Nice place to stay with friends or family.Provides good service.No river view but side palace view is awesome ( to use it as photo background).You can go to terrace to chill and enjoy with your group.Good place in reasonable price.We took 4 rooms for Rs.5500 (after bargaining).Note- Please check whether the bedsheet and blanket are changed or not otherwise ask for it.

Very peaceful place for a night stay. Courteous staff. Manish remembered my preferences and proactively told me that everything was ready, in the afternoon that I was supposed to check-in. The room was VERY neat, well appointed and services were super prompt. Laxman Jhula ghat is walkable (~1 Km) from here. There is only street parking, (which is the case with most places here in Rishikesh), but it is quite safe; approach roads are quite narrow.Overall, a brilliant experience. Thanks Vedas Tapovan, for enhancing the satisfaction we expected out of this trip....

Cleanliness was the only issue I think, the bathroom was very dirty. hotel is not on the main road but you can take your vehicle to the hotel. manager and staffs behaviour is good, they respect privacy.

Overall I liked the hotel. Only problem was that during this pandemic situation only one staff was there. He is carrying luggage , he is cooking , he is cleaning thats something I didnt like. They dont allow outside food which is another problem. Their food is very costly comparing to the outside food stall or restaurant. Best part is that lakshman jhula is 5 mins walking

Worst place we have ever been . Completely opposite of what shown in the pictures. Windows inside the room is broken , bedsheets was very dirty. Washroom stands are also broken. Balcony gate was not getting locked and when asked for room service to change the mattresses they denied to do so.

I recently stayed at Vedas Tapovan for 10 nights.I would recommend anyone to stay here. The rooms were clean and modern and the bathroom was excellent and the shower even had a shower curtain to stop the water going all over the bathroom which I really liked. They also provided a hand towel and bath mat.There was a great yoga room that I used and there was some equipment there too.The restaurant was excellent and after trying several other restaurants around I found it was the best in the area and didn’t bother going elsewhere after a few days. Don’t miss the Hot and Sour soup it is excellent.The location was only a little away from Luxman Jhula and it was quiet and there were two ways you can get down to the bridge one which avoided the Main Street and took you through the back streets, which I liked best.Finally the management especially Maneesh the manager was great. He organised the cheapest taxis we could find as I checked a few other places. You can also book trekking and rafting right from the reception there.All in all I know I am coming back to Rishikesh in the future and I will be staying here. You won’t be disappointed if you do so as well.

This place is really nice! I like their hospitality!! Whenever I go to rishikesh I make it a point to stay at Vedas as its very easy for travellers to go to and fro and roam rishikesh whenever they like. You can pay them at the time of leaving . There is no disturbance by the staff .. Rooms are very neat and clean . They have Hot water, Ac and balcony rooms available. They also have TV in every room .. Beds are really Nice and It feels so good to sleep in these beds as they are very cozy and comfortable.. I personally love this place and would recommend others to try it :)

Very near to lakshman jhula and rishikesh market area. The owner of the hotel gave details about all the places to visit and was very humble. The staff of the hotel was very cooperative and helpful. The rooms very clean and have a balcony with mountain view. The overall stay was satisfactory.

I recently stayed at Hotel Vedas Tapoven Rishikesh for 10 nights, I enjoyed the stay very much, the hotel is very clean with good amenities, the staff were lovely and very helpful. location is central to many things, walking distance to the Lakshman Jhula, restaurants, shopping, hiking, rafting etc.The restaurant in the hotel served fantastic food with great staff. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here, would definately stay again.

The room is great; neat and clean with a large bed. The bathroom is quite old-fashioned with the switchboard stupidly placed right under the shower. It was getting wet while showering and was quite scary. The neighbourhood was fairly busy with construction going on in the opposite compound, yet there wasnt any parking facility in the hotel, even for a motorcycle. We had to park on the road outside. Receptionist was very helpful and polite. Breakfast was pathetic, dont opt for it. View from the restaurant on the top floor is marvelous.

This was my 2nd visit to this property. My previous experience was not good, but this time it was just opposite. Food, Staff behaviour, Room Service, Room, everything was top notch. I must say this time the owner of the property Mr. Maneesh managed our needs so well that i cant point out a single mistake and also he is now a good friend of mine😊. My room was Super Deluxe with breathtaking views, comfortable bed, specious with big balcony. Super clean rooms. Very good room services. Food was good (i dont know for some reason they dont give us ketchup when eating food). They have given too many instructions to the guests to follow and they have also mentioned that they would charge ₹1000 if we dry our clothes on railings and they have also not provided any place to dry our clothes, which is very rude. The road leading to the hotel is very narrow. They dont have proper parking facilities.

Really liked hotel services. Co-operation from their side was at par. Loved the food, dinner breakfast were yummy. Hotel room had great cleanliness, due to solar system taking hot shower were just bliss, rooftop restaurant was amazing. What price we paid nd in return what we received was just value for money. This isnt a 5 star hotel. I donno why its stated as 5 star. Its a 2 star hotel with normal facilities and a two car parking space that is also on the adjoining road. Staff was well mannered. Rooms were nice. Its a lil gar from the Ram Jhula but its manageable. Overall. If looking for a place on budget, this is a good choice.

I come back every time with joy to the Vedas Tapovan hotel because it feel like home. The staff is very friendly and this creates a state of confort.In the hotel, periodic renovation works are carried out and they always look like new. Breakfast is very rich. I highly recommend this location.

I have faced issues with the hotel as below -1) Location on google Map for hotel was not correct and it has taken lots of time to locate hotel .2) Hotel is inside of main badrinath road . This is fourth left to right to left and than right turn to reach hotel .3) When i called to given numebr , first she respodned and explained the location . When after 5 minutes , i again called up for 3-4 times but than she never pick up the call .4) Than i reached to hotel and aksed the lady that why she was not taking the call - Answer was - I am busy and than strted arguing .5) I aksed her to arrange water for my kids - It took 25 minutes to serve water , we kept on waiting at reception . 6) By 12.45 PM - rooms were not ready . i informed to hotel in the morning at 7 AM on 8th June about the checkins and they shown the inabaility to given checkingg before 12 Noon . than I reached to hotel at 12.45 PM but still room was not ready . I have booked 2 rooms but they have given me first room at 1.15 and other one at 2 PM .7) When i entered to hotel and rooms were not ready , we asked for toilets which were dirty and my kids refused to use the washrooms .8) When opened the room , toilets were dirty ; linens were not changed ; even AC was not working and no one was there to assist us .9) We have to use the used linens on bed and bear with none working AC .10) In the morning asked for tea at 7 AM , answer was restraunt will be ready at 7.30 Am , tea will bebserved after it .Again i asked for team at 11 AM , reply was tra can not be served after 10.30 AM . This was a patheitic answer which no one will expect after payinf so much of terrif ,11) I was not given any details for wifi password yet . 12) Even we have asked to person at recpetion to come and check AC but no one turned up / even asked them to clean toilets but no one came . Over all a pathetic and dis-satisfying experience which i never expected . please look into the matter and address it .

Very neat & clean room. clean bathroom. toiletries were nice, towels provided were clean.staff is very polite & co operative. breakfast given was tasty, quantity was good. my room didnt have a valley view but that wasnt required at all as the location of the hotel is very peaceful anyways.there was a slight confusion in billing which was quickly resolved on the spot. all in all hotel is very nice and great value for money. would totally recommend it.

Its a new hotel. Very cozy and plush. Restaurant above serves wonderful food. A bit far from the main road but no big deal as long as you have your own transportation. No five star because the hotel does not provide any dormitory for drivers.

Hotel Vedas is situated in Tapovan which is 5-6km away from Bus stand. Firstly I was regretting for booking a hotel so far, but that was actually a boon. Laksman jhula is not very far away n if u r a nature lover, u can easily roam around in scooty/bike. As vedas is slightly outside the city, it offers natural peace of mind. U can ride a bike upto shivpuri on the roads between the hills and River Ganga. Rooms are lil bit smaller but nicely managed. Hotel staff is courteous and helpful. . They arranged water rafting and other things at good prices. Overall a nice stay.

Nice palace to stay Near laxman jhula

Nice cosy rooms, peaceful. The bathrooms are not renovated though. Balcony is common for all the rooms on each floor. No view from the rooms. But the service is good. They gave us a fruit basket everyday. We were surprised with the food being tasty. Breakfast they have 3 menus to choose from Indian, English and Continental and its good. Laxman Jhula is at a walkable distance from the hotel. And they didnt make any fuss even though we were 1 hr late to check out as got late while returning from Haridwar.

Good clean AC rooms, decent food options - Buffet breakfast & Paranthas were especially amazing. Located in main Rishikesh, walking distance from Lakshman Jhula.But the best thing about this hotel are the two gentlemen at the reception/concierge - Pankaj & Rahul who are a true asset to the hotel. Both were so helpful in suggesting us places, restaurants to go to & activities to do in Rishikesh & best means of transport to get there. They were so well versed with the city that they had answers for almost all our queries. Pankaj also helped us in providing an early checkin and was kind enough to upgrade us to a good room when he came to know that we are hoteliers. Housekeeping service is available only till 1600 hours which we realised only when we were moving out of the hotel in the evening and asked for our room to be cleaned. But later when we returned late evening Pankaj and Rahul were kind enough to change the bed sheets themselves and provide us clean linen. All in all a very good hotel to stay at if you are on a budget. Will definately stay again whenever i return to Rishikesh.Room - 3/5Food - 3.5/5Service - 4.5/5Value for Money - 4/5

A good find in Rishikesh. If you are looking for a hotel with great hospitality, then this is one of the best.Pros:1. Hospitality: The manager was very polite and he helped us in every way possible, whether its providing amenities, arranging transport, river rafting etc.2. Room Size: The rooms were pretty small for triple sharing basisLocation can be a pro for those who wants to live totally away from hustle bustle as its located very close to where rishikesh starts. Shivpuri is like 6-7 kms away from this place. It can be a con for those who wants to live very close to riverside etc.

The rooms are really good. We booked super deluxe rooms. They have really nice interiors. Everything is clean, bathrooms are good. You have a balcony from where one can enjoy the views if auch room is booked. The location is walking distance to laxman jhoola and 5 mins auto to Ram jhoola. The staff is lovely. Food needs to be a bit better. Apart from that, Im really satisfied with the stay.

It was our second stay at this hotel. When we reached we were allotted a room which was not even ready. Bathroom tap was leaking and AC wasnt working which was causing suffocation in the room. But after making complaint about all this we were shifted to Deluxe room (our booking was for executive room which is cheaper) within 10 mins. New room was much more spacious and comfortable in every sense. Food was also good except red sauce Pasta. Overall our stay was good.

Vedas Tapovan is located a bit off the road, in the lane next to Hotel Lily (which is on main road). 5-10 minutes walking distance from Laxman Jhula. Room was clean. Clean Towels & Linen. Toiletries were also there. Parking is in front of Hotel (Outside) but safe, nothing to worry. There is no lift. Restaurant is on Terrace (above 2nd Floor). We had Aloo & Gobhi Paranthas in the breakfast with curd. It was yummy. Lunch & Dinner preparations were also good. Reasonably priced food. Market is nearby, lot of other options also available for food.Owner Mr. Manish was very helpful & friendly. Overall nice experience.

Pathetic stay at Vedas tapovan.. room was stinking .it had mosquitoes when asked about the mosquito repellent front desk said they dont have any later the joker brought a spray and said you have to go out this the only thing they can do. No breakfast included in stay! sleep quality can not be rated more than zero.. choose better options available for much cheaper ratesaccessibility from main road is not just difficult. This was a great little hotel in Tapovan with super friendly staff who went our of their way to help us. A special thank you to the staff member who gave us a lift to the ATM all the way in central market when the ATMs were broken in Tapovan. This hotel also seemed to have much better internet than other hotels we stayed in around this area. They seem to have a different type of connection. The breakfast was simple, but good too. The extra money staying in one of the super cheap places was worth it with - solar hot water system, good internet, clean linen and good breakfast.

Location of the hotel is right in the heart of Tapovan, close to Laxman Jhula. Jumping Heights office and pick up point is a stones throw away, this is good for all of you who are planning to take the bus to the Bungee Jumping Point. Full marks to the hotel for Its cleanliness and Service Quality. The Restaurant in the hotel called Himalayan Terrace serves excellent food, you can try any cuisine and you wont be disappointed. And for the first time in my travel experience I saw a manager going the extra mile to satisfy its guests, and his name is Mukesh. He gave us exceptional service and also took us on a guided tour to the ghat were the Ganga Pooja takes place everyday. Thank You Mukesh for your kind gesture. And yes if you are an animal lover then you will have three (Kalu, Gora, and Chotu) furry dogs to feed and love. We had booked three rooms and everybody had a pleasant stay and will stay only in Vedas if we come to Rishikesh next time.

Nice and clean place and all new. It had a coffee/tea maker and a heater in the room and the staff and manager were very kind and helpful. They helped me to buy and print tickets and get me a rickshaw very early in the morning. They even gave me a nice present with some Indian delicious sweets, because it was a special day according to Hindu religion.

Let me start with the location, which is right in the heart of Tapovan and close to Laxman Jhula (easily accessible by Google maps). We were specially in Rishikesh for Bungee Jumping so had booked with Jumping Heights whose office and shuttle pick up is hardly a 5-10 mins walk from the Hotel. Fully Satisfied with the Hotels Service, cleanliness, Food , views and other amenities. Especially we are very thankful to Mr. Mukesh (manager) for being such a lovely host and a Friend a guide for us in our stay. He personally helped us with some offbeat places around the area. Thanks alotttt Mukesh bhai. Extra Brownie points to the hotel just coz of You!!!! The in-house restaurant called as the Himalayan Terrace is an excellent place to have food with some good English breakfast options too. And last but not the least we still miss the three doggies Kalu, Goru and Chotu. We had an Amazing stay here and would surely suggest our friends and family the same.See you soon again Vedas!!!!

Good place for the price. The location is a little difficult to find as it is a bit off the main road, but a combination of google maps and reading signboards should get you there easily enough. Get the hotel guys to call you a Vikram if you dont fancy walking all the way back up to catch your ride.

The Vedas Tapovan is located in Tapovan area, within easy walking distance to Ramanas Garden, the tuk-tuk stand, the Laxman Jula Bridge, The Ganges, Cooking Masala, and Pure Soul Restaurant. You could not ask for a better location, The hotel is very welcoming, friendly, quiet, very clean, responsive, prompt in following up on requests, and completely service-oriented. The water-heaters actually work, space heaters were available on request, fans and a/c tip-top, linens clean and in good condition. The bed was comfortable, king-sized, newer. Bathrooms had western toilets, squeegies, and toiletries. If you asked for something you got it immediately. Someone is always on duty at the desk, ready to help. Laundry service was promt, cheap, and meticulous. Wi-fi was great in our room and in the roof-top restaurant. Breakfasts were good. Manish, Mukesh, and the whole staff are so professional, helpful and super-friendly - it felt like home there. We stayed a month, and for half the price of the Dewa (located around the corner) we were consistently pleased with our choice. I was sad to leave, and on our way out of town Manish actually gave us a call to say goodbye and wish us well. . . little touches like that make experiences feel special. And we did feel special at Vedas. I give it ten stars.

I really enjoyed my stay at Vedas. The room was big and very clean. Bed was excellent. The breakfast was very good and plentiful. The staff is nice and helpful. There is a yoga room where you can practice. During our stay we were the only ones using it so we had itto ourselves.The hotel is in a quiet location so no noise at night but still only a 5min walk from all the restaurants and the bridge. Tapovan has a busy main street and I am very glad we didn’t stay in one of the hotels there.I made a big tour through India and this was one of my favorite places to stay. I‘ll come back.

All the positive reviews mentioned here are FAKE.This hotel is located at a risky hilly place with no connectivity to laxman or ram jhoola.NO electricity if rain comes up. We spent whole life without electricity. Staffs r unhelpful. My home looks like a hotel in front of their small rooms. Dont go by the pictures of rooms and hotel building. Its fake. No staff picks the reception phone. Staffs are not helpful. Smelly n dirty washrooms. Smallest rooms like rat hole.

Well, honestly I was bit confused, whether to give 4/5 or 5/5. Maybe 4.5/5 is a better rating. Location of this hotel is bit of an issue, as the roads leading to it, are in bad shape . The roads are having so much slope, that if you wish to walk it takes hell lot of Huffs and puffs , irrespective of your physical fitness. Also there are absolutely no auto-rickshaw available if you wish to go to main road or to a nearby ATM or to any market nearby. Walking distance of lakshman temple, lakshman jhula and restaurant like Krishna cafe is the main solace. So location wise I wish to give 3/5. Coming to room, very good and well maintained. will give 5/5. Restaurant / Food - Limited options, took lot of time to serve but quality of food was good. Free breakfast was a pain as there is a huge disparity between Indian , Continental and English Breakfast. Quantity wise English breakfast is much much more compared to others and we were forced to take it sometimes. Person who served was nice and courteous. After having Lunch / Dinner they wont tell us the total bill amount. When asked he said he is not supposed to tell !! Strange. Then I spoke to receptionist and calculated the bill amount..It was first experience for me in this regard.Never ever had I faced this situation. Courtesy of main staff - I will give 4.5/5 . I had a bad experience at this hotel . I reached the hotel at around 6 pm and ordered from some snacks it was fine . At around 10 pm I was going to the restaurant upstairs for dinner , I asked one of their staff to clean the table and remove leftover from the room . When I came back after dinner the table was not cleaned neither the plates removed. I called the reception to get it cleaned he replied do it yourself . I asked him for cold water but he refused for that and gave normal water . They told me that they will provide place for the driver to sleep at night but refused later at 11 pm, we were left with no other option at that time . overall there were many things that disappointed me . Small rooms. Electricity flactuation. No Parking Lot. Just Place to stay if no other options. Nothing great to do to near by. Lack of staff for restaurants. Food is Nice for indian style.

It was ok. Budget rooms. Walkable distance to Lakshman jhoola. The staff is really untrained, aloof and inconsiderate. Unsafe for kids

Room is perfectly great. Well maintained cleanliness and very nice view of hills from balcony. We got complimentary breakfast from ibibo booking and aaloo paratha was good in taste.thumbs up...

A very nice and well maintained hotel. Room was good and had all the amenities.Check in checkout was quick and staff was courteous. Only thing this hotel lacks is parking. I will definietely book this hotel for my next trip also.

Clean , beautiful and modern rooms.Good hearty breakfast was provided, taste was also good.Almost all the facilities were provided in the room.Only drawback was, it was somewhat difficult to find the location of the hotel.Else, everything was great.

Stay at Hotel Vedas tapovan was outstanding rooms are well maintained with neat washrooms though rooms are small in size but very comfortable food is amazing and rates of restaurant is also very reasonable not like other hotels where prices are on hike. Location is very nice 5 minutes from laxman jhula and main market even they will book rafting for very reasonable price so I recommend everyone who is planning for rishikesh to stay at Vedas Tapovan

Hotel is located in Tapo an off the main road with a steep incline. Mountain view is subdued. The bathroom in the Delux room we booked was also not very clean. We had to ask for toilet paper. The worst part was they dont even make the bed. I dont mind the rule they have saying sheets will be changed every three days but atleast make the bed? It is a hotel after all. The restaurant food is below average. The breakfast service is too slow.. everyone was confused.Would not recommend this hotel unless you get a really good deal on the price. There are a few restaurants,cafes nearby.

Great place to stay

Everything is reasonably good except that I had few problem with hot water availability.. The staff did solve it.. Maybe it was a temporary issue on their part.. Otherwise the service is nice.. I felt that the price for food is on higher side..
