One of the best dams (If that is a thing).Breezy, cool place. Great place for a picnic or a one day trip.It resembles the cliff scene from Madagascar 2. The one in Africa.

Went in early May 2018. The vastness of the water body is great. People have to take a pathway thats next to the bus stop leading to the water front. Its a 10 min walk from the main gate to the entry of the dam where entrance is not allowed. Use the side pathway.Watched a great sunset! Great spot to go with friends and family in the evenings.

One should visit this place during rainy season. The view from this place is great. A huge water reservoir surrounded with beautiful mountains and if you are there during rainy season the clouds above just make it a picture perfect scene.

A beautiful dam on the way to Bhor when u come from Pune - Bangalore highway. The dam doors look very beautiful when water is released. The internal view of the dam gates is very beautiful but for security reasons normal people are not allowed there. The back waters are also very serene.

Its nice place. The gates of the damn are open during the month of August till about October. It is worth visiting the damn during this time. At other times, theres nothing much to see really. They also do not permit anyone to see the damn from the main gate. One needs to take a special permission as there have been many cases of suicides. Theres a small road that leads to the backwaters of the damn. That place is worth visiting post monsoon.

This dam is an example of very beautiful and strong British art and its excellent construction

Sa
Review №94

The dam was constructed in Bhor taluka of Pune district during the British rule. The dam was constructed after studying the problems of the time and overcoming many obstacles. This British era dam, which is in full stone construction, is still standing today. In the rainy season, the area around this dam area is open.
