The institute offers various under graduate and post graduate courses in major specialties of medicine and surgery. It is spread across a 350-acre (140 ha) campus. It is incorporated in Pandit Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Sciences.

One of the worst government medical institute I encountered in my life. First of all they dont have mentioned their contact numbers even of reception on their website. They dont update their website even on yearly basis. Doctors with their OPD timings mentioned on their website have got retired (this is something which you come to know about when you reach there). You dont know whom and when to meet for a particular medical condition. If you reach in hospital then doctors will not be available. Their rooms remained locked. And you risk wasting your whole day if reach from a distant place. However you can find only medical students to consult for your medical condition which have not developed completely a sense of responsibility, empathetic and caring attitude towards patient. Their medical equipment are old. Many of medical machines arent working. Those which are working give false readings. Just a stupid hospital with idiotic administration.

I lost my Grandfather on 1 December, no care of corona patient, they say they have everything plasma, redmesivir but they dont even dared to test them on my grandfather saying we cant give it to him as it may degrade maybe, they just gave us Dilasa but our loved one was suffering and locked in a room, they were saying they are doing everything but they arent, they didnt even tested again for covid after 14 days, no chest x-ray report, they dont even show us report and progress the patient is making, when we checked department said there is no covid test in record.They gave us summary when he died saying we gave him redmesivir too for improvement but he died of heart attack due to low bp and wrote many other stuff that we asked them to give it to our grandfather which they didnt gave to him but they wrote them in death summary of 1 page.Nothing not even used ventilator for patient who isnt improving after 14 daysThey just give fake Dilasa, they dont expell out truthMay his Soul Rest in Peace, our loved Grandfather (Charan Singh)

Wrost Experience in Rohtak PGI.There no any Experienced Doctors only Students. No experience No facility My Father Reffer from khanpur to PGI but 2,3 hours later they response he need immediately Treatment. But they not Care.its my Biggest Mistake which Keep my father away from us forever.there no machines working for testing

Really disgusting had worst experienceJR dont even know what is GCS, lost my brother today due to negligence of JR and SR, my brother was admitted around 4 o clock and was having head injury, but instead of NCCT head they were busy doing x ray PBH and all other non sense things. They were waiting for the patient to detriorate spo2 was around 70-72 and patient was intubated when his spo2 dropped to 38%. Really hats off to these brave hearts who were busy in chitchating. I travelled approx 180km and he was on t piece support. Heart rate was 170+, with a tachypnea of 40+. Really they can manage a patient with head injury on t piece.Pupils were dilated and almost fixed. In file they mentioned a GCS E3v2M5 and actually patient real gcs was E1V1M2. He was decerebrating. 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭🥺🥺🥺

The institute was started in 1960 as Medical College, Rohtak. For the first three years, students were admitted to the Government Medical College, Patiala, which acted as a host institution. In 1963, the students were shifted to Rohtak. In subsequent years, multidisciplinary expansion measures have transformed the institute into a full-fledged center of medical education and research in all major disciplines of medicine.After the establishment of Pandit Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Sciences in 2008, it was incorporated into the university.
