This was my first yoga training (200h)ever and Im very happy to have done it with the amazing people of Pratham. The classes are small and its outside of the city, so you have no distractions. They go very deep in mental and physical knowledge, they are honest and open about everything and build up an amazing relationship to the students and all the teachers are highly qualified. It was definitely a challenging month but now, some months later, I can feel nothing but gratitude how much Ive improved not only my Asanas but also my knowledge and view of Yoga as a whole. A big thank you and Namaste to Vijay, Caro and all the others!
Pratham Yoga was an amazing 200hr Yoga teacher training experience. It is located in a quiet neighborhood, and the Mother Ganges is in the backyard. We would enjoy a serene walk every morning along the river, occasionally stopping for a blessing and to meditate. The yoga teachers were authentic and knowledgeable, and I learned a great deal from them. The class size was small which allowed us all to be a close family. We enjoyed delicious sattvic meals from a personal chef and friend. Overall, I was extremely happy and grateful to have found such a wonderful school located in a quiet and beautiful environment. I would highly recommend to anyone searching for an authentic yogic experience from amazing people!
The most amazing life changing experience. Thank you so much! Sending so much love to my Pratham family!!!
If you are looking for a course in a peaceful setting surrounded by nature than this school is just right for you! Small groups and a holistic approach..
I couldnt be happier with my 200h yoga teacher training. It was an intensive month of unforgettable experiences and emotions. Pratham Yoga has the best teachers in the world (no exaggeration). Passion, knowledge, patience, friendship, everything is transmitted from the heart and soul. Pratham and his teachers is not just another school, it is a space where we can learn and live the true yoga and a space where we can awaken to a new Self. The location is perfect, away from the noise and confusion, involved in nature and always with Mother Ganges by the side.Everything that at first seemed confusing and inconsistent now makes sense - it is part of this rediscovery of my Self. Many thanks to Vijay (the best teacher in the world) for his Light and wisdom and the passion with which he teaches us.Thank you Carol, Kuldeep and Simon, will be forever in my heart. My heart already asks to return.See you soon my dears friends.
Very welcoming environment at Pratham Yoga. Teachers are proactive in helping you take this experience. I shall highly recommend it to anyone who wants to look forward to Teaching Yoga in near future.
I would highly recommend Pratham yoga to anyone who is considering a YTT course. The teaching is very professional. The setting is beautiful and peaceful, allowing for a much deeper experience than being in a busy town, where a lot of the bigger schools are. I got so much more from my time there than I expected....learning philosophy, ayurveda, anatomy & physiology. And having the most delicious sattvic food! My time at Pratham has enhanced my life in so many ways and...I began teaching soon after returning 😊🙏🏽
Theres so much Ive learned during the 4 weeks Ive spent here for my 200 hour YTT. The teachers are so knowledgable and have an amazing drive to push you to your fullest potential, the food is delicious and you instantly feel the amazing effects on your body and mental state. Big compliments to the chef!I love the fact how small this yoga school is, thats one of the reasons why I chose this one above the 700 other schools in Rishikesh. A deeper connection is being developed with the teachers and peers, which makes ones experience at this school so much more meaningful. Also, the location is heaps better compared to the yoga school in Tapovan, in the busy city centre. It is so serene and calm, there arent any distractions in the area which made my commitment to studying bigger, connection with the people deeper and appreciation of the place higher. On our off days, we would have little trips organised by the school or went to Tapovan (Rishikesh) ourselves, which made our visits to the city so much more exciting.Another reason why I preferred this school is the ayurvedic course. It gave me a better understanding of this still less known medical and nutritional approach of a healthy lifestyle, plus a better understanding of the Indian culture.Im beyond grateful Ive chosen this place, everyone who ended up here is meant to be here!
My month-long stint at Prathma yoga India, nestled at the banks of river Ganges, was the most unique and life changing experience, which I will cherish all my life. Faculty, food and facilities were such I couldnt have asked for better. Mr Simon and Mr Kuldeep are truly phenomenal teachers. My special thanks to Vijay Ji and Carolina Ji for their excellent management and carrying us through a truly yogic experience. 😊
I had the most amazing time at Pratham Yoga. I went to strengthen my own practice after doing yoga only a short time and to learn a little more about it. I came away with so much more! I learned about asanas, nutrition, Ayurveda, anatomy and my favourite, philosophy! Vijay and all the teachers went above and beyond for us all and couldnt share enough of their knowledge. My understanding and love for yoga has grown more than I ever expected thanks to the Pratham gang! And my love for India too!
Truly a most transformative experience in my life.Pratham Yoga nestled against the Mother Ganga, outside the hustle and bustle of Rishikesh is the place you want to be in to recieve your 200hr YTT.Beautiful spaceBeautiful foodAnd the most qualified and grounded teachers. You leave Pratham with new doors opened to your lifes purpose. And you gain an incredible spiritual family in the process.Forever gratefulNamaste
I don’t have enough words to explain or I don’t even know if I am able to explain in words what was like to be at Pratham yoga. You will feel part of a family and they will always make sure you are feeling comfortable and at home. Everything is planned with so much care and mainly love that it is impossible not to enjoy it.All staff are great, philosophy classes are awesome and so inspiring. Ayurveda classes were also super interesting and every teacher do their job with so much love.Vijay has such an amazing energy and brings so much passion to his asana and mantra classes.Koldeep will challenge your body with vinyasa classes and always maintain the discipline and support you in every step.Carol is so nice and kind and always has a smile in her face, making every ayurveda class more and more interesting. She also gave as some moon cycle classes and basic knowledge in pre natal yoga.Anatomy classes were really interesting and teacher shared some of her experiences in yoga and life in general as well.To add more: food was amazing always.Everything is great. You will fall in love with Pratham yoga the same as I did. It is impossible not to.My heart is full of love and full of energy to step to another part of my life after this experience. I’ll take with me so much of what I’ve learnt here.Pratham yoga you will always be in my heart. Thank you ❤️
I had an amazing time at Pratham yoga! The location on the banks of river Ganga, away from the crowds of Rishikesh is just magical. The teachers, staff and fellow-students feel like one big family, learning and growing together, and making the whole experience unforgettable. Next to the yoga philosophy, anatomy and asana and alignment classes youll find in most 200 hours programs, we also had an introduction in Ayurveda and yogic nutrition! Each and every one of the teachers has so much knowledge to share. I really recommend completing your in-person yoga teacher training in the Pratham family, itll be a truly transformative experience, I can promise!
My journey at Pratham Yoga was just an amazing experience. The lovely teachers put their whole passion into their lessons and they were always trying to help us to getting deeper in our practice. I‘ve learned so much in my 200 hrs YTT and therefore I want to say thank to the knowledgeable teachers for supporting me on my way to become a Yoga teacher. The sattvic food was very (!) delicious, which was cooked by a friend of Pratham. The group size was small so we became a family and had a fantastic time together. Pratham Yoga is located in a quiet neighborhood at the banks of mother Ganga. I really enjoyed our daily morningwalk with the sunset behind the mountains. I highly recommend Pratham Yoga. Thank you for everything ♥️✨
Oh, I have just finished my 200 hours YTT at Pratham Yoga school and I couldn’t be happier. All the teachers are so well prepared, dedicated and inspiring...I’ve learned so many stuff and I felt like at home for the whole time. The school is far from the crowded Rishikesh so you can really focus on your studies and your practice and really enjoy the holy/quiet presence of MOther Ganga that is a few steps far from the school. I really recommend this place and this experience to everyone! Thanks Pratham Yoga for this month full of positive vibes. I will be for ever grateful.
Go for it.How to start this review, there is so many things that could be said.Let’s start by the location. It is 30 min away from Laxman Juhla and Ram Jhula (main areas with shops, restaurants, etc.), which are nice to hang out and full of the noise of the crowd. On the opposite, Pratham yoga is in a quiet and peaceful village, just two minutes from a beautiful white sandy beach where you can calmly rest/meditate with the sound of mother Ganga that flows ahead of you. Plus, there is, from my experience, very few people going there - which I did not understand because it was for me the nicest place to hang out/ chill/ meditate in the afternoon break of the classes !Believe me, I was going there every day and always had the beach just for me in the afternoon (or few locals were passing by but wasn’t disturbing at all- or you could come across a ceremony of cremation ). In the very early morning also (doing early walk) before the sunrise you can feel the energy of this precious place. The village is quiet and beautiful, the locals are sympathetic. You will live a village life. So, the location itself has something you won’t found in the schools of the main areas. Every time we were hanging out outside on the weekends (because it is still important to go out and feel the vibe of an energetic city!) we were happy to come back in our spot. Now, the classes. Long story short, all the classes make you grow in a way that you didn’t necessary expect. You might see yourself struggling some time, realizing for example that yoga from a Indian point of view is quite more “complete” that one can experience in a western country. Also possible to realize that some asanas you were practicing home were not as perfect as you thought ! But it is a good thing, since you will start to see asanas with a different angle/ lents. You will see how Indian philosophie is connected to your practise, as well as pranayama, mantras, etc. If you are one who usually see asana as yoga, you will see how it is actually a slice of a whole pie, a slice of Yoga. But you are probably already kinda know it/ or on the path to since you are looking for this type of experience. It is for sure a “humbleness” experience that can just be good for the ego !Teachers. I loved all teachers also.I loved the commitment we see in them, the willpower, the fact that they live the life that they teaches us. They are truly inspiring. There is also two assistants that were working out in the background and they were very helpful.Personal and social aspects.I loved the discipline that the practice required; the challenge of improvement, and how you have to “put yourself out there” making you sometime feel “naked”, fragile, vulnerable. I have personally experienced many state of emotions (frustrations, sadness, fear, happiness, proudness). It is also a social challenge, for who, like me, is usually more on the solitary side ! Be prepared to be constantly surrounded and have to interact all the time (but there is also certainly good side of it, since everyone was helping each others, everybody was positive in my batch so this is a major aspect). Being Asperger, it was a challenge that I really wanted to experience, and happy that I went through. But in all cases of which type of person you are, you will most likely learn more about yourself and others (as human natures- like anthropologist perspective).Food. Was delicious. You will eat sattvic, which globally means barely spiced, sweet or salty - but still seasoned, so it is still flavourful! Even is there were repetition of dishes (sattvic use only local and fresh so it goes with what’s available on the market), it was always very good, we were always go second round!!I thank Pratham yoga team from my heart and I am grateful for all my learning and all the awareness I worked on in this journey.🙏💕
Our experience at Pratham Yoga went beyond our best expectations. The teachers are so experienced, knowledgeable and dedicated, and they ensured that our time here was as comfortable and rewarding as could be. The center is around 7 km outside Rishikesh center, in a very quiet, peaceful neighborhood next to the holy Ganga river which makes the experience even more special. The environment, including the small class size, makes this a place where you can truly focus on your practice and your spiritual journey. We are so thankful that we chose Pratham as our first TTC, and we would recommend to anyone looking for such a course in an authentic Indian environment. Thank you so much to Vijay, Carol and the entire Pratham team for this magical month! We hope the universe crosses our paths again :-)Namaste,Sam and Cristina
It has been 6 months that I have finished ytt 200 at Pratham yoga school in Rishikesh. I am still deeply connected with this experience and it has been a daily source of inspiration and motivation to explore live with a different approach. It was a wonderful peaceful month full of tasty/healthy food, amazing teachers, self care and exciting inner journey. We spent it in a wonderful house next to Ganga river banks, away from loud rishikesh streets in a small group of students- for me it was a perfect environment to immerse into the flow.It was an honest and authentic experience, connection of hearts thank to all who accompanied me on this journey;) namaste!
Some months ago I did my 200hr YTTC at this special place. Caro and Vijay and many more people are a great team and always there when you need sth. There are some improvements needed, as everywhere, but they listen and try to change - especially Caro is always there for you, also personal topics.the schedule is tight but well organized.I loved the food there, even as vegans you get good alimentation there! The best part probably is, that they are pff the grid. No traffic, no crowds.—- nature! You can even see the ganges out of some rooms.I enjoyed my stay there!
The best place run by nice people!
What a month, I had actually only booked 100h and because everything worked so well, extended it to 200h ..Teacher, location, food, total package, everything is great ...Could say a lot about that but keep me short this time ..If YTT in Rishikesh, then Pratham Yoga.Namaste 🙏🏼Marc
