Good place for learning yoga. I was happy with all the facilities.
Best experience of my life. Rishikesh is a beautiful setting and in my opinion this is the best school in Rishikesh, I chose this school because of its smaller class size. This to me showed that the teachers truly valued our learning experience allowing for more hands on teaching. This was confirmed during my training, the teachers on this course teach and Head departments at the local university where they teach masters degrees in yoga. They were all incredibly kind, understanding and full of knowledge, I will certainly be returning for the additional 300h training and look forward to doing so. The meals were delicious, healthy and varied. There are great health food shops nearby where you can get pretty much everything. Amazing views from the very comfortable accommodation. Sunday excursions to temples and waterfalls added some much deserved exploration. Prepare to be worked hard, but you will be so grateful for it, my body and mind have never felt better. Thank you my friends, hope to see you soon
I completed the 200 Hr. YTTC. Amazing life changing experience! It their first live online and offline program. RYD did their best to accommodate our schedules and needs. They are compassionate and thoughtful throughout. I told Ira about my sleep issues and she catered the program towards helping me sleep better. Well organized program. You wont regret signing up!! I plan on going to Rishikesh next year some time to learn more yoga from them!
For a solid introduction to classical yoga traditions, philosophy and science, this school is the place to go. I learned so much from my teachers, from my classmates and from myself -- despite taking the TTC 200 hours online. Hope to continue my yoga education in RYD sometime in the future.
I did my 200 hours TTC from Rishikesh yogdham. It was an enriching experience.all the teachers were so patient and knowledgable about their subjects. The teaching methodology classes were so enlighting. It totally changed my perspective about a lot of poses.if i see my personal practice videos before the training and after the 200 hrs i can totally see the diffrence . the best part is Arvind answers to all my querries even months after the training.I really want to thanks Iraa and Arvind for the post training support they provide.Thankyou Rishikesh Yogdham.Tons of lovehope to see you soon in person.
I did 200 hours YTTC here and had a very nice experience. The teachers are knowledgeable and know as well how to training students to be a good yoga teacher. The food is very delicious and healthy. Every teachers and staffs are caring us a lot.❤❤❤ The life in the school is very simple but meaningful. highly recommend come to do yoga teacher training course. :)
Completed my 200 hour Ttc in January and I had the most amazing experience. The course was structured well, accommodation was great and the food was amazing. Im vegan and they catered for me for the whole 4 weeks. Thank you to all the staff and teachers I honestly cant wait to see you all again soon :)
I liked being in India. I liked having a schedule for myself, though the school did not follow any real class schedule; it changed a lot, and often without notice. I liked Rishikesh, a lot. I liked the people in the city. Unfortunately, the people at this school are not from Rishikesh—they are “foreign” indians from different states. The yoga market is quite saturated in Rishikesh, and Indians from other places are moving there in literal flocks to open businesses like this one to turn a profit. Many people from my retreat were afraid to leave the gates of the school—so they never met locals, and never realized that Yog Dham is really just one of these many businesses, and is in no way authentic to the “yoga capital” of the world (Rishikesh). I can’t recommend Rishikesh as a city enough. If you want to study yoga, GO TO RISHIKESH. But make sure the school is run by locals. This school is not. Had I known before, I would have made a different choice. Luckily, after meeting people and doing research, I was able to take my final YTT testing, and received certificate from a much more highly esteemed establishment. The owner, Ira, came across as very disrespectful toward foreigners. When I mentioned that Sunday is a religious day of rest for me, she asked “why, what religion?”—when I said “Christian”, she burst out laughing and told me that outings were compulsory. She gossiped the whole trip. Chose favorites, and made students that she decided to not favor very uncomfortable. I caught her speaking loudly about me multiple times—very unprofessional for the owner of a school. 2 students came and told me that she tried to get them to gossip about me and my childhood. There was a girl with a heart condition in the class that was told repeatedly she could sit out, but ended up not getting a cert. I felt it was discriminatory. I met with multiple students from the course before ours (who chose not to leave reviews-I wish they had!) and they echoed the same issues.Furthermore: I hate to say it, as the chef was very sweet, but I only ate in yog dham (as did all the other students—you’re fined extra money if you don’t show up to eat the meal you already paid for) and I had HORRIFIC FOOD POISONING twice, as did everyone else. Zero exaggeration: groups of students would be brutally ill at the same time after eating the food provided. Every last one of us contracted food poisoning from the meals at the school. Lastly: the instruction. Teachers contradicted each other constantly. English was not good enough to ever get clarification.
I came as a student and left as a friend! I love everything about the yog dham! The teachers, the staff and the meals were are the best!100% recommendation
I undertook the 200hrs yoga teacher training and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. If you are after a casual yoga retreat then this is probably not the place for you, but if you would like an authentic yoga immersion then I highly recommend Yog Dham. Dedicated and passionate teachers share there knowledge with kindness and grace. A holistic approach is given which incorporates meditation, philosophy, diet, nutrition, the ayurvedic principles and the bodies anatomy and its practical function. All this in a beautiful environment, comfortable quarters and delicious, nutritious meals. Honestly I didnt feel like leaving.
I did my yoga teacher trainer course from Rishikesh Yogdham. I must say the experience was really really good. Got to know all the practical and Philosophical aspects of yoga teacher training
The most beautiful and unforgettable experience. Amazing food, setting, accommodation, teachers and course. Good not recommend more highly!
I had a fabulous experience doing my 200 hours at Rishikesh Yog Dham. Everything was perfect, the teachers were passionate, knowledgeable and made me progress so much in such a small amount of time. They look after us so well, making the yoga studio available, making sure nothing was missing for our comfort. Our group was small (max 12) which made the whole experience really enjoyable and personal. The teachers had time to correct us and made us teach spontaneously. The food was absolutely delicious, always different and tasty. I really enjoyed studying on the balcony in the sun with the view on the mountains and the rice field. Everything exceeded my expectations. Do it and youll see, youll be the next one to give Rishikesh Yog Dham and the amazing team a 5 stars review.
Rishikesh Yog Dham is the place to be. From the teachers, to the food, to the energy here is just amazing. I feel lucky to have been able to find such an amazing school to give me the experience and knowledge I have gained to dive deeper into my passion for yoga. Everyone at yog dham are beyond helpful and genuine in spreading the passion of yoga. I dont think its possible to choose a favourite teacher or favourite subject from the TTC as all of them have thought me so much more than just what the course has to offer. My 200 Hour experience has been such a meaningful one that has exceeded any expectations I had prior to the course. Im looking forward to returning for my 300 Hour. Thank you Rishikesh Yog Dham
Hey everyone,I just completed my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training at Yog Dham. The course prepares you fully to go out and teach in a yoga studio in any country this is due to the practical aspect of the course (we actually get to teach), which when I was looking at other programs in India, they did not have anything like this.Rishikesh Yog Dham teaches you how to teach. The class size is comfortable, in that the teachers give every student the attention and care they need. They are easily approachable and have a wealth of information.I am very fortunate to have come here and cannot wait to continue my path as a yoga teacher.Namaste!
The food served was extremely good. They did a very good job in serving Sattvic meals every day to ensure the taste was good for everyone. For accommodation, everything was properly set up. Due to road conditions in the neighbourhood, dust was everywhere but the compound was all-time clean and tidy with the help of the cleaner. The location is good, away from the main road and about 15 min walk to Laxman Jhula. Convenience stores, bakery shop and restaurants are just within walking distance which I miss them so much. For the teaching, I love the classes especially alignment correction and yoga philosophy class.Teachers are friendly and caring. Its the place where I grow and leap on the yoga journey.I will come back for 300hr for sure:)
It is not easy to decide in which yoga school in Rishikesh you should follow your teacher training. If you choose Rishikesh Yog Dham, you get the best teachers: they are all very knowledgeable, specialized and skilled. They know what they are talking about. You can really ask them anything. Just like the management. If you need something or there is a problem: every effort is made to help you. All the people who are working or helping there are very friendly and sweet. The rooms in Rishikesh Yog Dham are clean and cosy and all other spaces are well maintained. After the training I came back again for extra lessons and also after that I got all the answers to my yoga questions remotely. I feel all set to be a teacher!
Wish I had gone to an authentic YTT. Absolutely flavorless
200 hour yoga teacher training in Rishikesh was the best experienci of my life. I really appreciate the hospitality and the great heart of Fatima and Arvin, the food incredibly delicious. About the course I found it very complete and I really feel that I came out with very good bases to start this long journey as a yoga instructor. I really wanna come back and do the 300 hrs with this amazing persons!.
Dont book. When I inquired about the Yog Dham program and dates, they said everything was fine, but once I booked and paid the deposit, they suddenly changed the dates. Weirdly enough they offered me to join in a week late for $100 less. Seriously? Im not coming all the way to India to only have 3/4 of the experience and pay pretty much the full price. Since I paid the deposit directly to them , Fatima promised to give the deposit back. Its now more than 7 months later and I am still waiting. So, be warned to either only book with them on very short notice, when they hopefully wont change their dates anymore, or just avoid them altogether.
I felt like at home. Team of Yog Dham created the atmosphere of cosiness, care. Good rooms, everything clean. And the food is something special. Everybody wanted to take the Chef home :). The intensive learning process was supported by amazing environment. Thank you to all Yog Dham team.
A fabulous place to take the 200 hour YTTC! I had an absolutely amazing experience there. Its in a great location, the facilities are clean, cute and obviously loved and cared for. The food is fantastic. There were only five of us in the group and we received so much personal attention and feedback from all of the very passionate and knowledgeable teachers. I really feel like I have learned so much, much more than I had expected, and am ready to teach. The course was well organized and although we were busy with classes and self practice, it was still easy-going and enjoyable. I honestly loved it so much that I did not want to leave!I highly recommend Rishikesh Yog Dham and cannot wait to go back and see all of the beautiful teachers and staff that created such an authentic, wonderful experience. Thank you. xoxo
I highly recommend this course if you are serious about learning yoga. All the teachers have a deep knowledge of their subject and i have learned so much. It has been an amazing experience and i am so thankful that i choose Yog Dham in Rishikesh. I miss you all!
At TTC, it gave me a chance to look back on not only yoga but myself. The warm and humorous staff always cheered me up and responded to various questions pleasantly. I had language problems. However, the teacher and the owner here practiced together late late and gave advice on my class. I think that there is no other friendly school like this.
I did my 200 hours here and 100% recommend all around one of the best experiences of my life and will be coming back for 300 hours once im ready with a few friends more than likely 😊🕉
For me, Rishikesh Yog Dham was the best place to go for a yttc! Everything about it was amazing! The teachers were super great! And I think That Arvind( THE yoga teacher) is exactly who you need if you want to bring your yoga practice to a next level! My month at Yog Dham was one of the best month of my life!I loved it so much... That I am going back next month to do the 300h.
This is a fantastic place to do your 200 TTC if you want small intimate classes, amazing teachers, wonderful surroundings, delicious healthy food, and a focus on Hatha yoga.
TTC at Rishikesh Yog Dham is once in a life time experience ! Brilliant teachers and very caring staff. Immense learning and a home away from home ! Thats the place to be if you ever plan to do a 200/300 hour course. Fantastic experience !
I just finished my TTC a few weeks ago... and was a beautiful experience. Both classes, morning and afternoon were intense and the most important is that they make focus in corrections, one of the things that I love from this course. Accommodation was so confortable and the food just amazing!! Thanks to everyone to your time, knowledge and patient...
Hi I am Sunil S Negi from RishikeshRishikesh Yog Dham is a place must be recommended to friends, I did 200 hours TTC here. The teachers were really professional and responsible. They really deliver the knowledge to students. I gained a lot from the course. Rhisikesh yog dham a wonderful place to learn the actual meaning of yoga with authenticity... i highly recomend this school....teachers so much understanding and hard working specially Arvind sir and heart of rhisikesh yog dham Ira maam.... they are beautiful souls wo working for yoga selflessly.. they take care of their each and every student. 200 hour yoga teacher training in Rishikesh was the best experienci of my life. I really cant put into words just how lovely my experience was at RYD. The school is situated the perfect distance from everything you need (all in walking distance) the accomodation is great, the views are incredible of surrounding mountains & a beautiful paddy field. I learnt so much in just a month from all the teachers who were very, knowledgeable in their subjects. I loved every single class. The food was delicious & they cater to everybodys needs.Thankyou very much Rishikesh Yog Dham
I had an amazing time at Rishikesh Yog Dham. The 200h teacher training course has tought me so much about myself and about yoga (which is basically the same thing because we learnt that yoga is everything!). I loved how the lessons that we had were accesible yet challenging for most of us in the group. We were really pushed to give it our best! I can now even do a headstand, something I couldnt imagine at the beginning of the course. The food was tasty and simple, just as a yogi diet should be, I think. When you come in the colder months I would definately recommend to bring enough warm clothes since there is no heating. The surroundings are beautiful and for me Rishikesh was a good place for my first visit to India. Because many foreigners settled here there are some Western influences, but luckily there is enough room still to experience the colorfullness of the authentic India!
I loved doing my 200hr Yoga Teacher Training Course at Rishikesh Yog Dham. The teaching was high quality, my room was very cute (oh the sunny balcony!) and the food was ample and tasty. Being a first-timer to India, it was a great way to experience a different culture, in a safely held space, with many new friends (staff and participants) for support. The additional activities (mountain temple, river ceremony, river rafting, cookery class) were highlights and included in course costs.I did feel challenged throughout the month - it’s an intense course (as it should be!), I’m over 40, and the setting was sensorial, colourful India! IMHO it was excellent value however - tuition, board, cultural experience and a qualification at the end (presuming you put in the hard work)! And it gave a substantial amount of time to practice things that are important to me - simple living, patience, gratitude, self-reflection, connection.I believe that there is a strong focus on yoga therapy in the advanced course. Come at me 300hr TTC!
Being at Ryd for my 200 hour ttc was truly one of the best experiences of my life. It is so much more than a just a yoga school or a teacher training course and I am so grateful for all my time there.I met some amazing new friends, learnt precious life long lessons, discovered so much about myself and by the end of the month it became home and we became a family. The teachers are all so knowledgeable, passionate and experienced; always happy to help and spend extra time explaining things; (and the relatively small group size of only 12 ensured we always got the attention we needed). It truly is an honour and such a joy to be in their class. Now I am back home they continue to guide me on my journey and answer all my endless questions. They really ensure that you become the best yoga teacher you can be.As well as the teachers all the staff did their upmost to make us feel welcome, comfortable and happy at all times. And although the timetable was intense it was still a very relaxing environment. The school has the most beautiful location and views yet it is still walking distance to everything and the delicious fresh meals each day are always something we looked forward to.All in all RYD is an environment that is filled with so much love, compassion and acceptance and I couldn’t recommend it more highly.Thank you Yog Dham and I can’t wait to return
Great staff, excellent course, tasty food, clean facilities, legendary location, amazing course all around. I highly recommend it to any aspiring yogis who want the authentic experience. Special thanks to Fatima who does all the admin like a champ!
This is fraud yoga training center in rishikesh. You not join rishikesh yog dham teacher training, because no any facility provide any student.totally Fraud.
Really thankful for this experience. I’ve learnt so many things from 200YTT and hopefully I can use them as a future Yoga therapist. I highly reccomened this place 💖😊.
Incredible experience. The 200hr YTT Yog Dham conducted in a very thorough informative approach by excellent instructors who genuinely care about each of the students progress. No matter if you are the star yogi or the bloke bogi at the start, they will all guide you with equal attention as they deliver their pure hearted intention in witnessing you succeed. Arvind, the lead instructor, has a excellent teaching style to put you in a position to feel well equipped for the rest of your yoga journey, even though a mere 200hr is just the beginning. Ira, the program manager, exemplified her compassionate heart continuously throughout the month, proving that she is someone whom you can trust with whatever issue may come your way, whether that is any type of sickness throughout the stay, issues with housing, any food concerns, or even helping you prepare for your final practicum. Both Ira and Arvind were a dear light to see daily.Along with the rest of the instructors who showed their complete interest in delivering you their knowledge through their experience. I cant be thankful enough... That said, that month in Rishikesh, with Yog Dham and the family we gained, has changed my life for the better. Also, rooms were very pleasant, with a wondrous view, supportingn staff was damn cool, and the food was delicious!...OM Shanti
I always had a keen interest into yoga however with my busy schedule it was really hard to find time to get my hands on to the right place where I could have a balanced time with Yoga and nature. And there my search bought me to Rishikesh Yog Dham. I was happy to learn more about them and the best part was they even welcomed Indian students unlike the other yoga schools in Rishikesh. I enrolled for the 200 hours teacher training program and found myself lucky to have the best of faculty and staff around. This was a perfect balance of what I was looking at. Much appreciate the support and help I received at the school from Arvind and team. They were very accommodative and friendly. Food and environment was excellent. Close to nature what else would one want. I would strongly recommend Rishikesh Yog Dham to people like me looking to get the best yoga school in India with a balance of nature and yoga. Lastly would thank the entire team of Rishikesh yog dham. I look forward to see you guys again.
I highly recommend this school. It is quite overwhelming with all the options in Rishikesh and Im so glad I chose this school. The groups are smaller so you get much more special attention. Some other schools have large groups and you feel like a number and most never bothered to even get back to me. The admin at Yoga Dham is very responsive and attentive to your needs. The teachers are incredible each specializing in something specific. I loved the asana practice and pranayama in the morning. The anatomy teacher was very knowledgeable and the philosophy was beyond my expectations. I chose to study in India for this philosophical aspect and Mahesh was really great. Arvind is also very knowledgeable and you will start to learn how to teach early in the course. The rooms are clean, bright and have nice views and the food is delicious. I stayed an extra month and felt like family!
My partner and I completed our 200 TTC at RYD earlier this year and we were so happy and impressed with this yoga school that we are going back in August to take part in the 300 hours TTC!I have already recommended Yog Dham to my own friends and family.its very difficult to choose the right yoga school in Rishikesh, there are so many!!! and unfortunately not all are as dedicated as Yog Dham in providing an authentic experience for their students,While I was doing my 200H TTC I meet many people who where doing their course at other schools around Rishikesh and many complained about class sizes, and other issues...At Yog Dham you can expect to get top level yoga instruction, small class sizes, beautiful, clean and comfortable rooms, healthy and delicious food, and a feeling of being part of the family! If you are serious about learning yoga for your own practice or if you do want to start on the road to teaching yoga, I would highly recommend Rishikesh Yog Dham!
I just spent a month receiving my 200hr yoga teacher training at Rishikesh Yog Dham. I had such a hard time deciding which yoga school to attend in Rishikesh and I am glad I chose this one. Our class was 15 which was a reasonable size. The small classroom sizes is what attracted me to this place. The owners Arvind and Ira are such great people. Ira is such a strong women and is passionate about adding fun activities such as Diwali and Uttarakhand day that add a cultural experience to the course. Arvind is the lead yoga instructor and is truly the best yoga teacher I have had in my almost 15 years of yoga experience, and I have tried so many different yoga studios in so many cities across the U.S. He taught the Teaching Methodology class and I felt like I learned a lot. He specializes in corrections and I learned I have been doing some poses wrong for the past 15 years, that no one had ever corrected me on before. Our yoga philosophy teacher was also phenomenal. I looked forward to his class everyday. The other teachers were great as well! The facility is very clean and the views are beautiful. I liked that is was away from the main part of town that was so loud and chaotic. The food was fresh and healthy. The staff were so amazing and sweet. I loved them all! There were two dogs on site that I loved as well :) Two students during our class did not earn their yoga teaching certificate for multiple and very valid reasons and I loved that our yoga school did not just hand out the yoga certificate. You had to earn it. I loved Rishikesh and am so glad I got my yoga teacher training in this wonderful city at this place.
It has been just over a year since my visit to Rishikesh Yog Dham and my days spent there are still fresh in my mind :) The rooms were spacious and the views were amazing! I learnt so much during my time there from Arvind, Ajay, Mahesh and Vikal. They each had such vast knowledge of the subjects they were teaching. It was tough trying to pick a school initially, but Fatima was so patient and answered all my questions. The food (especially breakfast!!) was really delicious. Be ready to step out of your comfort zone and learn the different aspects of yoga at RYD!
A place must be recommended to friends, I did 200 hours TTC here. The teachers were really professional and responsible. They really deliver the knowledge to students. I gained a lot from the course.Room is clean with wonderful view, every morning wake up heard a lot of birds singing, deep breath from the nature.Food was really tasted and various, healthy vegetarian style.Staffs are all helpful and willing to offer you assistance when you need.I was injured when I was practicing yoga, and they took good care of me and drove me to hospital to see doctor, everything was good but just a little thing not in my expectation.because I got injured , many posture I cannot manage to do and I expected I will get some other special course or yoga therapy to heal my injury however I only can follow other students doing the same thing just to avoid to do what I can’t do. I expected the teacher can share me some other asana to practice instead of watching but no, except this not in my expectation otherwise all perfect. Because the course a little bit expensive and I was eager to learn , I told myself can’t give up even I cannot do many posture so I didn’t miss any classes .In some way I really acknowledge the safety awareness of practicing yoga after this injury. I wish every yogi should pay more attention to yourself, don’t force your body , allowing yourself not that perfect, just listen to your bodyI want to say thank you everyone who I met and know in Rishikesh, my teachers , classmates, staffs in Yogdham, the cats & dogs , you are all the lovely one who leads me to the light on my yoga way. Arvind is a brilliant asana teacher, he taught the way combined with alignment so far I applied what I learned from him in my own yoga class and help other people. I hope he still can keep teaching although he has his own business. Fatima was good and offered me a lot of help . Mahesh, Yogi are really knowledgeably. We all love their classes.Last, I have small suggestion, I know your school wants to make students happy, but I think the best way it is to organize outdoor activities at the end of the course instead of in the middle or beginning of the course, as the class were intense, I think it has limited time to learn, so better focus on study more and put activities behind.Thank you for making me a unforgettable experience , please keep the quality ,hope to go back one day! OM!🙏
The food was delicious & they cater to everybodys needs. I look forward to returning for my 300 YTT in a couple months! :-)
Arvind sir and Fatima were a big help when I decided to do my 200-hour yoga Teacher training course in rishikesh from rishikesh yogdham. I enjoyed my stay in Rishikesh and learnt a lot at RYD. Thanks guys.
Rhisikesh yog dham a wonderful place to learn the actual meaning of yoga with authenticity... i highly recomend this school.... to make the firm rock solid base of yoga... with highly skilled and knowledgble teachers... everything is so nice as u cant drow any fault.. everything is easily accessable and staff is so nice and co operative... teachers so much understanding and hard working specially Arvind sir and heart of rhisikesh yog dham Fatima maam.... they are beautiful souls wo working for yoga selflessly.. they take care of their each and every student they treat everyone like a family... learning from them is our pleasure ... they teach from heart with full of dedication... i learn a lot from them they people are so encouraging and focus on each and every student very keenly... place is so nice so clean and full of positivity ... they r truely blessed with knowledge of yoga and humanity... i wish them a successful and happy life ahead ... as they are making a beutiful life journey of others by their hard work and full dedication... thank u for everything😊
I am so happy to have attended the 200 hr yoga teacher training at Yog Dham! It really deepened my experience, knowledge of and love for yoga. When I completed the program i felt prepared in teaching yoga at a professional level. It is a nicely balanced program and I loved every minute of it; from waking up early before the sun and partaking in Jalanetti, to eating their home cooked healthy meals, to learning anatomy and philosophy of yoga, and of course the two asana classes (morning and evening). The teachers were very friendly, good looking, and professional. I felt very much at home and when the program came to an end I just wanted to keep going.Oh, it was also so amazing to have a small group size, which ended up being the best thing for me. Since it was low season when I went, the class was only 5 students (as opposed to 30 at some other yoga schools). I loved how small the class was because it really allowed me the space and attention that I wanted. The max size of the class is 12 I believe, so dont worry about there being too many people!Thank you Yog Dham for the opportunity to learn more about this wonderful practice. Namaste
Hi my name is Tony. I finished my 200hrs hatha yoga teacher training course from 12/2017-01/2018, I would say it was one my best experience in my life. First of all, all the staff and teachers are friendly, kind and helpful, then the director is experienced and able to point out my usual mistakes and bad habits from my yoga asana, he allows me to change them and improve my skill and understanding. Then, I also learned meditation, asana, philosophy and anatomy every day, the teachers were good quality and speak good English, and they can explain their stuff very good. The school also provided 3 Veges meals a days, and everyday was different, I love their dinner cuz always yum. Their bed room is big, simple and clean, just be aware if u go during the winter time, at night may be a wee cold.In the weekend, the school hosts some outdoor activities such as hiking, visiting the ceremony places, rafting and sun-rising seeing. All of them were super fun!!!Finally I just wanna say, the school had all the good stuff with a reasonable price that is amazing. Thanks for yog dham helping me to open a door to learn more about yoga. Namaste x
Rishikesh yog dham provides a perfect and safe environment to work on your yoga practice and inner self healing. I thourgly enjoyed my time at this yoga school, and as a fairly new yoga practitioner I learned so much during my 200h which I have built upon in my everyday life. The schedule is tiring to begin with but as the weeks goes on it becomes easier and enjoyable being up at sunrise having your days planned out. The staff are all lovely and supportive and the food is lovely and youll never go hungry however I would have loved a little more fresh veggies throughout the course. The accommodation is comfortable and its great to have your own space to retire to after a difficult yoga class or tiresome day! I would recommend this yoga school to anyone and hope to be back one day in the near future... I miss Rishikesh and the yog dham so much!
Have just finished my 200YTT at YogDham and couldn’t be more happier, the teachers were all professional and with a vast and deep knowledge on Yoga, I can’t really tell who was my favourite has they all were great, always responded to our questions and doubts, a big thank you for all the patience U guys (specially during mahesh, Ajay, Manoj classes )had with us during our classes 🙏🏽 we weren’t easy sometimes😅 I have learnt a lot with you guys!! The yogDham team were Super, the boys where always available to help us, I had a broken window in my room when I arrived, it was very cold, but the boys fixed as quickly I complained with Fatima (who was the manager)and it was all good ( oh and I got a few extra blankets as well, it was like Sahara in the end LOL) the meals was too yummy, I even forgot I am not a vegetarian, food was served 3times a day, since I’m not used to eat a lot of savoury meals for breakfast, I’ve asked the chef to make me extra porridge everyday and they were happy with that, so I was sorted 👌🏽 I just wished we had a few extra lead classes with Arvind, he was our main asana teacher, amazing instructor and observer ( he wouldn’t miss any of our mistakes on our classes 🙈) and for that reason I wish we had had more classes with him. I truly recommend this school, if you are a mature, open minded person and a hatha Yoga practitioner you will love it more. Yes I’m returning for the 300YTT soon 😊
If youre at all wondering whether or not you should, here is my advice: DO IT. This is a high quality program. The teaching, the location, the structure of what youre learning - its all excellent. Youll leave here with the skills and confidence to teach yoga - and youll improve your personal practice!I found this place online and came in person before making a deposit, just to make sure. I was very impressed with everything. The teachers are kind and patient but they know just how to push you beyond what you thought your limit was. The program builds up your strength, flexibility and endurance while teaching you about proper diet, cleansing, breathing, meditation, chanting, teaching and more. Its a very well structured program with periods of rest and excellent meals provided. I learned experientially that yoga is not about poses, but instead about living with joy. In addition, I made fantastic friends through this program - it draws great people from all over the world - and the team here is very caring and accomodating. The group size is small and so each class is highly intimate and meaningful. We covered a ton of great material during a very short time period. It was an absolute worth while experience.I plan to return someday and I recommend Yog Dham very highly.
I love yoga its I always support every single teacher and teaching method and I m excited about it.
I had an amazing time at Rishikesh Yog Dham! I can confidently recommend this yoga school to anyone out there looking for a yoga teacher training program. While deciding on a school, I did a lot of research and Fatima, the co-founder, made me feel at ease with her prompt, informative replies. One of my favorite things about Yog Dham was the quality and personalities of the teachers. Arvind and Manoj taught yoga asana, Mahesh for philosophy, Ajay for anatomy and Vikal for meditation/mantra. Each of them were extremely knowledgeable in their field and welcomed any and all questions from us. They also shared stories with us from time to time, which allowed us to get to know them better as individuals. Plus, each teacher had their own great personality, which made class fun. I always looked forward to my classes! The yoga asana classes were intensive but so rewarding. Before enrolling, I wasn’t sure if I was physically ready for a YTT, but it turned out our group had a wide range of varying ability levels, and everyone was successful. Arvind and Manoj were able to make everyone feel comfortable at their level, while safely pushing us to progress as much as we could. I really appreciated this.Being in India during Diwali was an extra special experience. We created rangolis, dressed up in traditional outfits, danced to drummers in the courtyard and enjoyed fireworks all night. We had an extra special meal that night, with yummy treats that the yoga school got for us.The accommodations are very comfortable here as well. You have your own room with a private bathroom and nice balconies on each side of the room with great views. Everything is clean, and if you need anything the staff are more than happy to help out. The food here is amazing! I didn’t eat out once the whole month because I loved the food so much. I am vegan and was easily accommodated here.I came to India to complete my YTT because I wanted a truly authentic experience where I could learn more about the Indian culture and the true meaning of yoga. I’m happy to say that I was able to get that here at Rishikesh Yog Dham!
The 200 hour yoga teacher training in rishikesh which is conducted by Arvind guru at Rishikesh Yogdham is simply amazing!!!! I loved it.
If you are searching for 200 hour yoga teacher training in Rishikesh, look no further.Choosing a suitable yoga teacher training facility wasn’t easy and it took many phone calls, emails and plenty of critical thinking over months before I was able to make a decision on Rishikesh Yog Dham.I am forever thankful that I enrolled in Rishikesh Yog Dham. The accommodation is basic yet comfortable, the location of the ashram is within easy walking distance to everything in town. It’s only steps away from the busy streets yet offers a serene, safe environment for studying, practicing and resting. I never once worried about my personal safety. The healthy and delicious vegetarian meals are served on time every day in plenty amount to fulfill the hungriest of all yogis.Be ready to have all your five senses rattled, challenged and your thinking process changed (for the better) while in Rishikesh. All the instructors are skillful, experienced and truly experts in their fields; in just a few minutes they will have earned your trust in their knowledge that you will yearn for more. My favourite subject is the yoga philosophy and love the conversational style in our courses.Bring your questions and the determination to learn, for all courses are taught in a casual manner, as if you are having a conversation with the instructors. Don’t let that fool you; the knowledge you walk away with is far greater than you will ever realize. Be an active student in your participation and create a dialog with the teachers.Small classes at RYD ensure personal attention and direct contact with the instructors; other ashrams in town have 1 instructor to 20-30 student ratio. All is not a walk in the park, either; for this 200 TTC program isn’t for the faint of hearts. It requires a student’s full attention and 100% commitment every day. If you set your mind to it, everyone, from the director, teachers, teaching assistants, maintenance workers and even the chef at the Rishikesh Yog Dham and your fellow trainees will help you every step of the way to achieve that goal.Arrive a few days early to acclimate to the new surroundings and stay a week after the program ends to wind down and enjoy the local sceneries will make your visit to Rishikesh complete.Rishikesh Yog Dham will not only make you a yoga teacher, but will positively change you as a person in a way you will never expect.I can’t wait to return for my 300-hour training.P/S: While those monkeys are cute and cuddly, keep your distance and dont stare at them in the eye.
Absolutely the right place to start your yoga jurney! The staff, accomodation, food, the entire program was very good for me. I highly reccomend them, they are doing an extraordinary job!
I am beyond happy that I chose Rishekesh Yog Dham for my YTT. The staff, both teachers, kitchen staff and the all arounders (Mo, Lucky and Sumat) are all so incredible and they quickly make you feel like you are a part of a big new amazing yoga family! The facilities are clean and the teaching is spot on. If you want to explore the area Mo is the man to ask! He arranged bikes for us all, so we could go for a day drive up the Ganges. The days are laid out well, with breaks inbetween so you still have time to spend (for most of us; way to much) money at all the small beautiful tapestry shops near the school or indulge delicious mango juices.I am already planning on going back for my 300 hours!
All around excellent; the teachers and their knowledge, the location, the food and the atmosphere. Me and me classmates graduate tomorrow as very competent Hatha yoga teachers, something that is not always the case with 200 YTTC. I heartily recommend RYD to anyone who is looking to become a yoga teacher or deepen their practice; Arvind, Manoj, Fatima, Mo and the rest are just fantastic. so much so, i have booked to come back for my 300 in August!
I had a wonderful experience completing my 200 hr YTT here in June/July! Looking at all the YTT options on rishikesh may be overwhelming (I cant even remember how many I debated between) but Im reeally happy I ended up at RYD. The teachers are very knowledgeable and the staff is more than welcoming. The food is good, accommodations are clean, and there is a nice atmosphere of home (especially with the enthusiastic puppy waiting to greet everyone in the morning). The overall location is very close to some small shops and cafes, but still nicely tucked away to give a sense of safety and security away from the crowds. The daily schedule is spaced out well with little breaks between classes and meals (good for a quick nap, FaceTime with home, or just chatting it up with the others around you) with Sundays free for exploring or sometimes planned outings. We were able to visit the Kunjapuri Temple for a beautiful sunrise, scooter up the Ganges for a day trip (and a dip), wander around the Beatles Ashram, and were treated to a cooking class courtesy of the kitchen staff. As previously mentioned, the teachers and staff (Arvind, Manoj, Mohit, Fatima, Lucky, Sumit and more!) are all very welcoming and happy to answer any questions you may have. I was lucky to have a great group of people in my batch and its amazing how quickly we all bonded and were able to encourage each other with the help of our teachers. By the end of 4 weeks we really came to think of RYD as a yoga family!
The RYS200 teacher training course I was lucky to have with Rishikesh Yog Dham in October 2016 greatly exceeded my expextations. All the teachers were wonderful: true professionals and very positive people, teaching not just their subjects, but yoga lifestyle in general. Arvind is a great yoga teacher, managing to make the class challanging and most useful for students of different backgrounds and experience. I would recommend the course to anyone interested in teaching yoga, as well as anyone who wants to get a really good base for further self-practice. Ive had just a few months of doing yoga before coming to Yod Dham and for me it was precious knowledge and experience very useful for life in general. Thanks to the school, I sure have become a better and healthier person, started changing my life and food habits and lost 10 kilos of weight during my 2 months stay in Rishikesh.School is comfortably located in a quiet place, but close to the main road, nice restaurants and organic shops are within 10 minutes walk. The rooms are basic, but clean and have everything you need, theres fan and bathroom hot water and a long balcony which we were using for sunbathing. Our batch was lucky that Fatima was at the school and she was doing her best to make us feel at home, and gave advice about the area and helped with anything we needed. Food was very tasty even beimg simple and vegetarian, Im quite a foodie, and used to eating only non-veg, but was truly enjoying almost every meal, and now enjoy vegeterian food much more than before. The schedule is busy and on Sundays we were having some activities together: Rafting, trip to the temple to see the sunrise and Diwali celebration, so if you want to explore Rishikesh well, I would advice to consider staying at least a few more days around Rishikesh before or after the course - it is really beautiful and there are many things to do. I actually stayed for one more month, attending yoga classes at Yog Dham because I liked it so much, and wasnt bored any single day) If you want to travel around India later, you might meet someone on your batch who want to do the same - and travel together after the course, some guys from my group did it and had great fun. Dont take much stuff with you, best is to travel with a light backpack - most things, like organic food and cosmetics, clothes and yoga matts you can buy in Rishikesh much cheaper than in Europe, me and some others in my batch ended up with buying another check-in bag or sending parcles home.Yoga teacher training with Rishikech Yog Dham can be a life-changing experience to you as it was for me, if you open your heart to yoga lifestyle, learn hard and think positive.
A wonderful and unforgettable experience! Grateful to Yog Dham for the 200 hours TTC.
I have heard so many times, that this type or Yoga events are life changing. But I could not even imagine, that they change your life that much.I want to thank every person from Yog Dham School for such a professional hospitality we had during the whole month. The study schedule was correctly organized and even a free time was full of useful activities. The school is allocated at the Tapovan and this part of Rishikesh is perfect for peacefull study and yoga practice. The view from window is just breathtaking. The food was incredibly delicious, we had to thank the chef every single time after having a meal. Such a perfect vegetarian cuisine. And of course the yoga practice, the reason why every person comes to Rishikesh, to get this unique knowledge from real Indian Yogis Oh My God how high is the level of practice here. You may ask, is the one month enough of yoga practice to get the basic knowledge? And the answer is – with good teacher, yes, it is enough Arvind is such a clever young guy who will teach you the traditional Hatha Yoga asanas and sequence. By the end of the course you will have that motivation, power and ambition to teach. To start teaching from tomorrow, to wake up at 5:30 again and do yoga practic and Pranayama. And call all your friends to your yoga class and tell the whole World, how good is yoga for everyone.I have no doubt that I want to repeat it again! To come to Rishikesh Yog Dham and see all these wonderful people who were my huge family during that unforgettable month. NAMASTE! I LOVE YOU!Olga, September 2017
Rishikesh Yog Dham is the one of School which is giving authentic teaching of Hatha Yoga, Can recommend this school to students who really willing to become a successful and career oriented yoga instructor.Awesome Place with both side balcony room.Great people with great yoga teacher training school of the world capital of yoga.
I was looking for somewhere that offered traditional hatha yoga and small groups, and I definitely came to the right place. Being January and out of season, we were a really small group (just six of us) and we bonded like a family during the month we were at Yog Dham. It truly felt like being at home. The teaching was great, the theoretical classes really interesting and while we learned so much, we had a lot of fun doing so. The staff, right from Arvind through to the guys in the kitchen, looked after us so well and were really kind and thoughtful. They arranged a few amazing excursions for us and we got to know them like friends. It was also lovely getting a friendly greeting from the dogs each time you came downstairs.I had been practising yoga for more than 20 years when I did the TTC, and it built on what I already knew, giving me strength and flexibility Id never attained before. Attending Yog Dham has done wonders for my own practice, and left me with the confidence to teach a class. One word of caution if you are planning to go in Dec/Jan - pack warm clothes as those early morning classes are freezing! Though it does warm up as the day progresses. Thanks to all at Yog Dham, I miss you guys...
RecommendationI was looking for a 200 hrs teacher training that would also teach me about why yoga? and how yoga is rooted in indian culture. My hopes were fullfilled.Yog Dham has been supportive throughout the whole training. we were a small group of 8 to 10 students and teachers/staff were always available.the yoga training itself was intense yet well managed. lessons were planned with a certain grace and never did i have the feeling i could hurt myself. we had a lot of personal attention from teachers and after the training i was in the best physical shape i could remember.classes on phliosophy, meditation, history, anatomy and ayurvedic medicine complemented the schedule. these were very helpful in seeing where yoga is coming from and what can be done through it.breathing techniques/chanting of mantras and cleansing techiques were further practical aspects of the training. while cleansing techniques could be hard to digest at times, i´ve found them very benefical - to the body and the mind. breathing techniques and mantras resulted in some deep energetic experience that ranged from a very strong and clear feeling of consciousness to healing processes.food was healthy and appropriate while the rooms had all that you need (which isn´t much in such training). yog dham was very resposive to our suggestions and requests. if you come in winter, be aware: you´re at the foot of the himalayas, so bring some warm clothes.most of all, at all times if felt surrouded by loving care of yog dham, which was very supportive. i am thinking about a 300 hrs training and would go back to yog dham.
I found RYD top notch in their Yogasanas training. Arvind is one of the best you can get in Rishikesh. And he choses his asanas co trainers meticulously. Sonu was the one for my batch and he was fantastic too. The anatomy teacher Ajay was pretty knowledgeable and knew how to make a dry subject entertaining. The food was really great too. The support staff took good care of us.The location is good too. Tucked away in between a paddy field and a small hillock, I spent many evenings staring at natural beauty.Overall a great experience.
I recently completed my 200 Hour YTTC at Rishikesh Yog Dham and I must admit, it was one of the finest decisions I have ever made so far. I had no clue this course, Yoga would transform my life so much. Its like a 360 degree change in my perspective towards life today. With months of research. endless mails, endless inquiries, and postponing my course plans time and again, it now seems like a message from God helping me to choose the right schoolWhat outshines Rishikesh Yog Dham, is its amazingly talented faculty. The teachers are so dedicated towards making us great teachers in return.Arvind… has his own unique way of teaching. He is a completely different person as he enters the class. What I noticed bout him was, like one touches the entrance step in a temple in India in respect to the God, so does Arvind, while entering his Yoga hall. It gives us a loud message that its not just a school he is running but that he actually worships his work and his students like he worships his God. I am glad I chose this school, because what he teaches us in his class is definitely not taught anywhere else without a shadow of a doubt. The entire course training is of high standards..and worthwhile. The admin and the kitchen staff are very humble and polite. always ready to help and serve the best. Accommodation was actually way better than what I had expected. For me, it was just so different and so beautiful to wake up at 5 am and eat dinner by 7 pm. Have never had dinner meals that early ever before. And what should I say, I never imagined a city girl like me working more than 18 hours a day, running to complete all chores, carrying work home and working until I fall asleep..Here I would go off to bed by 9 30 pm max.. I cant believe it was me ..A course and school I will recommend to everyone I cross paths with, who are interested in Yoga.Rishikesh Yog Dham… you rock!!!! my best decision. Thank you so much for teaching me to live life again…To all the folks out there looking forward for YTTC in India… Choose Rishikesh Yog Dham, u will never regret it.Wishing Rishikesh Yog Dham great success in all its endeavors :)
An awesome place to get yourself certified with 200 Hour YTTC Yoga Alliance,USA.
What an amazing experience!I just finished my Yoga TTC in Rishikesh Yog Dham and definitely one of the best decisions of my life.If you are really interested to become a good Yoga teacher and develop yourself in many aspect of your life, this is a perfect place...Forget everything that you know, empty your mind and open it to new knowledge, open your heart to new feelings and experiences. You will not learn only about Hatha Yoga, also you will learn about Indian Philosophy, anatomy, Ayurveda, life style, etc. Also, with very good teacher willing to help you an answer all your questions. The dorms are very comfortable and perfect for study and have time for yourself, the place is really close to all the stores and restaurants if you need it and the best thing it is really quiet with a beautiful view to the mountains.Dont miss the sunrise!!!The food is very good too, you will have your 3 meals at day made with a lot of love from kind cooks.I will really miss this place. TTC 200h course in Rishikesh Yog Dham is definitely one of the life amazing experience. I feel deeply grateful for all the knowledge the teachers shared with us. It was very professional and beneficial. I loved all the programme, morning chanting, cleansing procedures, yoga classes, philosophy, meditation, anatomy. The rooms are very clean, with perfect views – one balcony for the sunrise, the other for the sunset. The meals are absolutely delicious – contibuting in a lot to this intensive programme. I came home more aware of my strengths and weaknesses, of my body and soul, I feel lighter and closer to my inner self. The only thing I´d prefer would be to have more rest after cleansing activities like shankaprakshalana. Otherwise, please, keep going, you are doing a great job! Thanks to all Yog Dham team! I loved it all!
Traditional but open minded, professional but always time for jokesVery competent and sympathetic teachers, they love what they do and they do it well. Groups in yogdham are much smaller than in other schools, there is always time for questions and teachers are really interested in everyone’s well being. I had many drop in classes in Rishikesh, Asana classes in yoghdam were some of the very best. Their focus on a straight back, simple instructions, everyone can follow, challenging, but in easy going and positive atmosphere… There is no competition between teachers and students, they are authentically interested in everyone’s growth.... Each position they show advanced variations, explain common mistakes, how to correct professionally and incidentally you learn Asana names in Sanskrit. It is a well organized schedule, in anatomy classes you receive basic knowledge of the human body in yogic context, also ayurveda, nourishment and chakras are topics. Within pranayama, meditation, mantra chanting and philosophy classes you do not only learn specific techniques or Sanskrit concepts, but receive an insight in the whole spectrum of yoga. The building is simple, clean and quiet. The food is very good, healthy, they respect vegans. Filtered Water available 24 hours, balcony with a view on the stars, hot showers, wifi and two lovely dogs make you feel very safe and comfortable in there! If you have been to yogdham, you cant get lost in the big labyrinth of yoga. You get a very good base in there, a positive attitude towards it and a lot of inspiration. Of course India is kind of you never know exactly what youll get, but this school is a surprise definitely worth :)
After weeks of research for the right yoga school I finally found Yog dham. Thats the best yoga school I have been so far.In a small group of interesting young people (only 7 students) we dived deep into the art of yoga. The daily schedule was challenging but fulfilling. Cleansing, mantra chanting, pranayama, mediation and a complete flow yoga class in the morning before breakfast, a nice way to begin your day!Philosophy and anatomy demanded our full attention not only in classes but also in our self study. The Bhagavad Gita and the yoga sutras of Pantajali were our steady companion in those four weeks. In anatomy we learned all the important bones and muscles of the human body, how we use them in yoga action and how to prevent injuries if the weakest parts.Arvind managed to develope our teaching skills and gave us the confidence that we are able to teach our own classes. I learned a healthy style of yoga, like your back gets challenged but not hurt in any way! No other teacher has ever showed me how to take care of my back and how straight it should be in forwardbends. The accommodation was in clean single rooms with attached bathroom and a very nice view of the Himalayas. And if you want to go to the river banks of the Ganga, it will take a 15 min walk only.In summary this yttc at yog dham was the foundation of my ongoing yoga journey. I had have everything what I wished for in those four weeks. And if you dont, the lovely staff, will help you to make your stay as pleasant as possible and unforgettable as well!To all out there who are struggling in finding the right school! Choose Yog Dham and you wont regret it.
I did my first TTC with Rishikesh Yog Dham and I have no words for explain what it meant to me. It was in 2015 and I traveled for my first time to India, alone. That family opened the doors of their school and they gave me the best present ever: to know who I am.The TTC gave me all the tools to undertand what I was doing there. I went to the school just for improve my own practice but finally, I became to a yoga teacher. All the team is excellent, lovely and very professional. Also, the food was sooooo delicious!!! And the bedroom was perfect, very good conditions. We all know that the city of Rishikesh has something magic. If you are thinking to do a TTC, please, DO IT NOW. And Rishikesh Yog Dham will give you so much love. And this is all what you need. Thanks for everything, Arvind, Fatima, Murli... always in my heart. Thank you, thank you, thank you.Namaste.

Whether planning to teach or trying to improve self practice, Rishikesh Yog Dham offered the most amazing 200 hour TT program! Its always a bit intimidating to search and make sure you are finding the right school, especially when its in a different country! After months of research, I can truly say that Rishikesh Yog Dham was the best choice I made! The living accommodations were very comfortable and safe. I had a nice sized room and bathroom to myself. The food was cooked daily with fresh fruits and vegetables and was absolutely delicious! The staff was also heartfelt and warm! Everyone was so caring and always there if you needed anything or had any questions. The teachers seemed very in tune with understanding each student individually and helping them fine tune their yoga practice. Not only did they help break our physical barriers and accomplish amazing poses, but they also helped us understand that yoga is not only a series of asanas, but instead, a way of life. Each teacher was extremely knowledgeable and available for any questions or concerns we had throughout the course. They made it a priority to help the students get a feel for Indian culture every day as well, which helped the overall experience. I truly miss my gurus from Rishikesh Yog Dham every day! Rishikesh itself was one of the most beautiful, calming, and peaceful places I have ever stayed. The atmosphere was perfect for practicing yoga, meditation, and pranayama with a clear mind. The daily classes of anatomy and philosophy were incredible. Rishikesh Yog Dham is in a great location in Rishikesh as well, as it was only a short walk to the Luxman Jhula Bridge and market, which we explored on our days off. You should strongly consider this school for your Yoga Teacher Training program! You cannot go wrong!! If you have any further questions for me, please feel free to contact the school and ask for my email address. You are more than welcome to contact me!
I just completed the 200 hour YTT, and all I can say is WOW! This training was amazing, far exceeding my expectations. Arvinds teaching style is efficient and precise, all while conveyed with heart and humility. I left feeling 100% confident in my ability to teach a Hatha yoga class. Aside from the teaching, the accommodations are clean and comfortable, the location is perfect, the food is delicious, and Rishikesh, oh how I love you! All in all, I highly recommend getting your 200 YTT at Yog Dham. You will not be disappointed.By the way, I spent countless hours searching for the perfect training online, and I feel so fortunate for finding this one. I honestly dont think I could have picked a better YTT
I had one of life-changing experience in Teacher training course of Rishikesh Yog Dham. It is a pleasure to know good teacher like Arvind who is willing to share his knowledge and experience with his students. I could say Arvind is a best teacher in my life.Course was quite intensive and I made a big progress even though I was totally beginner and slowest student. I learned not only how to teach yoga but also much more than I expected-Best thing I learned was that I can do more than I think-the moment will come if keep trying if it looks like a long way. I feel much more healthier, stronger and positive! In addition, other trainees and all the staffs became my great family who always made me feel at home.I would highly recommend Rishikesh Yog Dham. If youre interested, you should go!
The team at Yogdham is well balanced and highly knowledgable in their fields. On completion I have a strong sense of confidence in not only practical yoga but the concept of a yoga life, this is irreplaceable and I could not of asked for a better place to take this certification. I would reccommend this to anyone who wants to expand their mind on yoga life and knowledge to teach. Thank you Yogdham!
I can only say positive things about Rishikesh Yogdham.Classes are up to 15 people. This is perfect to get individual focus on learnings throughout the course.Arvind (who was accredited at Yog Peeth) is am inspiring teacher. He is so passionate about yoga, it shows through his willingness to teach & theres no judgement.Course is suited for any level of experience. The schedule of this course is perfect - yoga in the morning & afternoon.Food was fantastic! It was a challenge doing yoga teacher training. It tests you physically & emotionally. But the reward at the end is incredible. There are a lot of places to choose from in Rishikesh. Yogdham stood out to me with its location being out of town (only a 15 min walk), this is great during savasana as theres minimal noise & traffic heard outside! If you have any questions, please just email to ask.
The month is broken into 200hours very efficiently i believe. Herbal Tea, Morning Asana and Pranayama Class, Breakfast, Break, Philosophy Class, Meditation Class, Lunch, Anatomy Class and another 2hr break. Afternoon Asana Class, a small break and then dinner. I feel it really gives enough time to space out your day and get your homework done and buy whatever souvenirs your might like from the incredible markets within 5-15 minute walking distance. The school is located very centrally in Rishikesh, close to Lux Manjhula the bridge that connects either side of the city, separated by the Ganges flowing between. Which also means spending time beside this holy river is within a few minutes walk. I truly feel that the Philosophy, Meditation and Anatomy classes are explained in a very thorough manner, to the best of ability with only having 1 month to learn as much as possible. The only thing i could comment on this would be a CLEARER diagnosis of exactly what the assessment would be from the beginning of the month. The afternoon Asana class is fantastic at helping to build a vast knowledge of variety of asana and also shows you how to do each posture properly, and then goes one step further to really allow you to stretch and improve your own personal goals. The morning class allows you to learn Chanting and Pranayama as well as cleansing, (shatkarama) with neti (nasal cleansing) and also asana practice. The only thing i could comment about this would be MORE EXPLANATION needed to feel safer about doing the cleansing and more explanation about the benefits of Pranayama (breathing techniques) so with greater understanding would come greater desire to wake up at 6am and get to class to perform these tasks. Overall the staff are very kind, helpful, and loving. The food is perfect for the practice and can be altered slightly to preference upon request, making you feel very at home. The only thing i can suggest to management, is having a person available at all times for direct contact if anything needs sorting out (taxis, heating in rooms, payment of the course, broken showers and lack of hot water at times, and often power outages - so maybe give multiple candles for each room to accommodate this so we can do our homework :))Other than that, you should feel secure that you will learn all that you came here to learn and more, in a safe, loving environment with VERY knowledgeable people.Thankyou Yog Dham!!!
Never ever thought to find a place like that.I was searching a place for 200 Hour yoga teacher training in Rishikesh and could not believe that there are many or more that 40 Schools. where to go ???? Choosing a right place was too difficult but i found a school which i can acclaim that i had selected the right school. everything is up to the mark.I would not more but just - Rishikesh Yog Dham is a residential hatha yoga teacher training school. If you want to become a successful instructor - go there to make your yogic career. Thank You John.
Hello to everyone! One week ago I finished my teacher training course in Rishikesh Yog Dham. It lasted for a month during summer 2013. Want to share with you what I feel about it and what I learnt doing this course. Although its difficult to make a right choice browsing online looking for a yoga school coz therere hundreds of them, but It was exactly what I wanted - intense program, a bit remote place with a great view, personal attention from teachers, meditation, pranayama and yoga-yoga-yoga.Welcoming atmosphere is one of the most important advantages this school has, u would feel like home as soon as u arrive. By the way, delicious food and neat accommodation provided. When Im saying neat - I truly mean it, Id travelled around India and have an idea how it might be...All in all, guys, I would definitely recommend Yog Dham if you want to do a teacher training or just drop in for a while, which is also possible. Good luck and enjoy! Svet
Way of success 😊😊

I really was happy with my days at this school, the classes have a dynamic that allows for learning efficiently, the rooms are clean and the food wonderful.
This place has a special energy, the rooms are clean, spacious and very nice ... the view is excellent from the two balconies ... a great stay!
Yoga classes are awesome! I enjoyed the anatomy lessons. When you leave, you are ready to teach.Rishikesh is a nice city.We were only 8, we had really personalized lessons. But some caveats:We did 160h and not 200h.The dogs kept barking as we tried to focus on our breathing in the morning. And employees were talking loudly next to us.The asana correction and meditation class are mixed with the afternoon asana class; In fact the online schedule is not respected at all and when I asked the question, I was told that we were not able to sit 45 minutes.I chose this school because it was written yoga nidra. We were given a demo once and then we were told we could do it every night ...Its a school, a business, not a spiritual center. (having crossed a lot of people, its the same thing in all schools, if you are in search of spirituality, prefer an ashram).Contrary to the information that I was sent, they do not take the CB. They brought us into a 4% money exchange !!!!! Consider taking fluids. The rafting trip (included in the price) was canceled due to the monsoon, we asked if there was anything else we could do but nothing was offered.I did not find the atmosphere described in the reviews that made me choose this school. My group was great, but we had virtually no interaction with the locals / employees. It was nevertheless a magnificent experience and I recommend anyone interested in yoga to do a 200h course :)
