Great experience! My son just finished kindergarten and is excelling in reading and math thanks to Challenger. I realize the rigorous program isnt for everyone but it was a perfect fit for my son. The staff is wonderful, very understanding and attentive. Highly recommend

My son is thriving at this school. They have taught him so much! Im so glad I chose this school over a Montessori for my curious little extrovert. They do a lot of group learning and fun activities throughout the day. My son comes home excited to tell me about the things theyre doing in class. Love the teachers as well! All very nice and good to the kids.

My daughter loves her school and the teachers. She is currently in kindergarten program and would be continuing with challenger sandy for 1st Grade. The curriculum is structured in a way that it gives a very strong foundation of basic English, Math and Science. Foundation is very important for a strong building and I am so glad my daughter is in the right place! They also encourage students to develop their art skills, speaking skills in front of big crowd and physical activities which refreshes the young minds!I would highly recommend challenger sandy branch for those who are looking for their kids to learn and excel from preschool through higher grades.

Absolutely loved Challenger school. My daughter started in the preschool program at 3 and attended for 2.5 years. Unfortunately we had to move out of state, and our new state does not have a school nearby. The teachers were amazing and consistent. My daughter loved going every day. We will miss this great school.

Fantastic!!! I continue to be so impressed with this preschool. I sent my son there on the recommendation of a good friend - her children went there for years, and are now top of the class in their high schools. My son LOVES his class. This is his first experience with school, so of course I was nervous about how hed transition - but he comes home full of happy stories about his day. He told me about a jungle adventure they went on - he said they crawled through a tunnel with vines and saw a tiger in the trees! I love that hes enjoying school so much. His teacher is very friendly and I can tell she has fun at her job! The other teachers Ive met and the lady at the desk and the headmaster are wonderful - they are always there to answer my questions. My son is in a three days a week program - and he comes home with two art projects every day! Not to mention - hes been singing songs about the vowels for me - and hes only three! When I was 3 years old - I had no idea what a vowel was. This school is fabulous - I cant say enough good things!!

We love our teachers and staff at the Challenger in Sandy! Best school in Utah! I am just amazed of how much our daughter has learned since Preschool. She is just about to finish second grade. I would recommend this school to everyone that can afford it. It is the best investment in your childrens education!

My child has been going here for about 6 months. While she is still relatively young I am blown away every night at her knowledge. Over winter break she said she was so excited to go back. The teachers and staff are so helpful and cheerful every day. I cant say enough good things about this school. Definitely worth it!

Callenger is by far the best school for my child! My son has been attending Challenger since 3yrs old and he has excelled in all areas socially as well as academically. He is now a first grader writing unbelievable stories, multiplication, and his confidence within himself is priceless! Thanks Challenger for being a top notch, well rounded Amazing school!

I really cant say enough positive things about this school. My daughter had a lot of separation anxiety about going to daycare but after about a week at Challenger, she happily ran in to see her teacher and friends. She has made so many good friends there and tells us every day about what she did with them and who she played with. She adores her teachers. Miss Allison has been her favorite and I love how engaged she is with my daughter. As far as academics, I am thoroughly impressed that my daughter is reading at only 3. She is able to sound out words on her own in other books and even spell words by using their sounds. The only thing I struggled with was the tuition cost, but they have introduced a referral program and Im hoping someone will be interested because both the referer and the referee will get a 15% discount! Overall, I am extremely happy with this school so far and cant wait until my son is old enough to go as well.

I love Challenger so much! Im leaving to go to a different school next year, but I dont want to. I am going to miss Challenger a lot, as well as my friends. The teachers are awesome, and they make learning fun and easy. I learned so much here, like pi and algebra in 5th grade! I also learned how to make wonderful essay answers, so this will help me in the long run. I highly recommend sending your children here, because Challenger is the best school ever!

Nice School for kids to get their foundation strong.All teachers are so encouraging and Motivating.

Challenger is an amazing academic environment. I have had all my kids in the preschool program. Two of my children have been in the Kindergarten program. After Kindergarten my child was reading 2nd grade books and her math skills where way above her peers. I like more about challenger than dislike. My only suggestion is to have more parent involvement and open communication such as texting between teachers and parents. With that said from my now kindergartner and 5 years ago when my oldest was attending it has improved greatly. Challenger is not for everyone, I do have a son with ADHD and behavioral issues and this would not be a place where he could thrive.

By far the best private school!! The teachers, directors, and staff are absolutely amazing.

Expect homework if you know that big in your kid will learn at a much faster pace than public school

Horrible. My daughter would come home and cry everyday. They had so much favoritism, she never even got a chance to compete, ask questions, and participate. Then the other kids were getting far better treatment, and grades when she put in more work and has nearly the same answers, even cheated once. She got bullyed not only by three alumni but by the teachers too, who let them do stuff she wasnt let to do, like go in the class when the teachers werent there, and argue with the teachers. They brainwashed the kids to think challengers the best by singing songs about challenger, and they inspire no creativity. We had to wait a few years to quite this as not to get her in trouble and see her Moor depressed then before, and Im her step dad. Teachers are mean, and have favoritism, and no time to help my daughter, only who they like.Dont go here or you and youre child will commite suicide. She only got to seventh grade, and is confused in many subjects she left off.

Extremely disappointed with the pre-school. We had out three-year old enrolled for two months and pulled him out for the following reasons:1) They sent him outside for recess in sub-freezing temperatures without gloves and with his jacket unzipped. (His gloves were in his bag.) His hands were still cold when I picked him up more than an hour later. When I complained to the administrator, her unapologetic response was He should have known better. REALLY!?!?!2) We picked him up one afternoon to find him soaking in urine. His skin was red and chafing, so it was obvious that he had been wet for quite some time. Our child had been potty trained for over a year at this point. He told us that when he needed to go to the bathroom the teacher told him to just hold it and he could go in a minute. We did not get any call from the school to let us know that this had happened and the teacher claimed that she didnt know about it, even though it was easy to see and smell.3) At the beginning our son was excited to be going to Challenger. However, within a few weeks there was a total change and he was telling us that he hated that place and that his teachers were mean. He would cry when we were dropping him off.The disregard for our childs safety as well as the lack of care that the teachers and administration showed when we raised these concerns made me seriously consider filing a complaint with the state.We have since placed our son in a different pre-school where he is thriving. From our experience and that of several other reviewers, it is clear that the administration and teachers at Challenger are not properly trained or equipped to care for pre-school aged children unless they fit a specific mold. I would strongly encourage other parents to think carefully before placing their child in Challenger Preschool.

*WARNING* DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS HERE !!!!! This school is the worlds most hated school. I was there for 1 year and ohhh it was the worst school ever. They are super racist and they persecuted us because we were Indians if you want to send your kids to a school send the to American PrepatoryAcademy. They dont judge you they also put in a good math for instance if I am in 6th grade I will do 8th grade math . That is a super good thing about them!!!

Ive had the same horrible experiences as the previous posts, especially regarding the PreK teachers, the Director and the Headmaster. They have completely taken the fun out of learning and my child has been having nightmares for the last few months due to their constant YELLING and Bullying that amazingly enough comes from the Teachers! Its pointless to talk to the teacher and when I brought these issues to the Director, she unbelievably tried to turn it around on me and reprimanded me. She then interrogated my child - brainwashing him further! When I tried to bring the Headmaster into the situation that clearly the Director was not resolving, he wouldnt return my calls! Very Poorly Ran - needless to say, my child no longer goes to Challenger. Theyve cowed me into submission, so that the only way I can be heard is through this avenue. BE WARNED! This is not the school for you!

Watch out for the Pre-K! Ms Aubrey is horrible and the Directors at the Sandy campus are useless. Ms Aubrey, in particular, specializes in preaching instead of teaching and has absolutely no patience. She’ll go over the concept one time and if the kids don’t understand (which is every time) she will write a note on their paper saying the child wasn’t listening. So the parent ends up teaching the kids at home. Now, I can understand every now and then, but this was happening every day! What was I paying $1,000.00 a month for? Ms Aubrey made my daughter so miserable that she was single-handedly turning her first learning experiences into a nightmare. I had to wait a full year to write this review, because the Teachers and Directors retaliate against the kids if you bring up any problems. I don’t understand how anyone could treat these cute little kids the way Ms Aubrey does and the Directors are so defensive they cant see what is, so clearly, a big problem. Definitely a boot camp. :(

My daughter loves her preschool class!

I hate hate HATE this school worst school anybody can go to the teachers and people are so racist I really hate this school and the teachers here especially a teacher named Keith and I was in 2nd grade that time and a headmaster named gorgeoun she is so dumb she looks like a nerd which just barely got bullied so she is pretty dumb she is never happy she is always acting dumb but if you want to go to a school go to AMERICAN PREPATORY ACADEMY I love APA best school ever

Please DONT enroll your child at the Sandy campus!My daughter attended the Holladay Challenger campus for a year, including the summer term. At the Sandy campus I couldnt stand having her there for longer than 3 months. Im an easy going person, so for me to get to the point to come to the internet to write a bad review about something, its because I dont want others to make the same mistake I did.I could go on and on and detail every single problem/flaw I noticed/had with the Sandy campus. But then this review would get too long.Long story short, the Sandy preschool campus is overcrowded; my daughter never got to know her teachers well; not even her classmates. She started telling me that she hated Challenger school and that she didnt want to go to school anymore (something that had never happened in the previous campus). I agree with other reviewers who said their children became like zombies. The Sandy campus does an excellent job in turning your child from a happy human to a sad zombie.Now the employees:1. Miss Diane (the lady at the front desk) is ALWAYS (and I mean it) on the phone talking personal matters. If you need something taken care, you have to stand in front of her for at least 5 minutes before she hangs up the phone to help you out. Her family comes first, not you who pays for her salary through Challengers tuition.2. The girls in the schools drive thru could care less for your childs well being. They are so lazy to walk your child around your car if you have your childs car seat installed behind the drivers seat that all they do is squeeze your child through the back seat even if you have another child sitting in the car seat installed behind the passengers door. Horrendous experience.3. I was charged another registration fee for the same school year and some other fees (?) when my daughter got transferred even though I was told verbally by Miss Diane that everything was taken care of. Up until today I have no idea what they charged me for, but since I am easy going, I paid for whatever they had asked me without questioning.My daughter is currently enrolled in their summer program but I decided to let go of the 2 remaining weeks before the session is over. I cant stand the Sandy campus anymore. Unfortunately I made the mistake of registering my child for next schools year and cant get my $270 back, even though $200 out of that fee is prepaid tuition. They dont care if youre giving them a month notice or if all youre asking for is the prepaid tuition since youre not getting the services paid for. I talked to the so called Headmaster, Shawn Spainhour who could care less about my particular situation. I called the Corporate office multiple times in a week, spoke with Amy, who is unfriendly, unhelpful and even though you think youre leaving messages to the CEO of Challenger School she never passes on your messages. She wont give you the CEOs email address, phone number or even schedule an appointment with him if you ask her to. Ive never met someone so useless as she is. She wins the award of the employee with the worst customer service on the planet.So thanks to the Sandy campus, I will NEVER send my daughter there again. My other child will be in preschool age next year and he will be lucky to have never stepped a foot in your school. Ive told my sister already not to enroll my niece at Challenger for next Fall either. And this is just the beginning.Stay away from Challenger Sandy!

Our child had a terrible experience here. We felt that the teachers and staff were more concerned with group think, policies, and conformity than for the well being of our child.
