The new subji mandi in rishikesh is very good The fruits and the vegitable are also very fresh and they are also very cheap in comparison to other mandis of rishikesh.The mandi starts at 3:00 am and the crowd is very much in this area. Till 10:00 am most of the fresh and good items are sold,so you must reach here by 6 if you want good fruits and vegetables.

Vegetables market is the biggest one in rishikesh. Prices are at least half of retail prices in city. Also fresh vegetables are available from villages. Almost all fruits and veggie are available here. Parking also possible outside market. Demerit is they dont let you buy 1/2 KGS mostly. You have to buy more. Also, if you are regular buyer, its easy. They recognize locals. Nice place to have a walk and ask prices and buy for 3/4 days of purchase. Feeling fresh while buying and negotiating.. Mostly organise produce from local farms are available. You can buy for 2/3 families too if you love in apartments etc.. Not far from main city. Also, local transport is available in case of bulk purchase. But best is to go with own transportation.

Fruits, vegetables, grains, you can buy easily and you have to pay the aahrat tax along with your purchase which is mandatory.
