Excellent Trip 👌Camp owner is nice and all staffs are polite n well behaved 👍
1. Purpose of My Visit: I was on a 12 Day road trip with my family and this was my Seventh destination.2. Date/Duration of Stay: 30-31st Dec 2020; 2N3D3. Location: Location is Awesome, this camp is located right beside the River, if you have a Riverside Camping in your mind this is the place to be. Is is isolated enough to enjoy a Peaceful Calm vacation. The view are Great. The Jumping Heights Bungee Jumping is very near from the Camp.4. Approach To the Hotel: The approach to the Camp is a bit tricky but can be easily covered. The Camp people help you with everything they can.5. Reception: We had prior bookings so the process was smooth with standard procedure. We were greeted by the Owner of the camp at arrival, we were provided with immediate bonfire(Included in the cost) and a Platter of Assorted Pakoras.6. Amenities: As this is camp so the amenities are as per the camping experience. The resort have a lot of adventure activities too, they also take bookings for Jim Corbett Safari from the resort itself. You can book multiple adventure activities from the camp itself. The owner Sudesh Ji is very helpful.7. Room: We were allotted a Tent with two double beds and attached Toilet Bath. The Tent was very clean, all the tents are river facing.8. Food: The food was good. You can get the feel of Pahadi Khana here. For all the Chai lovers, the Chai here is best plus it is Unlimited. You can get this anytime you want.9. Staff: Staff was Very polite and Very helpful. The Owner Sudesh Sir is a retired army man and he is very polite and he will go out of his way to help you.10. Parking: I loved the parking here, we literally parked our SUV in the middle of the river. They have ample parking.Star Rating:Location: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Cleanliness: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Hospitality: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Amenities: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Food: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Overall: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️of 5Suitable For:Family/Couples/Seniors: Bachelors or Group of Boys are not allowed.Summary:The Camp is very good, I would prefer this camp in my next visit. Worst stayy ever!!!3rd class food.. raita dal everything wateryy3rd class room serviceRoom stinks everytime.Do consider this resort if you want to spoil your vacation🤮🤮🤮🤮
Pros: We stayed at Camp Nadan Van from 19021 Apr 2019. The place has been done up well and the hospitality of the owner and staff is praiseworthy. The Owner happens to be ex Army and he is full of energy and went out of his way to make our stay memorable. It is a Pet friendly place and my Dog had a great time in water and the nearby jungles.2. Special arrangement for our group of seven families consisting of 17 people and two dogs were made for dinner and snacks. Tea and coffee was always available. The food served was very good and we enjoyed it thoroughly. They served non vegetarian also in the dinner on both days in addition to normal vegetarian meals.3. The Camp also arranged the River Rafting and transportation for the same for all of us at very short notice despite being a crowded long week end.4. The place is excellent for Morning walk, Sunset and sun rise. We had the opportunity to see the Moon rise also in the evening. The Camp arranged Music and Bon fire in the evening where we all enjoyed playing games and off course the music of our choice. The tents and washrooms were nice with neat and clean linen and towels. The location of the Camp is excellent and is highly recommended.Cons : The Camp has been advised for making additional some ventilation arrangement in the dining hall and also for the flies.
Place is too good with lovely river ..we enjoyed a lots...but food quality is too bad to describe...1out of 10...too much bad food ...dont stay in nandanvan camp....u can enjoy river without staying in this camp..too much disappointed...

If you are looking forward to spend one or two days in wilderness, doing nothing except tracking, bird watching, yoga, swimming in pristine fresh water, rafting, jumping or just stretching your back, the chances are you are looking for something like Nandan Van resort - some 18 kms farther from Rishikesh in a place known as Mohan Chatti. The owner, Mr. Sudesh Bhatt is an ex-armyman who loves mountaineering and started this venture in this area primarily to offer employment to the youngsters of this geographic region. He encourages the guests coming to stay at Nandan van to visit the nearby villages including his own in the nearby hills to get the feel of what Uttarakhand feels like.I reached Nandan van resort on Saturday 12th January at around noon by driving my car and found two families enjoying themselves thoroughly in the adjacent Heval river - a tributary of mighty Ganga. Though people need to be quite courageous to step into the river in this cold weather of January, the three children and their mom were unwilling to come out of water. I took my camera and reached near water stream and was shocked to find this river with 100% transparent water. You see the river bed as easily as you see the bottom of your glass. After half an hour, we were invited to the spotlessly clean dining hall since lunch was ready. It was not a lavish dinner of course but very healthy and wholesome. Two seasonal vegetables, rajmah, chapati, rice etc. There are 9 cottages in a straight line with the dining hall and kitchen to their right. River bed is in front of them. In each cottage, there are 2 double beds, one side table with two drawers, in the wash room, I found the western style seat, electric geyser, shower with hot and cold water mixer, a wash sink with hot/cold water supply. I found a Sony brand powered sound / music system also so that the guests may enjoy a musical evening. Campfire is also arranged in the evening at the request of guests. The owner is very particular about cleanliness, conservation of environment and wholesome food. The resort has been opened for guests in January 2019 only. The staff is very respectful, and eager to serve. Beds are comfortable. The owner has reportedly placed order for some sports goods. Flying fox, badminton, volly ball are likely to be available in a couple of months. At my age and specially due to cold weather I was not interested in river rafting for which Rishikesh has earned a big name. There is bungy jumping adventure sport also nearby but I cannot even think of it.The owner told me that he intends to start a retail outlet in order to provide a market for the local agricultural produce and he wont add even a single paisa by way of his profit / margin. If this becomes a reality in the days to come, the guests would be able to purchase various grains, daal etc at the rate at which farmers have sold to this retail outlet.P.S. At the request of the resort owner, I had gifted away some pics taken by me to him. I find those pics in another review here. May be the owner passed on those pics to someone.
Worst service ever not to visit again there fullyego full staff not much hygien😤😤
Villagers staf very poor food quality no respect of guest
We visited this camp in Dec 18, this camp is situated near Rishikesh.Very peaceful, neat and clean, warm staff, excellent food, close to nature and close to activities like bunjee jumping, river rafting and zip line. Camp is situated in front of the rever, infact during night time one can listen water flow.Best part is their food which was served fresh and so so tasty, it was like having one of the best food so far. If you plan your trip to Rishikesh add this place for 2 days atleast, strongly recommended...!!!
Awesome stay - got a break - campfire - music - food - river view - friendly owner - guidance - nice staff - just wanted to share a funny thing - bread jam is awesome (my friend vivek had unlimited for two hours😉)
Rooms are good but heter is not at all working food is just okPlace is good to visit
Little bit costly but amazing place to visit with family
In front of Ganga river, very good location and easy to reach with help of Google Maps. Good quality food and very supportive staff.
It was really a mezmerising site to stay
Camp has a great view, good food, and great owner/ staff.
We enjoyed a lot and this is a very good place, I describe about each and every thing1. Food: food quality is good and hygienic.2. Team: all team of nandanvan so cooperative and friendly3. Location: We love this location, its nearby river, we were with our children and they enjoyed a loti really thanks to Mr. Sudhesh Ji and his all team.
Its a wonderful place for kids...u can do hill climbing,swiming....nd lots of enjoy...
So Hygiene , Good and healthy food , staffs are so polite .
Great place owned and operated by a fellow and accomplished Soldier and a mountaineer who has climbed Everest. Wonderful location, comfortable cottages and excellent food. Well trained and very hospitable staff. Stunning view of hills from the open valley. One would not only love to recommend this place but would be very happy to visit time and again.
I loved ♥ this place. Its amazing 👏.
Go there only if you want to live in a army barrack! A lot of do and dont! Fix timing for tea and food! If u need anything else even a water bottle or chips packet , you have to go Mohanchatti across the river! Food is worse!
Very nice place good for nature lovers
Aweome
Pathetic service and very non co-operative owner and staff please do not go there i suggest , not worth a penny
Unlike regular camps, it is actually in wilderness. Extremely spacious, comfortable camps. The business is owned by a local retired army man whose aim is to provide job to the local villagers. The cottages are extremely comfortable, superior quality bed and bathroom fixtures (Geyser etc). Camp site is exactly next to Henwal river (tributary to Ganges).
If you want to relax and get rejuvenated, be away from the maddening crowd....than this is the place. It is a safe place , very clean , good food and well maintained. The owner is very hospitable and courteous. Recommend totally as he is a retired armyman .
Excellent place and staff. The camp is located at adequate distance from other crowded camps of rishikesh. Loved the home cooked food. Nature and serenity at its best.

Nandan van is an amazing place..With the best and friendly staff ..Which is located in a peaceful and beautiful place
Excellent place with scenic surroundings. Camp Nandanvan is located away from crowded environ of Rishikesh. Ample scope for various adventure activities. USP of the place is Mr Sudesh Bhatt , who is ex Army personnel and an avid mountaineer. He personally looks after each and every guest
Though we stayed for a night only but it was a wonderful stay with family
Beautiful place in the lap of mother Nature,, riverlet is a great attraction.. Must visit
Lovely place away from the crowd, very peacfull really love the hospitality as well
Nearest to river side and good ambiance
Stayed at Nandan Van for three days in April 2019. The overall experience was simply awesome. The camp is run by an Ex-Army Mountaineer (Everest) Hav Sudesh Bhatt, who hails from a nearby village. The Accommodation is excellent - NEAT, CLEAN, cozy and well equipped with basic amenities (running hot and cold water, room cooler, clean fresh linen) - yet provides the feel of camping in the wild. The camp (in the banks of a Ganga river hill tributary) is well planned and well organized. All meals are provided and the food is VERY TASTY. The best part is the Staff (crew) of the camp who are EXTREMELY COURTEOUS and ready to provide any assistance at any hour without being intrusive. (After we left, Hav. Sudesh Bhatt even called up in the evening to check if we have reached Delhi safely!!). The place is pet-friendly and kids friendly. Every night there is BON-FIRE and MUSIC. Rafting and treks are organized by the camp management. The owner / manager Hav. Bhatt was present almost all the time to ensure our comfort. Strongly recommended for group of friends, families.
A camp site away from maddening crowd, next to rivelet surrounded by hills and nature in abundance, is an amazing get away for delhites... caretaker, who is a passionate nature lover and retired armyman extends warm hospitality, which is the USP of this place... Home-made variety meals..bon fire etc provides the much needed comfort... Strongly recommended camp site for single stay or larger groups...--- Amit Rastogi
