Im an own book reader. So dont know much abt the books collection in library. For own book reading in the ground floor, its a good place. But post covid, its been shifted to the 2nd floor which is kind of cramped. But this is the best place for readers in salem, coz theres no other option. Cant compare to the quality of anna centenary or mgr univ libraries or even other pvt study rooms in chennai and other districts. For ppl in salem, only option. Not the worst. satisfied. Would recommend.

Nice place. Has clean restrooms and RO water. No membership needed to read books. It is needed only to borrow books. Only three star rating because of lack of new books. Most of the books in that library are old (like very old). I go there with my Kindle to read my own books. On rare occasions, I find a interesting book that someone returned and Ill pick it up and read it. 3/5 highly recommend.

Its good place. Has lot of reference books and books for competitive government exams. The maintenance is fairly good.

Went to the library to become member. Took rs 61 along with address proof and photo. I thought I should check the facilities before becoming member.After seeing inside I decided not to become the member and luckily my Rs 61 is saved.Facilities are really bad and if not horrible. Went to the children’s section to see and it’s very disappointing to see nothing there, some books are there but very dusty and useless.I was met by some people working in the library probably asst librarian lady who was in the front desk who had no interest in her work whatsoever.I have given 1 star as this is the minimum if not I would given 0 star for rating this library.Only good thing about the library is it’s good for jobless and pension age people to come and read all the newspapers the whole day and also to pass the time.In summary this library is useless and my 20 min of visiting this place is complete waste of time.

Quite ambiance very calm and its study friendly environment as you can see various people studying along and there was pindrop silence the library is equipped with RO water and is easily accessable from the main road

61$ plus Adhar Card proof. The place is crowded with old and young people. No place to study peacefully.

The District Central Library with a lot of Books, Daily, Weekly, Fortnightly, Monthly Magazines in Tamil, English and some other languages available here. But the number of readers comming here, are not enough.
