Its a huge hall with capacity of 5k people... But the chairs r old ones nd uncomfortable...

New chairs are more comfortable. Entrances need better management in events with huge crowds. Overall, its fine.

When you start your college, this is the place where the long boring registration takes place and at the end of your course, this is where you get the degree!

Very large, beautifully designed

The present convocation hall of IIT Roorkee, as I heard was used to be the hangar for aircraft during world war ii. (I am not quite sure about the fact). This college would hit 175 years since its inception in 1857. Now the hall is renovated and used for screening latest movies, organizing various dance events, and obviously convocation of IITR graduates.

Its place for the admission process of the new students. Place for convocation program and also new released movies are screened here.

Convo is renewed now. The seats are better. And looks more spacious. However the AC doesnt work sometimes. ❤️ To iitr

One of the biggest auditorium Ive seen. Best quality sounds with great air conditioning. Earlier used as hanger for fighter planes in war. Admission process and convocation with small activities are done here. Weekly movie premiers are done here but gets crowded since not having capacity of more than 2000 people

This the convocation hall of swami vivekanand subharti university meerut. It is good for the arrangement of international conference at a big level.

Used by IIT Roorkee, during convocation and the hall is massive big. Most best thing i like was that huge fan. As the hall was built long time before.

Everything is ok but the sound quality is below average....

This place has been renovated just a few months back and is one of the biggest Halls of the campus. As the name suggests its purpose is for the felicitations of students who gradutaed, but that happens once an year, while across the year its the place where movies are screened by the campus Cinema Club.

It was basically an airplane hanger....bot now IIT Roorkees Convocation Hall. Its seating capacity is around 1000 people. Not very good Acoustics though.

Everything is good here but chairs are not though, got a good history, previously it was named Hanger hall . Always Plays a key role during every event in IITr.

PLACE TO BE GATHERED FOR CONVOCATION OF IIT ROORKEE GRADUATES. WELL VENTILATED WITH HEATING AND COOLING SYSTEM. LOVED THIS PALCE WHILE STUDYING AT IIT ROORKEE. I MISS FILM SHOWN IN THIS HALL.

Nice Air conditioning hall.

An Auditorium in IIT roorkee where all the events which gathers large crowd are held here..It can accommodate a crowd of more than 2000..It has a large stage.It is also used as theatres by cinema section to show movies..It has ducts along the perimeter and two specially designed fans in the centre for cooling..The chairs are of iron(that is why i have rated it 4) which are not so comfortable..People get there degrees once they pass-out from college...
