Non functional airport. Built only for private planes and VVIPs

Not really an airport. Used for only for private jeta for some politicians or some high profile Sail member. Nevertheless the ground and the area near airport is open to public and currently seems to be a hot spot for hanging out. Hope commercial flights start operating soon as i hoped all my childhood.

One of the most valuable place in rourkela .Well maintained by the government.Some times the rourkela municipality take some necessary steps to be in first position .after becoming the SMART CITY many developments are being proced .The place is very vulnerable during summer season.In winter vacation many picnics are ahead .It is situated in sector 13 .its about one kilometre from ring road . presently many vocational training education are also held by many organization.I hope it will became a big and famous AIRPORT SOON ..

Best airport with a peaceful environment...is most awaking n 3rd largest airport of odisha which will opened for gn.public very soon as work is on progress.

Its a facility for emergency to anyone to use flights both publicly and privately. It is a good option for travel if there is emergency. Around Rourkela, theres no facility of air transport which Rourkela made it facilitate. I hope my views are been carried on and no hampering is being done to it

It was good for picnics but now picnic there is banned, in morning time people come there for a walk or for other activity but at night its too dark and lonesome

It is second and the last airport in Odisha where aviation fuel is available after Bhubneshwar airport . Therefore it is now known as airport but earlier it was known as aerodrum(small airport). It is also a good news that 18-20 seater planes with scheduled Rourkela to Kolkata with be starting from 28 January . Later planes with scheduled Rourkela to Delhi , Rourkela to Mumbai , and other places will be started .

Sir why not are you make it another airport in location of Luakera as the koel River and opposite of the river there is the mountain you can make it a international airport by which a domestic and international airlines can come and can fly back easily from opposite of Luakera and behind of kacharu you can make cut the mountain and make it a long length of the Airport in the Mountain many time as during the time goes away then you need it a land to make it a air port it will be better to make a new airport in the Mountain of Rourkela as you can see it from the small Airport of Rourkela there is a Huge mountain view you can see it small airport of rourkela in side of the Koel River may be now all tribal peoples lives in the village but, no one lives in the mountain you can make it the new runway of new airport in the mountain but, not in the hill but, you can make it the airport beside of the Hill . I cannot make you understand instead if i can show you by help of google map .
