Was initially drawn in by the playful storefront with the monkeys outside so I decided to take a look inside to see what it was all about.I entered the store with a beverage in my hand and obviously reading the sign on the front door to leave drinks and bags at the front desk I politely waited at the front desk as the lady behind the counter was busy on the phone.In the process a man that works there (I think) paces towards me and bluntly asks me to leave my stuff at the front in which I informed him that I was in fact waiting for someone so I can respectfully place my items somewhere appropriate as I didnt want to help myself by being respectful to the business.This is not the correct way to greet customers nor was it professional. The professional way of handling this situation is by greeting the customer, asking politely to leave items at the front counter and acknowledging the misunderstanding and even asking if I needed assistance and they did none of the above. I walked straight out of the shop after this encounter.

Great record / CD shop! Im into metal and classic rock and they had a great selection of CDs and new vinyl (as well as a bit of a used selection). To give you an idea of what they carry, I grabbed Threshold, Max Webster, Rainbow, and Pink Cream 69. For vinyl I grabbed Ride the Lightning and Kreator. They have a decent selection of used DVDs/Blu as well. Prices are very reasonable. $10-15 for most new CDs, $20-40 for most new vinyl. Used is around $3-5 for CDs, $10 for vinyl.

Staff was not to friendly. CDs are completely overpriced. The selection of vinyl they have is very disappointing. Not much used vinyl. Overall I will take my business elsewhere.

One of the coolest record stores Ive ever seen and been to in Canada! This place rocks with many great cds, records, etc! Highly recommend!

Amazing selection of music. Everything is alphabetical and not separated by genre but, it is tidy and organized. Be prepared to spend a lot of time here unless you know exactly what youre looking for. Staff is very kind, love this place.

I go here to buy vinyl. Always friendly, always have a excellent selection, and good prices. Highly recommend it, this is a regular stop for me. I find something I like every time.

Amazing to still have a music store in town with such a great variety of bands & albums to browse. A certain album I owned was all scratched up and only a few songs could play. It took me two seconds to find a new CD of it. Always enjoy browsing the many rows of albums here.

Best place (only?) To get vinyl in town. They will order why you need and are super friendly.

Fantastic collection for vinyl. Very diverse and very well organized. As well as nice staff and an over all wholesome feeling everytime I go.

Excellent independent record store. Vast selection of CDs, DVDs, Vinyl, Box Sets, etc. You can find everything you want or Mary Anne can order it for you. Every First Friday of the month theres a live band in-store which is always a pleasurable experience. Must visit when in downtown Sarnia.

Great records and a large selection of them to choose from. Very fun to browse and possibly find a great album to listen to. Very cool store.

Musicians sell your tickets here!Not only is Cheeky Monkey the coolest record store I think Ive been in (I have over a thousand records from many different stores), but they also do a great job supporting local music by promoting shows to their various media contacts website blog etc. Whats not to love?!

Old school CD/LP/DVD store. Live entertainment on First Friday night each month. Great place to visit.

They almost always have even some of the most obscure music and dvds in stock. If not, just ask and they can easily order it for you. The staff/owners are very knowlegable and friendly

They have a pretty good selection and the staff is so kind. Anything they dont have, you can have them order it. The prices are fair.

Terrible customer service. LP had horrible surface noise, they simply shrugged. Grooves records in London would have fixed issue immediately. Special order took 7 months to arrive. Staff seems clueless about their inventory.

An independent record shop that really cares about the local music scene, carries interesting inventory, and gives great customer service. Only shopped there twice and Im so impressed!
