I highly recommend Royal Cafe! They have the freshest juices and the most delicious wraps. Not only is the food great but the ambiance is amazing. The cafe has such a beautiful view and is surrounded by a river and mountains. Perfect place to dine in:)

Went there after seeing the reviews but it was not a happy experience... First of all no one comes to u for taking order you have to keep calling them and wat you get Is the unhygienic and dirty utensil so disappointed.... And we also ordered a simple fresh lime soda mix... But trust me guys it was sumthing u cant take a sip... Bad bad very bad experience....

This is a beautiful cafe overlooking the Ganges. It has some delicious Israeli food—definitely get the hummus— and some highly recommend decadent deserts. I went on a Friday afternoon, a few days after New Years, and it was not busy. A good mix of locals and tourists. Overall, a calm nourishing spot for body and mind.

Had very bad experience there. Only good thing is that its close to the ganga but then for this you have many other options too. We get our order in 1 hour almost and we keep on asking when will we get our order and everytime they said we are baking your order. And even after one hour the taste was so bad, not at all worthy to visit there.

Royal Cafe, a cute rooftop Cafe situated on the left bank of Ganga river. Youve to cross Laman Jhula and walk for 100-150 meters to get here.The food served here is cheap as well as yummy.I enjoyed eating out here.Theyve lots of options in the menu, youll get confused with what to order!I visited it on the last day of my trip so i only tried Indian food of Royal Cafe.Ill definitely go there again and try Pizza and Pasta! As It looked amazing! 😛

Really sweet bar where I could eat delicious dishes with a marvelous view on the Ganga river. The breakfast is the meal I fancied the most here. There is also a small library where I found a couple of really nice books (I even asked them if I could borrow one of these).

Im giving this place 4 stars because the ginger lemon honey was okay, however their yogurt was fantastic and their curry was okay - it felt a little thin and was missing a hearty portion of paneer. I unfortunately came on a slow night - so there wasnt any live music - just one incredibly loud family - so I didnt experience the ambience. Service was just okay for me being as slow as it was (Im comparing this service to a lot of places Ive been on this street during slow times).

For the over 2 months I was in Rishikesh, I probably came here 10-15 times. Everyone who works here is very nice and friendly. I got to know everyone by name. My order would be taken right away. Service is fast (relatively speaking, for India). If there are any issues with your order, they will help to resolve it. Amazing view of the Ganga from the balcony. This is a place you can sit for hours to read and/or work on your laptop. The tofu grilled wrap is my favorite. Thali is good too, although some reviewers weren’t impressed, I thought it was pretty decent. As far as Rishikesh cafes go, I think Royal Cafe has pretty good food. You have to watch out for the monkeys if you sit on the balcony. A monkey grabbed one of my tofu wraps. But they are so nice here that I didn’t even have to ask and another plate was brought for me. The ONLY issue I have is with people smoking. And not just cigarettes. I would sit with my nose covered a lot of times because I wanted to enjoy the view and restaurant atmosphere, but couldn’t get away from the smoke. It drifts everywhere, even inside. They had the same musician playing on some of the nights when I was there. He did help liven the crowd and even got them dancing, but on one night the crowd wasn’t so much into it and he just stopped playing mid-way. So, I think the music nights could be a hit or miss. Either way, I would definitely recommend checking this place out. The owner is a really nice guy and he does what he can to help you feel at home in his cafe.

Amazing place, great vibes, the food is very tasty, and they have the best dessert in town: the elisheva. Two pancakes filled with banana, white and milk chocolate, and a vanilla ice screem scoop on top. I wish i could have it now!!

The food here is so fresh that youd want to eat everything. Try their mezze platter, tofu scrambled​ and pizza. I can have all the three meals of my day here without any doubt. They also have live music at dinner time so do check that out too.

Perfect Family place. Falafels are really nice and so are the Chinese food options. Much better and affordable than the other nearby highly overrated cafes which are filled with smokers doing illegal stuff.

Ambience is great. We ordered milk coffee which tasted like hot milk. The banana fritters with Nutella was delicious though and we ordered a second set as one was not enough. Overall it’s a nice place to hang out and have desserts. It was also the only place I encountered here that allows indoor smoking which isn’t very pleasant.

Awful Chai...Worst I ever had in India. Didnt even care of us. Took 15min to take the order (it wasnt in rush time, they were doing nothing) Waited for more than 45min for a simple dish that would not take more than 10min to prepare. Plus the service is completely illogical. People who arrive after you are served before you. Doesnt make sens. But sitting area is nice.

I love the food and atmosphere. Its a nice place to chill out, the view is beautiful and the avocado tomato toast my biggest pleasure.

Tourist quality. I payed 230 for a Thali. According to the price, it should be good, but the food was below average. Also, it took a long time to get the food as well as to order it. I would try to avoid these rip offs and just go somewhere where the locals eat. Much better food for a much cheaper price.

Service was quite bad. Even though the servers were ver nice and attentive, our food took over to be served, and even then, our order never arrived complete. I ordered a pizza, and was told they couldnt serve it because of power shortages that didnt allow them to use the oven. So I changed my order to pasta. But surprise! Some minutes after I get my pasta, the table beside mine gets pizza! In spite of everything, the food was high quality and portions were good value. Just make sure youre not in a hurry when you go.
