It is situated near to the salar railway station and because of that the mobile shop is running very good. But the service and the quality of the servicing is not that good as expected there. If any type of mobile servicing centre was there then it would be very good for the people of salar. Then no need to go Berhampore for servicing mobile.

Rail and Road connectivity is so good and both are close each other, just 1minute walking distance.

Its now under developing, nice for passenger.

MY HOME STATION THE BEST PLACE ON EARTH

Many Villages are connected with this railway station. It is rich place for educational and business purpose.

Salar is a place situated in Murshidabad. It is not a very congested or that much popular place. It is almost 20 minutes away from Katwa station, which is the nearest biggest market.

Purpose of station is to provide train at right time and maintain that schedule. This is not the case here. Trains are delayed and timing is very poor. People are not trustworthy either.

Although being a small station it offers some good facilty and travel roots.Almost every train has a stoppage here.

Total good conditions. Station communication of kandhi, kuli, khargram, mahira, and others area

One of the oldest station in Bandel Azimjang via Katwa (BAK Loop). Life line of Kandi Sub division. Azimganj Katwa Locals are the main trains of this Station. Other than that, it is also connected with Rampurhat and Malda Railway stations by direct Express and Passenger Trains. Some Important trains are Kamrup Express, Teesta Torsa Express, Hate Bazare Express, Radhikapur Express, Intercity Express, Paharia Express, Jamalpur Passenger, Rampurhat Passenger, Sealdah Jangipur MEMU etc. A number of very old trees are main environtal wealth of the station. But some of the trees are being cut for expansion of the station. Civic facilities are OK. There is a book stall at platform no 1. 2 unreserved ticket booking counters are opened 24 hours. There is also a counter for Reservation Tickets. The PPS counter remains opened from 8 am to 2 pm everyday except holidays. A vast Rickshaw cum Car Stand suits passengers to get their further ways easily. The Main Bus Stand of the Town is also very close to the station. It is only a minutes way.
