For $18.39 per person (drink and plate), the food could have been better. I don’t expect high quality food from a buffet, but this is pretty bad, especially for the price. Cleanliness was also a huge miss, questionable dishwashing. There were also no sauce cups/dishes provided. If you want good Chinese food, go elsewhere.UPDATE: They charged us $18.98 per person. For a party of seven, the total was $128.73. When we asked to pay separate, they punched $18.98 for each of us. Should have been $18.39. Watch your bill if you decide to come back, and know nobody here really understands English.

Staff was friendly, fast, always kept our glasses full. Great variety of choices, and we will definitely return for more great food.

No one speaks English here. I told them something was empty, thought I was ignored, but then they brought me a pot of tea--- which is not free by the way. I told 3 different staff that we didnt order tea but no one understood. Service is lazy, had to ask for refills and tell them when things ran out. Demanding for the tip about 3 times and we never got a refill until we asked 2 plates later. Food was cold and very limited with old and stale options. Ice cream tastes a little sour and cookies are packaged which I seen from dollar tree. Im not really a picky eater but this place is not a buffet to recommend to anyone. Oh and also english is not there strongest language very hard to communicate.

The food was ok . The thing that concerned me was that I saw the waitress cleaning the sald bar and she scooped the food from the sald bar back into the lettuce container contaminating the rest of the sald. I will not be going back. It wasnt worth the 17 dollars.

A good selection of food to choose from. Its certainly more towards an American style than Chinese when it comes to their selection. I am a huge fan of their seafood selection which includes fish, clams, octopus, and at times crab. Their dessert selection is certainly lacking with only having tiny cakes and cookies. The price is decent for a buffet. The staff seem to be quiet and distant when it comes to customer interactions. Thus dont go expecting customer service. All in all its a nice little buffet for when you want to go out on a budget with friends or family.

Lets put it this way, its great food for the price you pay. All you can eat buffet, and some of the things they have are pretty good and have a lot of variety. The food it by no means the best quality out there. It is hot or miss, some of its pretty good, some of its really not. Ive always found it a good place to eat out with the family that isnt horribly expensive and fills everyone up.

What a spread of exquisite Chinese food at an affordable cost. Bathrooms could use some love. Im not sure what the kitchen looks like. The buffet is kept stocked up with fresh food and very well kept clean. Thank you China Buffet. Keep up the good work.

You know the price was right for a lunch hour all-you-can-eat buffet, however the food was fairly monotonous with most dishes being the same style of cooked chicken just mixed in with different vegetables or sauces. I didnt find the staff to be very friendly however that could be my cultural perception and I own that however I think you would have been nice as I was paying for the meal. I will still return because it wasnt a bad experience but hope to have a better one nonetheless. I did like the chicken dishes and the seafood selections which is unique for Chinese buffet during. It wasnt too salty it wasnt overly saucy and it wasnt too cold like some buffets candy. There was lots of seating and they did a decent job keeping the floors clean and the tables wiped down and cleared.

I LOVED the buffet when I went for lunch. Everything was extremely fresh and extremely delicious. I intend to go back soon. Their prices are on par or better than others in the area for the same thing. Would recommend.

China Buffet is a Great Family Spot! The varieties are amazing and you can also order-up your own stir-fry selections! The desserts are fresh and the mini cakes are so moist and delicious!

The people were friendly and polite but not particularly interested in working. The service was, to put it lightly, was pathetic. Three of us were seated and there were only place settings for two. Had to steal a set form another table. Empty plates stacked up while staff walked by frequently. Once seated you were on your own.The food was edible at best. Most of it was like warm to cold and dry. Obviously it had been out for a while. What food that was fresh and hot was good but not much of that happened. For a restaurant that stays open till 10:00, youd think thered have more fresh food on the line at 7:00.I would not recommend this place. I have it one star because 0 was not an option

This is a good place to eat and I love their food! But we were in there and there is kids running around the whole reastraunt when we are trying to eat and the workers were sitting at a table talking and doing nothing about it. This is a really good place to eat but its not peaceful when kids run around

I didnt feel as if they wanted me there. No smiles or warm welcome. The food was what one expect at an average buffet. Not as many choices as Id like to see. I think if I took my kids they would like it. Lots of sweet choices. The price was almost double other places. I will not return.

I really wanted to like this place..but...No grill and almost 30 bucks for two people with a soda each is just frankly steep. Food was mostly fine, admittedly we came in between lunch and dinner so I expected a mix of warm and hot food...which is what I got.Really nice service and people, if not for the price and lack of grill id be giving 5 stars.As is I cant.

Went in before 3pm(lunch) but was charged higher price for dinner. Food wan cold but plentiful if you are hungry and looking for a fill up. Was also disappointed they offer no senior or military discounts.

This is a great place to get a bite to eat. Somewhat affordable prices for good quality food. Every time my family and I come here we are always greated with a smile, and the service here is quite great. I always leave with a full stomach and a smile on my face. I am happy to say that this is my favourite restaurant.

They have definitely improved a lot in the past couple years. But its alright its decent Chinese buffet food when you need at a decent price but other than that their waitresses can be pretty rude when asking if you need something or when you ask them for anything they kinda scoff or dont respond at all and have this irritated look on their faces so thats the only reason for the 3 stars is the waitresses could be friendlier other than that the food is okay not the best.

I love this place especially the Jalapeno Chicken, Japanese Chicken, Grilled Green Beans, Breaded Shrimp and Medium Prawns. They always have cold Sing Tao Beer. The price is fair and the atmosphere is standard for a reasonably cost Chinese buffet. The service is great especially Elaine she always makes sure you have a new cold beer! My children love to get the chicken nuggets, tatter tots and cherry & lime jello. The place in not fancy but the food is hot and consistent quality. I have visited at least (5) times and even stop for the lunch special. Ive witnessed a couple wedding parties and lunch crews having meetings which means its a great place that supports its community and I really like it and my family loves to visit.

Literally the worst place ever. The food had to have been sitting out for HOURS. The cantaloupe was dry and wrinkly. All the meat was cold, they didnt have any sauce. The desert table was literally cookies from Dollar tree. The service was terrible. They took our plates still covered in food without asking if we were done. They never asked to refill our drinks. The servers glared at us the whole time and were very rude. Never going there again. Id advice anyone that wants a good dinner to never ever EVER go there. Terrible experience.

First time here. There is a lot of food choices to choose from. Tried a little of everything, food score out of 5 is a 3. Establishment is a 3 out of 5. Service is a 2 out of 5. Food was good. I would come back if I would be around this side of town again. Took forever to get our drinks.Down side fruits are not fresh. Oranges and watermelon are old, dry and no flavor. You can tell the fruit is going bad.Bathrooms are really dirty. Which is a negative for me. I have kids they always needing to use a restroom.

This is likely the worst buffet Ive been to in Salem. Walked in at 5pm, food was below warm in the trays. They need to make more of an effort to get hot food out there, especially during dinner. Ice cream was runny, I paid 11.99 for this mess. Wish I wouldve went to Dell taco for Tuesday night taco night. Avoid this place, I am.

And to top off the cold food and rude staff I got food poisoning and had to take 3 days off work. No chance I would recommend this place to my worst enemy. First off the staff stares at you the whole time as if to visually say gtfoh. Was there 45 minutes never got a refill. Food was basically dried out from sitting out. Heath inspector would have a field day in this place because of the unsanitary spoons and forks I literally had to dig threw about 7 spoons before I found one that didn’t have food all over it. The staff had an attitude the whole time they were helping us like if you hate your job so much let’s have it closed down so you won’t be so mad. Would never recommend eating their salad simply because it’s not cooked. Would not recommend subjecting your family to this abuse unless you don’t like them. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Very rude staff, older Chinese woman walks around with a scowl, barking orders at the younger staff. Hot sour soup is good, but there isnt much else to praise about. Rotting kiwi was a big disappointment, health dept needs to be called. I had to flag down a server just to ask for more water, and she blew me off.

The food was good, if a little cold. The restaurant was relatively clean and organized. However the most unpleasant bit was the unfriendly service. The server was short with us, and the checkout person wouldnt say a word to us. In the parking lot an Asian woman with poor English yelled at us to just go home and then got back into her vehicle.Overly strange experience at this restaurant as a whole, cant say we will be back.... Me and my roommates move in the Lancaster commons. We decide to try this place after we put things away at home. As we where sitting and eatting. The waiters just keep stared at us behind where they bring the dishes. They seem to want us to just leave. Not friendly. Also I dont think they clean their ice cream maker. I had ice cream cone but I had to trow It away. It tasted like sour milk. Me and my roommates are not coming back. If they cleaned the place. Cooked the food better so people dont get sick. Changed how they treat people. I think they might do better.

If I could rate this any lower I would, trust me. The food was disgusting, the service was terrible, tables were sticky and just about everything was dirty and old. Definitely not coming back here again. The food here is either cold or room temp. , old and overcooked/undercooked. This food has food poisoning written all over it. Ive seen people walk out very dissatisfied and disappointed. Not coming here again, its not worth it.

The Food was okay it could have been better. Most of it wasnt very hot. The person bringing more food out was a little pushy. The restaurant appeared clean. The restaurant needs some updating and the buffet needs to be rearranged. Its very crowded trying to get food. It would be very difficult for a wheelchair to access the food. The Christmas decorations are still up which is odd its already August.

Almost all the food was luke warm we went during lunch time and got charged dinner time prices and my mom can only eat sotf foods rn and waited the whole time we were there (2 hours) for them to change out the very clearly old mashed potatoes and gravy both of which had cold films on the top if that wasnt enough Im now at home sick with food poisoning from old warm sour ranch they had sitting out at the salad bar. Not impressed.

Friendly employees and very popular with locals that load up on shrimp. We however were not impressed with many of the dishes and the overall look of the place was a bit dingy and worn down.

Less than 1 star rating. The waitress was rude when she asked us what drink we wanted. The food was cold and tasted like it had been sitting out for hours. My child was scolded for touching the fish tank. And, to top all that, the womens restroom was serviced while I was in there. The lady took each stalls trash can and emptied it into a larger bin. She left the old trash bag in each can and used the bottom of the trash can to push down the trash in the larger bin. Poopy toilet paper and bloody sanitary napkins stuck to the bottom of the trash can while others fell to the ground. Neither the floor or bottom of the bins were sanitized. Disgusting observation and tough to stomach any food afterwards. We definitely wont be returning!

The food is terrible. Everything tastes like Tabasco sauce. Unfortunately the food was not prepared quickly, the waters were slow too. Had good hopes but sadly not worth the money. Save your money find another Chinese dinner spot.

Everything was spicy hot, crab salad was rancid, pizza was like really bad burnt toast. Thay sat us and we got our food then when we got back other people were in our booth,they had double sat us. When they brought fresh trays of food out...it was cold. Spring rolls were terrible, even if you were lucky enough to have one with filling. $11.50 buffet and the drink is an extra charge.

Very bad service, the server took my cup for a refill with three other customers cups. The cheese had mold, when I tried to take a photo the lady grabbed it and threw it on the floor, and blammed walmart, the cheese also smelled bad.
