Amazing water fall..natural beauty

Nice place and good for photo shoot but its a barrage not a picnic place. Picnic place is near to it.

This barrage is built on the brahmani river with a primary objective to stop flooding in low lying area, irrigation in the drought prone areas in angul district with a small hydro electricity generation plant as an added advantage. The barrage also connects the coal city, talcher to the deogarh district via khamar, pallahara. Later water pumps were established to pump water to the super critical thermal power plant of NTPC at Kaniha. There is a colony nearby for the engineer and his sub coordinates nearby too. Fishermen catching fish on lower deck of barrage is a usual scene. the barrage has been renovated recently to strengthen its structure and to protect general public. Nearby hilltops are famous for picnics/ family outings too.
