Actually it is a playing ground which have been used by BRO and other government and non- government entities as a temporary operational helipad. The first helicopter landed on February 2009. Since then it has been a preferred spot for helicopters to land. There are three helipads which is largely being used by the border roads organization and government agencies. It has also been a landing spot for choppers acting as air ambulance and carrying patients referred to all india institute of medical sciences rishikesh. The aviation companies or people who want to use this place for landing would require a permission from competent authoriies as they will also arrange for a fore engine to ensure safety.
