses in this meal, but the coral trout and durian sticky rice were very good.
This is my second visit to this restaurant and still think its one of the best authentic thai restaurant in Bangkok. They have managed to maintain the standard although David Thompson has left the restaurant since end of April 2018.
Lovely Thai food, with great attention to detail. Well worth a visit! In the World top 50 restaurants and Asias top 3.
Delicious. I tried Thai flavors Id never tried before and it was a minor revelation. I highly recommend it.
Went in with high expectations , but was just above average. Food is a bit too salty and heavy. Deserts were ok. Set menu price is a bit high. But Good atmosphere and service.
Not bad if you are willing to spend the price for it.
Great ambience, great service. Europeanized food and high prices. Not recommended if you like the real authentic local food.
Went here for dinner. Had two tasting menus. Waiter claimed it was not a lot of food - but it was :) Good for me, Mrs got really full though! One got to choose some of the courses. Including the surprise we got 11 courses!Very nice desserts, do try the pandan.
Good service, tasty food.
I was hesitant to try Nahm for a long time, only because Ive heard so many mixed reviews of the place.Glad we gave it a go this time.We were seated at a nice quiet spot and were greeted by our server, Jhun, who was very attentive and super nice all night. As soon as he approached our table he greeted us with our names (from our email booking) which I thought was a really nice touch.I was quite dehydrated in this hot weather so I ordered water right away. I saw that the local water on the menu was super cheap compared to brand names so I asked to switch. 50 baht vs 300 baht. No issues there and Jhun changed it swiftly. I ordered a 2nd bottle right away. Yes I was thirsty!Another sweet gesture was 2 complementary glasses of bubbly for our anniversary. We were going to get the set menu at 2800 baht per person but it seemed like more food than what we felt like for tonight.Amuse bouche was served with a nutty ball on a sliced of pineapple. It was actually really good. I wish we paid more attention to the description but we were scouring the menu for what would be most interesting. We ended up ordering 3 dishes from their canapes section, 1 salad, 1 fish dish and 1 dessert to share.Canapes:Blue swimmer crab with peanuts and pickled garlic over rice cakes. (470 baht)Egg nets with prawns, wild almonds and lime. (450 baht)Steamed red curry of scallops. (450 baht)Jhun warned us it might be too much as there were 5 pieces per dish. But since we werent going heavy on mains, we kept the 3 canapes.Crab~typical Thai flavors of sweet & sour. A little on the salty side but tasty enough.Prawns~admire the egg net skills but the dish itself was kinda flat.Scallops~cooked in the same style as my fav steamed fish curry in banana leaves. Wasnt heavy on the curry which allowed the sweetness of the scallops to come thru.Salad:Grilled corn and prawn salad with lemongrass and wild almonds. (750 baht)Ok dish tho the corn was a bit tough, prawns a little mushy. I enjoyed the crunchy lemongrass but gosh there were a lot of cilantro or similar leaves all over it. Too much!Fish:Steamed coral trout with beans and pickled garlic. (880 baht)Actually a very well executed dish. Perfectly cooked fish, tasty sauce and hidden slices of delicious pork belly which made me so happy.Mains are served with rice and they refill as much as you want.We ordered 2 cocktails (330 baht each) to try. Mine was Siam Sunrays: Vodka, coconut cream, lemongrass, and chili. Pretty good. (Good job no plastic straw!) Hubby had an Old Fashioned which he enjoyed as well.Dessert was a pleasant surprise. I ordered the Pandanus noodles in coconut cream with tapioca and sticky rice (350 baht). Turned out to be like my fav dessert with ice and other goodies. A sago coconut pudding was served on the side with 2 slices of fragrant pears. That was excellent. I truly loved the coconut cream. There was a faint smokiness to the sauce and a beautiful light Jasmine taste at the end. Just wonderfully complex for such a simple traditional dessert. The end was topped off with a plate of delicious petit fours. Coconut pudding, mung bean yolk, peanut crisp with banana and a pandan coconut candy. They helped us call a taxi as well. Overall it was an excellent experience because we enjoyed the service so much. Thank you Jhun and all the other staff who helped us!Food was better than my expectations. I really wanted to love it but maybe its the transition of exec chefs because it wasnt exactly up to what I envisioned for being #10 of Asia top 50 restaurants.
Over all was okay but I love the desserts, please don’t miss it! And I would say the soup was super spicy, but unfortunately you CNT ask for less spicy.
Ordered the set menu for 2. Amuse bouche & Canapes were pretty good. But it started going downhill afterwards. Corn Salad, Crab curry and fried fish were decent. But the soup was far too salty, and their duck dish was inedible. Furthermore deserts were far to sweet! Paid 75xx baht and we brought our own champagne. IMO Definitely not worth it. Perhaps try the ala carte and order what you want.
Incredible inspiring place, the chef keep the flavor from local food but raise the delicacy for all aspects. Love the surprises and inspirations!
Delicious Thai food. You can request for less spicy too.
Love it! Surprisingly good dishes from the satisfying Michelin starred restaurant
Heavy on flavor, service is excellent.
One of the best Thai cuisine restaurants in Bangkok
So goodMeal with red wineAmazing dishes
Second time visiting, the all-star Blue Swimmer Crab curry still wins the trophy! Appreciate the great service, thoughtful staff, quiet ambience and of course, the food! Was pleasantly surprised by the dessert I ordered, both durian sticky rice and panadus noodles with black sticky rice (think chendol) came with side dishes of mangosteen & water apple + coconut kueh respectively.Double thumbs up!
Beautifully created dishes but for a 1* I expect more unexpected.
Great atmosphere, friendly staff and a very comprehensive dinner set menu that left us absolutely no more room for dessert.Alls well with the appetizer, salad, family-style main course with rice, but the petit fours and the complementary drinks left us with a feeling of a weak ending. One of the dishes was the lemongrass and kingfish salad which tasted refreshing and light. The stir fry of tiger prawn with smokey sauce was amazing. Will come again if I have the chance but will order a la carte.
This place was good. Stayed away from the tasting menu as a member of our group was anti seafood. Good atmosphere and experience.
Fresh and clean modern Thai food. Not the mainstream Thai food you could find anywhere. The mushroom soup and grilled omelette were the highlight of our lovely lunch.
We had the tasting menu. Service was excellent The food was delicious. Our only issue was that courses would be brought out together, which would be quite different and our taste buds would be over loaded. At one stage we had 4 different types of food on the table and the citrus were going cold as we were eating the other dishes already served.Wine list is extensive but the starting price point is high for a very basic bottle of European £10 bottle of wine
Between the 2 of us, we shared a wagyu beef cheek soup (THB480), steamed grouper with pork, fermented yellow beans and fried garlic (THB880) and lifecycle of a coconut (THB375). These dishes were recommended to us by the wait staff who asked about our dietary requirements. The recommendations were great. Jasmine rice and brown rice were served to go with the dishes. We could taste the freshness of the grouper. The highlight is the dessert, lifecycle of the coconut. Their desserts showcase the various textures, flavours and temperatures of the Thai confectioneries. From the coconut popsicle, coconut jelly and fried coconut fritter to the coconut pudding with warm glutinous rice wrapped in banana leaf, each dessert tasted different yet interesting. Coconut pudding with warm glutinous rice is my favourite as the warmth of the rice was a surprising touch to the dessert. It was so good that we ordered the textures and flavours of pandan though we were already very full. Nice dessert but of the two, I will go for lifecycle of the coconut. All the dishes I tried at Nahm were different from the street food that I had. Being a frequent traveller to Thailand, I’m glad to have tried Nahm.
Nice atmosphere, good taste, traditional thai cuisine with great decoration.Visit there as business dinner.
Attentive service and good quality food. Tried the tasting menu, paired with Riesling as recommended by the staff, wonderful experience.Personal favourite: Canapés, Chiang Mai Larp of Pigeon, Savoury soup of wagyu beef cheek, coconut dessert.
Extremely delicious. As pricey as a high end restaurant in the west but it is worth it. Would recommend the crab curry.
Sublime food, the best Tom Yum Goong I’ve ever tasted. The coconut 🥥 dessert is amazeballs. Everything just works, go.
Curry and dessert are worth trying. However, the service was terrible.
I haven’t been to Nahm restaurant for long time. Not sure how good it is at the moment. But many years ago. It has such a great Thai Fusion Restaurant that you must come to try, even though the chef is not Thai. It’s located on the ground floor of Como Metropolitan Hotel on Sathorn road. In the morning, many hotel guests come to have their breakfast here. Staff are friendly.
Really enjoyed their fantastic Thai tasting menu. Only criticism, if you can call it that, is that is was just too much food. My partner is vegetarian so we had 2 different menus which I suspect had been designed for sharing!
Amazing dinner, Thai cuisine at top level and for everybody who likes spicy try the signature curry with prawns
Been there for dinnerneed booking in advancefusion fooda bit saltydessert is amazing, very old time dessert served like a royal style. refresh and good for hot day.have a parking lot at the condo nearby
So so, delicious level is not the same as they charge.
Dont know what all the fuss is about. There are places in this city with far better food for a fraction of the price. Interesting setting though....
Excellent service and food
It is definitely one of the best meals i have ever had in Thailand ! A 9 course meal with spread over 2 hours had everything we could hope for (We had reserved space for 20 odd people and a fixed menu). The food was a tad spicy for some of us but the kind of nice spicy that makes you rush for the next bite. I also had mango sticky rice for the first time here and is something i absolutely loved. Slightly expensive by Bangkok standards but the food is truly worth it.
Expensive and too saltyNot as good as the lookBut service is good
Delicious and authentic food. Really great and genuine recommendations from our waiter. Cool, chill atmosphere.
Upscale restaurant with delicious delicate food.
Definitely should try if you are in Bangkok
I’ve been here a few times over the years for business and leisure dinners and lunch services, and never have I been disappointed. Location is perfect for business lunches, service is great with staff giving both wine and food recommendations and showing real care when you discuss allergies to certain ingredients. I have met the chefs here a couple of times and they really are passionate about what they do. As with many top places it can be difficult to get a reservation here and can be busy, so book ahead, ask for specific areas of the restaurant if you want more privacy and if the staff can accommodate, they will. Highly recommended and I will definitely be back again.
Food was up to the expectation but service was horrible!Food was great with traditional and authentic taste with superior ingredients. The taste and plating were great with no extra twists or surprises for Thais.Services were horrendous! They were serving set meals with family style sharing and the fact that 2 (out of 4) ordered the same set. They asked us to share the food where we can ask for refill. It took an hour and still we didn’t get the refill order after a small portion of shared dishes. This is a set menu where we expected the refill to be timely. It took them more than half an hour to serve fruits and preset dessert. We had to remind them to refill our drinking water every now and then.Nothing happens, not even an explanation of why it was like that after shared the feedback of our unsatisfactory. This restaurant need revamp of their service and training to their team. Please consider going elsewhere if you have other choices. Personally, I’m not planning to go back to this restaurant.Hope this is useful.Cheers!
The food and service is good but avoid it if you are a budget traveller.
Favorite restaurant in Bangkok. Outstanding!!
Great food with a lot of dishes in lunch set.
We booked a table for 4 a couple of weeks ago and had a very enjoyable time. Our decision to book was a little last minute and one of our party had not considered a dress code. Though dressed smartly, they had shorts on. The maitre d made zero fuss about this oversight and presented a pair of long pants to our friend to change into. Each course was fantastic. A fabulous taste of contemporary Thai cuisine. The only fault that I can find is that we felt each course came out a little too quickly. We were well taken care of and each dish well introduced. Most of us at the meal can handle spice well but I think that perhaps for those who cant, a little more indication of those dishes would be beneficial.
Extraordinary dining experience. From the moment you arrive, you know you will be in for a treat. Great value considering this is one of the best set menus in the world. As each dish comes out, you will get a quick synopsis on how best to attack it. Ambiance is on point and the location is near one of the best rooftop bars in the city so be sure to take advantage. Highly recommend!
Fine dining authentic Thai food. Very bold flavors
Waiting for an hour for the main dishes to come on the Saturday night. Flavour not that I expected for Thai dishes. Soup too salty& sour. The only delight of the evening is the durian dessert and attentive service from Nop. Other than that , the quality price ratio is low. I dont think Ill return to the restaurant.
Ok
A wonderful dining experience. Mum has Heritage and I had botanical (veggie) both offered plenty of variety many dishes outstanding (a couple so-so). Service was attentive without being overbearing. Prices as high as you would expect. My only real gripe; a dress code is a dress code. We made an effort to adhere to the emailed guidelines whereas a couple seated next to us were “just off the beach wear” I would have welcomed the opportunity to dress as I wished too.
Let me begin by saying the food is decent. It is not bad but not great either. The issue is the price tag that comes with the food. Being in Bangkok, you can probably pay 10% (or less) of the price and find better food. The only memorable dish (unfortunately not a good one) is the fried catfish which everyone agreed is just fried batter. We couldnt find the fish at all. Im pretty sure its there and its just fried flakes of cat fish but it is just fried batter for all intent and purposes. The premium you pay here is really just to dine in a clean and fancy environment. I wanted to try out this place to see how Thai cuisine can be elevated to fine dining and Im pretty sure this place failed. The service isnt what is expected of a top 50 restaurant either. I included a note when I reserved that someone in my party is allergic to shrimp. Not only was this neglected, it wasnt brought up at all by the service staff (I would have thought they would inquire about it when we arrive). Instead, the person who was allergic was just directed to order from the vegetarian menu. Again, not something I had expected given the restaurants ranking. They should have informed me ahead of time that wed be forced to order vegetarian menu. I understand some restaurants cant make accommodations to menu but it would have been better to inform me after I made the reservation.I have traveled to Thailand multiple times solely for Thai food and this is by far the biggest let down.
All the food are too salty and chilli.
Dessert of coconut so amazing
Wonderful dining experience and food. I enjoyed all of the courses and the waiter explained everything dish as it came out and how it is best eaten. Very helpful for a menu that contains a lot of food I dont regularly eat. The food was all very good; highly recommend!
Great modern Thai food but overrated.
I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone who is a connoisseur of Thai cuisine. This is a restaurant for beginners who do not mind paying outrageous prices for a basic Thai food experience. It was by far the biggest dining disappointment I have had in a long time. The unimpressive service and food (charging ridiculously and unnecessarily high prices) are a testament to very low self-awareness the management of the restaurant has. I have eaten around the word and love to splurge on dining, but what a big letdown to have experienced Nahm. They serve regular street-food style cooking with nothing extraordinary, but charge extraordinary prices. There are so many other wonderful luxurious alternatives in Bangkok for a memorable experience.
Wow, what a meal. Cons: Heavy on the lemongrass, and the room temperature was very cold, and place was nearly empty at 8:30pm on a Saturday night in May, but everything else was a strong Pro. My husband and I ordered the chefs choice prix fixe (2800 baht pp) and ordered a bottle of Spanish wine (3500 baht), so we ended up paying a fairly hefty amount. To be clear: this is a treat meal while in Bangkok! From the first course of canapés, to a second course of fish cooked several ways, to main entree courses of curry and a wok-fried dish, and an 8-piece dessert, the presentation and flavors were amazing. Not too spicy. Service was very hands-on. Even, a server peered through from the hallway and shouted out to me, a woman in the women’s bathroom, how to use the faucet. Yes, weird, but I respected how seriously he took his job to make our visit enjoyable. A bit tricky to find. Make sure you navigate to the metropolitan hotel. We grabbed a drink first at moon bar, and it ended up being a 8-10 minute walk despite being next door.
