চাঁপাইনবাবগঞ্জে সীমান্তবর্তী উপজেলা গোমস্তাপুরের ষাঁড়বুরুজ প্রাচীন ঐতিহ্যবাহী স্থান হিসেবে পরিচিত। এ উপজেলার প্রাণকেন্দ্র রহনপুর ও এর আশেপাশে রয়েছে অগনিত প্রাচীন ঐতিহ্যের নির্দশন। রাজা লক্ষন সেনের আমলে রহনপুর বানিজ্য নগরী হিসেবে জনপ্রিয়তা লাভ করে। বানিজ্যক কারনে রহনপুরই তিনি গড়ে তোলেন সূরম্য অট্রালিকা, যা বর্তমানে বিলপ্তির পথে। ষাঁড়বুরুজ নামে খ্যাত এই অট্রালিকাটির প্রকৃত নাম শাহবুরুজ। শাহ শব্দের অর্থ বাদশা আর বুরুজ শব্দের অর্থ অট্রালিকা বা বালাখানা। যা পরবর্তীতে লোকমুখে ষাঁড়বুরুজ নামে খ্যাতি লাভ করে। এই অট্রালিকার অদূরে গুমুজ নামে একটি ভবন আছে। লোকমুখে জানা যায় এটি রাজা লক্ষন সেনের বৈঠক খানা ছিল এবং এখানে তিনি তার দরবার চালাতেন। বর্তমানে রাজা লক্ষন সেনের অট্রালিকাটির ভেঙ্গে পড়ে একটি পাহাড়ে রুপ ধারন করে।

The bull tower of Gomstapur, a frontier upazila in Chapainawabganj, is known as an ancient traditional place. Rahanpur, the heart of the upazila, and its environs have innumerable ancient traditions. During the reign of Raja Lakshman Sen, Rahanpur gained popularity as a trading city. For commercial reasons, he built the picturesque Atralika in Rahanpur, which is now on the verge of extinction. The real name of this atralika known as bull tower is Shahburuj. The word shah means king and the word buruj means atralika or balakhana. Which later became popularly known as the bull tower.
