Came here on an impromptu invitation from an acquaintance to take a respite of cosmic music from a very hectic week and weekend of writing.Pros: large comfortable and historical venue, fast and efficient customer service, personable ushers, good acoustics, great depth and quality of talent, leadership creates and culture for a love of music. Pride of ownership.Cons: audio had some issues in the beginning, location is not the best. Parking attendants could be more helpful.

Saw tarzan, extremely well done. This spot is a complete gem. The ambiance of the place inside and out is completely separate from the outside world. Its like stepping into the 30s and all the cast/crew work really hard to keep the place a ten both in physical and style quality 5/5 will definitely go again

We came here around Christmas time to see The Nutcracker which was a wonderful little show. The theater itself is beautiful as well as historic being over 90 years old. The seats were surprisingly wide and gave plenty of space to enjoy the ballet comfortably. This was actually my family second trip to the theater and I wouldnt mind coming again.

This Treasured Landmark nestled in Historic Downtown San Bernardino is a true Gem opened in 1928. As a child I was blessed to see The Nutcracker. As an adult we were treated to the stage presentation of Beauty & The Beast. It was Spectacular. The Theater itself today is still Magnificently Beautiful and again is a true Treasure to San Bernardino.

We came here for a performance if the nutcracker with the school. The theater was packed and they did a great job of guiding everyone to their seats. There are bathrooms on the balcony level to which makes it convenient. They had candy for sale all though it was $3 for each bag it was worth it to keep my kiddo settled. They managed the bus traffic well too. The theater is gorgeous and kept up well. Its a gem in the I.E.

Very neat experience. First play I have been to since high school. Statium seating, chairs are comfy, marked well and easy to find. We saw the SB symphony, Cirque de la Symphony show. It was absolutely incredible. The theatre, the people, the talent, the atmosphere, the music and performance was truly amazing. I have never had so much fun at the symphony. The maestro Anthony is second to none! Everyone was so into the show, all ages and background, from all over the community. Parking is right across the street, close to the freeway. Next time we will try to find a nice restaurant or bar to visit before the show. Dont miss out on this one, folks!

First time attending a play at the theater and I enjoyed it. From the moment youre greeted at the door, you feel very welcomed. They even help you with guidance if its your first time and to your seats. Very polite staff. The play was great. Leaving wasnt confusing. The rows and seats are somewhat small but it is the theater. So its not unusual.

The history of the theatre is great. Its been well preserved, but the seats are VERY uncomfortable. The aisles are so close that people cant pass by reasonably and if youre taller than 56 or so your knees will be hitting the back of the seat in front of you. Again the theatre is beautifully preserved but it might be time for seat renovations.

We saw the play of Beauty and the Beast. The acting was superb, the special effects was great and the seating was wonderful. It is a little steep price wise but I feel this particular play was worth the price. My daughter and granddaughter accompanied me and my 8 year old granddaughter was absolutely enthralled. The music and the singing were equally good as the acting. This was definitely a professional crew all around.

A beautiful old theater from the golden years of the stage, properly restored with beautiful appurtenances of the professional stage. It is not Broadway, but it could be, including being as beautiful as some Broadway (and off Broadway theaters). Beautiful rendition of Mary Poppins. The show centered more on the father than the mothers career which is why a star is gone. I like the vote for women song like the Disney movie. Nevertheless I like super song which was nicely done and with the edit of bert part and the married couple part omitted. Also I like feed the birds where they made the kids change their minds. I only saw one half because I was with my job ; I was curious to see the ending because I heard it was more flying.

Mistakes were made which could have been fixed with a little communication. April 28, 2018 7pm we had $80 tickets to see the Righteous Brothers instead we stood with hundreds of others in a line which wrapped around the building twice UNTIL nearly 8:40pm. Apparently technical issues delayed the concert and the ability to enter the venue. Shame on California Theatre for doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to update or inform guests stuck in line. One would expect that someone from the theater could at least communicate with those stuck waiting. Were not a young crowd, many relied on canes, walkers and wheelchairs. Bathroom stops were necessary. Had we a clue we would be outside in the cold for nearly 2 hours people could leave for a moment to find alternative facilities knowing that we had the time. SHAME ON YOU CALIFORNIA THEATER! As we finally make it to the finish line and enter the theater we find that THE CONCERT STARTED WITHOUT US! Incredibly inept management. The Righteous Brothers were Righteous. Gary Puckett enjoyable. Unfortunately I will personally never step in this poorly managed venue again.

This theater is the best kept secret in the Inland Empire. For years my wife and I would go to the Almandson or Pantages Theatres in Hollywood to see live show productions, not knowing about this performing arts center in our own back yard. A very nice place to see a decent play or musical. It has a very old time feel to it with great archetecture throughout. They do serve alcohol, but they dont have a full bar. The seats are very soft and comfortable with just enough leg room for me and I stand at about 510. They have very nice plays there and the actors for Beauty and the Beast were above my expectations. Dont expect the full Broadway experience like you would at Pantages, but youll get really close. The prices are well worth it. You wont be disappointed.
