Again Boating started in saharsa after many years. It gives pleasure to visitors. And every year a 1 month fair is organized near the Matsyagandha Mandir that is also enjoyable. Only thing that must be taken care of is no one should get hurt during heavy rush on New year visit.. Bcoz that day a lot of people visit at a time.

A good and peaceful place near the famous Matyasgandha temple. Recently the cleaning and development had taken up, boating also continued for few days but it is of no use. Now it is as usual with plants covering the water. No proper maintenance. Nearby road also was damaged badly. Local people say it was the best one of the time. Now only fame was left.

A good place to go when you are bored. Situated outside the main city, this place has a religious significance. This place has CHOUSATH YOGINI KAALI MANDIR which is a must watch. It has historical mark too. Every year a mela is organised here in January.

The citys main tourist center was once lively in Matsyagandha Lake, but today the lake is disturbed. Due to the popular repression and administrations apathy, the lake of Matsyangandha has now returned to its former state. From the morning to late evening, there was a continuous flow of motorboat in the lake. But now people are afraid to come here even in the day due to the pleasure of the lake. The Matsyagandha Lake, which was built at a cost of millions, has now been transformed into a jungle-bushes. In this lake which is about two kilometer long, animals are flirting in place of people. New and old motorboat caru Khairheri museum is teasing in a corner of the building. Now the local people who do not even come here to tourists. People say that Cremation Ghat was built as a tourist destination. But again Matsyagandha Lake has been transformed into the cremation ground. People are scared to come here in the evening. Children play cricket all day long due to the dryness of the lake. The lake was revived with the relentless efforts of former DM and SDO. But after being lonely for some days, the lake situation has again become miserable.
