So disappointed! This place is absolutely terrible! We come here for the convenience/location proximity to our home, and have been screwed one too many times.1) Very rarely will you ever get anyone to answers the phones!2) When you confirm a price/car ON THE PHONE and drive over, the car with the agreed upon price suddenly isnt available even though the conversation and arrival took place within less than an hour. Theyre busy, but not that busy!3) When you make a reservation online, its still not guaranteed that the car/price will be here. Your only option will be to get a more expensive car or get a refund which is beyond aggravating. Especially when time, cost, and plans are already set and in motion.4) they DO NOT HAVE A KEY DROP OFF BOX or spare keys to open their cars if you lock the keys inside to drop off early. You will have to drop the car off during their hours of operation.5) There are NO PUBLIC restrooms so if your child has to go youre out of luck. No exceptions!6) Theres not enough public seating inside. Only one small bench and it is sweltering outside.7) Expect a long weight. It takes a long time to get all the paperwork in order as well as the car prepared/checked.Basically, to say that this Hertz facility is inadequate is an understatement. I highly encourage you to go elsewhere. I know we will.

I appreciate good customer service and it started with being greeted and acknowledged upon entry of the building. Alejandro was our representative, he was fast, efficient and his positive attitude was contagious regardless of the fun fact that he upgraded our vehicle at no extra charge, not even taxes. Our car didn’t have any problems and the A/C worked great. Our car was overall clean; however was due for a “detailed” cleaning; meaning there was a-lot of dust in the cracks, crevices and larger areas that aren’t seen. On a scale from 1 to 10 the smell of the car was an 8. Not a bad smell but slightly noticeable. ( I have an acute sense of smell, to someone else a smell might not have been noticeable). We’ve been renting with Hertz for years, we’ve always had a good experience and have appreciated the different personalities we’ve encountered renting with them. This place needs better management. Its a scam! You call ahead, make a reservation, get verbal confirmation from the sales associate AND IT DOESNT MATTER. The car you were looking to rent or had a paid reservation on is in the lot yet unavailable; the options are to pay more for a larger vehicle or get a refund. Thanks for the bare minimum Hertz.

This location is the worst Hertz location you can go to.I gave this location the benefit of the doubt, but man their customer service is horrible. I would prefer to Lyft, or go to Enterpirse then ever deal with this location. Starting from management they are horrible… They don’t even deserve one star. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME !!!

Rented a car in the morning and drove it for 10 minutes. Parked it for a couple hours and it wouldnt start. I called hertz in regards to this issue and they made me wait for 40 minutes saying they needed to check my file. They finally took me off hold and asked me if I knew how to properly turn on a vehicle. That is possibly the most sexist thing I couldve heard. A female not knowing how to start a car. The alternator is not working properly which allows the engine to stay running meaning there is a starter issue. The car is beeping saying Please check the starter system. That has nothing to do with knowing how to turn on a car properly. David, the manager, was very demeaning and started giving me attitude when I had let him know it wasnt a simple issue. Anyways, dont come here if youre a female unless you want to receive backlash for not knowing common knowledge.

Very unprofessional people here. Ive been calling for 20 minutes finally I get someone on the phone he breaks up the phone wasnt clear. I explained to him that he broke up he says hes sorry hes doesnt know who I was talking to. I said youre the only one that Ive been talking to but you broke up then he hangs up on me. Apparently you guys are so busy that you dont need another customer. Listen to what a customer wants, because now Im going to go somewhere else. Its your loss I have the money to rent a car anywhere I need to go.

I rented a car from this location on 3/29/21, everything was prepaid. I was told that if I extended my rental , I would be charged only for that extra day. I extended the rental and returned the car on time. When I arrived , the employee told me to just leave the keys. Later on, I get an invoice saying the car was late and charging me an extra $456 on top of what was prepaid. I’ve called customer service multiple times and was given different reasons why I was charged each time. After spending a long time on the phone I was told I would receive a refund. It’s been almost two months and no refund has been issued. I called back and asked to speak to a supervisor and was told none were available. I’ve never had an issue with enterprise or Budget rentals. Never will I rent from such a bad company who could care less about their customers. If you value your money, rent elsewhere.

They gave no help & then lied again about who to call to get help, leaving me on the phone for over an hour, for their screw up. Liars have no place in customer service.

If I could give zero stars I would! Not only do you have to wait in line FOREVER while they walk past you, theyll let you get all the way there with a DC* stated you can use DC on site* & charge $500 deposit upon walking into the establishment. Its pandemic these people need to hire help that actually help instead of taking down reservations that youll never get.

If I could give them zero stars I most certainly would! Upon entering I was not greeted nor acknowledged I waited about 25min before another gentlemen a customer walked in he was immediately greeted and asked if he had a reservation. I obviously now was quite irritated and told the worker I was here first to which he respond Yeah Ill get to you in a min in a very condescending tone. I then told him there was also another customer before me who had just been waiting. He visible upset at my insisting sat down and asked do I have ba reservation theyre out of cars its going to be a 2hr wait. I told him my appointment time which now was 45mins past and he said okay well you have to wait. Now very upset at being spoken to like this I asked if he could call I didnt want to get outside myself because of his attitude I figured it best I leave. 2hrs pass no call I go back to the office and again was not greeted nor acknowledged waited about 20 mins before walking up and addressing another employee explaining the prior incident. He said he had to see if he could help me then had me waiting almost till closing I watched them greet and help plenty of customers before walking out. I will never ever ever rent from the San Bernardino location ever again.

Hertz saved the day! I have a nightmare of a auto claim with Allstate Ins & Enterprise took my car & money they shouldnt have because Allstate was responsible for past 30 days. When picking up my repaired vehicle that Allstate didnt want to repair right, the car overheated & lift me stranded. Thank you Jesus for AAA that put me in this rental! The Manager felt so bad about my situation that he personally put me in a car asap & hope that this would help me get back to normal. I cried in the car because I was so overwhelmed with relief. I spent most to the day on hold.😠Or they would say they would call me back, and not do it.Made a reservation 5 days early. called about picking up the car and they said there was no reservation.Made another reservation.Called to get the confirmation number. Said they couldnt find a reservation.Call them back. sometimes they pick up the phone sometimes they dont.most the time they just put me on hold, and never pick up.They wasted my whole day. And they cost me a lot of money with their nonsense.So F this place.

This was the worst experience ever. We walked in and we were told that our insurance covered our rental for five days for free all we had to pay was the taxes. Well that was not the case at all, when we returned the car. They charged us for the five day rental because the insurance company did not cover the rental after all. Their bad right... not according to them. Customer service ( Jordan ) what a joke he had no legitimate response to any of my questions but he was talking to us like we were lucky for his services. Never again! Btw, there was at least two customers having issues with there Rental service while we were present. Trust me rent from someone else .

Service was okay. They should really update their policies online because they dont tell you that you have to pay an extra $200 deposit on top of your vehicle rental expenses. And they also dont accept debit cards, only major credit cards. It would save people more time if they added that while you are booking a rental with them.

Poor customer serviceI booked a car online and I called them for asking some question about insurance they put me on the hold for 20 minutes and after 20 minutes nobody answered and then hung up phone on me and again I called them again but different person answer the call she right after answer the call told me can you hold on one second she put me on the phone For more than 20 minutes again no answer

I am unhappy. I had been in touch with corporate and hertz here in San Bernardino several times since 09/14/2020, spoke to each place at least 3 or 4 times explaining if check did not come the worst case would be i would pay when our 100 percent veteran check came on first. I explained it comes early so the 28th at latest. I got a call today to take car in or pay now today. No warning we took car back to hertz and were told they would work out with manager. But no we were left with no car to drive after having it this long (a few days before our money comes) we could not continue having car. I had been in contact as I said and had thought we were all on same page, instead we were left to find a ride home. We will certainly pay our bill when money comes. Thanks for the time we rented but dont understand why could not continue til 28th as I had said would be the worst case

The customer service at the San Bernardino location was the worst uncomfortable experience I have ever had from start to finish, I was charged so many fees including a $400 cleaning fee for pet hair...the only pets I have are goldfish. I am beside myself and will be filing a complaint. Whoever is in charge of this location has to be aware of what’s going on. I have never experienced this kind of service from enterprise or budget, next time I will gladly pay a couple dollars extra and go somewhere else

The manger on duty this afternoon has no concern for customer server. I was over 15 minutes early for my scheduled pickup, yet I didnt get offered help until 10 minutes after my appointment. The manager sent one girl on break rather than helping me, and she had a girl take over her work while she took a conference call, rather than help me. My scheduled appointment should have been a quick in out so they easily could have taken me, especially since no one else was waiting. I went to Enterprise instead.

While I was disappointed the 2019 Hyundai, Elantra assigned to me did not have a CD player, I appreciated the friendly service by Mr. Kenneth (picked me up/dropped-off) and the young ladies who helped me when I received the car & returned it. This is the worst Hertz ever! I arrived right at 8AM and they still werent opening until 5 minutes after opening. Not only that but there were 6 people to 1 worker. There was only 2 seats available to sit so everyone else was standing around. Their system was down and only 1 employee knew how to do transactions through paper instead of the computer. I ended up getting my car at 9:30AM. When I was returning it, their system was still down after a week! Very unprofessional. Worst car rental experience, never again. Better off paying a little bit more for Enterprise.

I had been in an accident. My adjuster had made a reservation for me here at this location. I called by 11:57am today on Saturday 4/27/2019. Whoever picked up asked if Im picking up today or monday. I said today would be best.. not knowing the time they closed today. She said Well you cant pick up today cus we close in 3 minutes and everyone there with her were all laughing about it. These people are LIARS and FRAUDS. Charged an unauthorized large amount of money to my credit card (for insurance that I opted out of at the time of first renting), after returning their vehicle. They lied, did not care about me, the customer, and basically called me a liar. Really??? I specifically opted out and this is robbery. DONT RENT A CAR FROM THIS COMPANY EVER. I would recommend Camino st Hertz before 21st. This seem to be the main Hertz place in San Bernardino so they stay stock with cars. And because 21st messed up on my reservation they worked with me on my return time for the same price..

I would just say take a pic of how much gas there is in the car before you leave. They try to say it had over a lil half a tank when it was barely a quarter tank . Lady said she checked it herself this and that before I received it. I know how much there was when I received it and the car wasnt even clean like the other ones.

Wasted $40 on Uber rides going to and from Hertz location in San Bernardino when their pick up I had called for an hour in advance was a no show, When I had finally got there I was refused the rental I have reserved and prepaid for online the previous day. And lets not forget about the only employee that was there putting in her lunch order with here co-worker while I was trying to get a hold of customer service to resolve the issue. Thanks Hertz

Had an appointment for pick up waited an hour no one showed up. Got dropped off at the location by a dealership shuttle and had to wait in line for another hour. The car reeked of fast food, the dials were greasy and there were ketchup stains everywhere.Upon returning the car I had to wait on the agent to clean a cars windshield/windows before being seen.Horrible experience.

I had to go there to exchange a rental and had call the night before to teIl them I would be coming. when I got there I was told to have a seat while they checked the car inaproximently 30 minutes I was told since the gas tank was not on full that they could fill it for $9.83 a gallon or just go somewhere and fill it, which I did reluckantly as I was doing them a fovor since I was not compansated for having to swap out this car to begin with.. oh the gas was 2 1/2 gallons short of full and was treated rudely and was told it was only half full ! anyway after returning from fueling up the car, I had to wait another 20-25 minutes before I was givin another car.. It was not a plesant experance, I will go back to enterprise for any future rental needs,, they are much more professional and curtious !

Went to hertz and attempted to rent a truck. The company called us the night before and asked if we still wanted the truck we said yes. This morning we come to this establishment on camino orange show road and not only do they not have the car, they had us waiting for more than an hour to tell us they cant help us. Dane, assistant Manager was very unhelpful and not professional. I asked him to help me with my flat tire, for all my questions he replied NO, NO, NO.I cant do that, I cant do this, I cant do anything except put some air in your flat tire SO YOU CAN DRIVE to SHOP and fix your tire, gave me a favor which I paid for (insurance)I paid almost 800$ for Mercedes C300 and this kind of service they provide.Thank you Hertz.
