MR Mahesh, the owner is extremely rude and unprofessional approach towards guests.Disgusting food quality. The property is NOT very well equipped to deal with robbery as I have lost (stolen) some of my belongings that I had kept in the common space. No room assistance or even basic necessities like water wasn’t provided. They don’t have basic etiquettes to not show up at the guest’s room early morning to discuss about bill and all. Extremely disappointed with their hospitality.Frankly I wouldn’t even want to give them a single star as well.

I had one of the best times of my life at AYM Yogshala by doing a 300 Hour Yoga TTC. Where do I start talking about it? The location is perfect, far yet close to the city. There is Ganga tributary passing 2 kms from the campus. The campus is itself quite big that one is never short of the space. Rawat bhaiya, who make food are very kind. I remember that even after having full fledged meals we never felt tired for a class. It is because the food was made in such a way. Now lets talk about the teachers. They make sure that they make you a teacher. Humble, strong and professional is what I would say about the teachers. Mr. Chetan Mahesh was an amazing experienced teacher and a good human being I have learnt N number of things from him, Mr Sant Prakash was a great in meditation and philosophy. Lata was really very humble and an amazing in her profession. I made good connection with the faculty and people over there and my best wishes to AYM family. Thank you to have me here. 🙏

Extremely disgusting attitude of MAHESH, the Owner. He is very comfortable using phrases like ‘get lost’.He does not treat guest as guest. Complete harassment from Mahesh was done. Really bad experience and I wouldn’t recommend anyone to end up wasting their money (high charges without any services).I stayed here for 9 days, during check-in they will mislead you with wrong information and no clear discussion about charges which they will ask from you while checking out. It was a complete shock for me to encounter something like this. Being a woman I felt extremely unsafe with his attitude and the staff members. MAHESH the owner has given all the levy to his staff to misbehave and abuse. During this experience as I wasn’t happy, I ended up writing a google review after which I received a call from one of their staff who was threatening us and o remove the review. This was a complete breach of privacy and my security as my number was shared with the intention of threatening me. Still I preach yoga and peace I decided to pay them their money and peacefully leave the premises as Mahesh was rude enough to say ‘GET LOST’ on my face.

I enrolled in the AYM Yoga schools 200 hour online course from July to September, 2020. All classes took place online and the full curricula was delivered live. The instruction was at a very high level and rigorous, and I was very pleased with the experience, although I would have personally preferred an in-person visit to Rishikesh in order to enjoy Indian culture and food; but this was not possible due to the pandemic. The school provided a strong pedagogical component, by teaching you how to teach. The instructors were compassionate and caring and their actions were in line with their philosophy. The school emphasized the spiritual dimensions of yoga, with asana as a pathway to improvement and enlightenment, not as an end in itself. I would highly recommend this school to anyone who is seriously pursuing knowledge and practice about all forms of traditional yoga.

The reason why I chose AYM is just a photo of a yoga hall in their web site which has such a nice view! Because I didnt know what is YOGA before coming AYM. You can practice any kind of Yoga asana everywhere in Rishikesh, but if you want to learn real Yoga (included Philosophy, Meditation, Anatomy etc), I recommend you to choose AYM. They have great teachers and staff. The most important thing is quality of teaching. Now I know.

Mr. Owner, I am writing this review because you are not ready to take any negative comments in reviews... For your knowledge anyone can comments on google map even he or she is not your customer. I see you have lots of 5 star reviews but most of them are looks fake. You may be a good and successful teacher, I dont doubt that.If you are charging for something you have to give them proper attention, like a lady lost his mobile phone and you dont have time to look into the camera. You are correct Yoga practice is not about money, food and comfort stay. But when you make them commercial you have to look into these, because you are running a business not the traditional Ashrama.I visited your place but there was no one to attend me, I waited and go away. This is how its work I think.

Like everything in India, not perfectly organised, but thats a bit of the charm about it. Pretty big group of people in the class, but very happy overall with the experience. Clean rooms, although I heard some other rooms where not. They teached us a lot, and I would definitely come back to do my 300hrs YTT here. If you did a lot of research on where to go for your yoga teacher training - just like I did for weeks and weeks - then still this place will exceed your expectations. Not only is the staff caring, honest, warm hearted and very supportive, also the teachers are highly knowledgeable, truly inspiring, very experienced and also super funny! I couldn’t think of better teachers. Rishikesh is just THE place to go to start or proceed your spiritual journey, AYM is also a very good choice to learn and experience what yoga has to offer to you. Not to forget the great food which is light and delicious and just perfect for your yoga practice. I stayed at AYM over Christmas and it was really fun and really awesome to learn in a smaller group as it is quite cold in rishikesh at this time of year and totally not high season. However, if you take some warm sweaters and a sleeping bag it’s totally fine and way nicer for your body to practice yoga in cooler weather.I am very grateful for the time I could spent in rishikesh and wanna say a big thank you to AYM where I felt just like I belonged. I loved every minute!

I spent months trying to find the perfect place to do a yoga teacher training course in Rishikesh. After good research and a lot of back and forth emails I decided on AYM. And I have to say I was beyond satisfied. While the first impression of the city and place came as a surprise as I’m not used to travelling to small towns and staying in basic accommodation, but the service and warmth I was offered by the excellent staff was incredible. They were hospitable and welcoming, they made sure I was comfortable at all times and would help with anything that was needed. As for the course - it was great! All the teachers - Suman, Avdesh, Deepak, Vishnu, Benu, Nikhil, Mandeep, Shrijit- they all had very different ways of teaching and ensured all the students participated in the class. Given this was my first exposure to the science of yoga; it was amazing the knowledge that each teacher brought to the table based on their own life experiences. The staff at AYM, especially Rupesh, Kamal and Negi (both the Negiji :) ), definitely contributed to the pleasant environment at AYM. They made an effort to mingle with every student to make sure we had a great stay in between our class room hours, they even helped better my Hindi I suppose. I am sure I’m forgetting a few names like the amazing chef in charge of the kitchen, the Ayurveda masseuse who could make any stiffness disappear, the sneaky AYM paparazzi and a few others. The accommodation is basic and clean. I went with the single room but others chose sharing accommodation. The rooms are simple and have enough space to make yourself comfortable. I’m a little bit of a clean freak so I spent 30-40 mins tidying up the room every day, it sort of became part of my routine easily too! I did carry extra sheets and towels, and these also helped with keeping warm as I went during the end of winter season. The location is pretty great too - it’s by the base of the mountains and away from the tourist filled areas, however just a 10 to 15 walk away for anyone looking to go grab a bite elsewhere. Tonnes of cafes and restaurants close by too!My favourite classes were Ashtanga yoga, some of the types of meditation, the philosophy class and mantra class. Not that ANY classes were bad, but these were the ones I enjoyed most! I have made so many friends from all over the world who I choose to still stay in touch with and hope I can stay connected with the wonderful AYM family as well.I can without a doubt say - I loved my month at Rishikesh, would love to go back and study further with AYM. If you are looking for a good foundation course in yoga/Ayurveda to kick start your career, this is the place to go. And from what I heard from other students their advanced and specialised courses are fantastic as well.

I went there in Nov 2019 for a 300 h yoga course. We did do a multi style physical practice based on different yoga school practices i.e. Ashtanga,Sivananda Iyengar, Yin, Flow, however , the classes were just physical focusing on the final shape of the posture. There was very little subtle body practice. Also, we had no pranayama or meditation practical teaching exam. The anatomy classes had little practical focus. The philosophy class was commentary on the yoga sutras, promoting dogmatic yoga practices rather that looking at the philosophy of yoga and life as we live and teach it. We also taught just a class ourselves in the 4 weeks of training. I wouldnt recommend it for the experienced teacher looking for a well rounded practice and consolidation of teaching skills.I would recommend it for the novice in Indian culture, its a highly beneficial immersion experience. Food, accommodation, and ayurveda therapy and admin staff were excellent, beautiful people to be around. The owner and the swami were very helpful, open and friendly. Its a good retreat idea too.Overall, it was a wonderful personal experience, wish the yoga training was more in-depth and well-rounded teaching oriented.

I had a great experience at AYM, Rishikesh. I learned immense amounts about myself, yoga practice, and the world around me. I met friends that I will cherish forever and teachers who have impacted me for life. This school is amazing if you have a goal of being a yoga teacher. Our schedule was rigorous and there was not much down time, but I felt as though this really allowed the program to be immersive. There is also a very nice cafe in the schools garden where students can relax or study between classes while enjoying a juice, smoothie, or coffee. The food served was very good, very clean and healthy. I had great accommodations, I did my training during monsoon season, where the risk of mold is very high. I chose to have air conditioning in my room and experienced zero problems. Overall, I fully recommend doing your 200-hour yoga teacher training at AYM, I am enormously grateful for my time in Rishikesh.

Located on a small hill, this yoga school is situated in a quiet and calm place away from the loud streets of Rishikesh. The school is surrounded by the foothills of the Himalayas making it a perfect environment for the practice of yoga. The teachers at AYM are wonderful and the staff are willing to help with anything you need. The rooms are clean and cosy and the food is out of this world! I always felt safe at AYM and full of positive energy. I would highly recommend choosing AYM if you’re looking for somewhere to complete 200 hour ttc or for a retreat in Riskikesh. I have already made plans to return to AYM soon, I love this place!

I chose to study at AYM in Rishikesh initially on recommendation from a friend. Jaya will teach you how to teach. Before coming to AYM I had been travelling in India for 6 months, trying to get as much experience of yoga as possible, trying many styles, ashrams and teachers. The teachers were my priority in making my decision; not the accommodation, food or otherwise, (although these were really great too! bonus). I had not read any reviews online. My expectations (although it is of course best never to have any om shanti) were far exceeded. I came for a trial class of Ashtanga with Avdesh another excellent teacher, and realised that its the real deal - similar to the Mysore style I had enjoyed. Without doubt all the teachers are true professionals, and the knowledge they share is inpsiring, humbling and life-changing. The course is well structured, balanced, and gives a holisitic well-rounded baseline into physical, philosophical and spiritual aspects of yoga not just the asana. The anatomy and pihilosophy classes were stimulating and entertaining. The material covered is fresh and not repetitive (as it can often be in India for Western audiences). The other students provided an encouraging, empowering space to practice teaching. The food is varied, fruit in the morning, not spicy, and is much better than what is often served as traditional ashrams. The rooms were clean and comfortable and I felt in luxury after six months travelling India, where things like laundry often seem hard tasks. I believe this course strikes a good balance, offering an authentic Indian yogic experience while also actively striving to meet Western expectations and satisfy its students. Thank you AYM.

I miss Rishikesh! Especially the yoga intensity, I now have to keep up with my practice and motivation by myself without anyone to encourage or scold me... Im getting there, trying to continue to study and practice with consistency and determination :) Ive taught some classes and realized how much I learned in India, in your course, thank you for giving me the opportunity to joinAlessa from Honduras.

This school is more like a hostle than a yoga school. It was too crowded and we couldnt concentrate on studying. The rooms are not equiped at all( do not consider the pictures cause there are a few good rooms as well but only a few ones). Other rooms are so dirty, the blankets were full of hair and dirt... bath rooms were also discusting and we had to wash ours 3 times before using. The location is far from the main streets and you have to walk about 30 minutes to reach to the closest resturant. Our ashtanga teacher went on a trip for 5-6 session during the course ( I had subscriebed for ashtanga ttc) and it was a lot of wasting time for us. the classes are too crowded, so you cant even hear the teachers voice and teachers cant notice to all the students.I also lost my cellphone on the yoga hall and asked the owner to check the camera, but he refused and told me that this is difficult to check it for this case😳 So what is camera for!!!??? For a suside😐? And after one week that I insisted, he told me that ok I checked but I couldnt find any recorded file for the day you lost your phone... it was so shocking.

Namaste,My name Renee and I have attended AYM Yoga School in Nov/Dec 2017 for the 200-hour yoga teacher training. After reading the Michael Przednowek review I would also like to share my experience with everyone. We were in same group. Its very hard to find best yoga school in Rishikesh but I was very lucky to find AYM Yoga School which is located at very peaceful and calm location in upper tapovan surrounded by Himalayas.I am very happy with AYM because everyone was very helpful and the AYMs teachers were very knowledgeable, food being offered here is very healthy and deliciouss. No doubt AYM Yoga School staff is giving their best on food and hospitality. This is the place where we can learn with different age group people coming from all over the world, they all were ready to share their knowledge and all of them had a zeal to learn from each other and everything about India, its culture and Yoga.AYM Yoga School mentioned that their yoga group size would be 20 to 25 it was very suitable and during my time it was 44 approx, and the director of AYM Yoga School was very helpful and he divided our group into two parts and everyone was very happy because the group size was 22. They have many yoga studios where people can learn and practice yoga without any disturbance. Our 200-hour group recieved all the facilities as mentioned before and teachers were very helpful as they were focus on every student seprately - they correct the alignments, poses, meditation and were always ready clarify the doubts and also correct them if they were doing wrong. In Meditation class the teacher was very polite and he taught many different meditaion styles like how you can meditate in noise or how do you overcome your depression and come out from bad to worst situations of life, it was all about mind control which other schools never teach.During my visit to AYM I came to know that thw AYM Yoga School is a non-profitable organization and they are running their school not for sake of money but they believe in quallity education and yoga awareness should reach all over the world. I believe in Rishikesh no school is offering such kind of facilities and knowledge about yoga and meditation. The teachers were also taking the feedback to improve the teaching skills according to the batch. I would also like to share that the AYM Yoga School teachers are very dedicated towards their work, they reach on time in class and never felt lazy in any moment during our whole training program, they were always keen to share their knowledge and wanted to let us know as much as they could. The exams and assessment were very effective as it improved our knowledge so much and even I discussed the same with my batchmates, they told me that the school and teachers give time to each student assessment and evaluate them properly and let us know what were our strengths and weakness and helped us to overcome the weaknessess and motivated us alot. Every class structure by AYM is perfectly designed as here teachers gives us guidance and explains what is good for every individual.Overall we found that it was intense course and we had very less time to learn so many things but it is all upto you how much time do you practice for yoga and meditation during the course. I made so many friends there and they all were very happy but sometimes we cannot make happy to everyone as may be their expections is something else and not always just learning. At the end I would like wrap up the things by saying that it took me 20 minutes to write this review for AYM by I am very happy to post this as it coming directly from deep inside me as AYM has changed my life altogether. At the end I will conclude by saying that AYM is a home of yoga, come here, learn here, and clear your mind here, because when you gonna live this place I am sure you gonna miss these things. The schedule, food, family, friends, teachers, and kindness of Yogi Chetan Mahesh is worthy of praise. Thanks

AYM reviewI attended AYM in Nov/Dec 2017 for the 200 hour yoga teacher training. I’ve been traveling since then and that’s why it’s taken me a while but I wanted to post a detailed review as I appreciate the difficulty in choosing a YTT amongst the numerous options in Rishikesh, and I’m surprised by all the 5-star reviews on here. I used the reviews to help me choose this school and was a little disappointed...Plus points:- The teachers were nice, friendly, approachable and knowledgeable.- The food was really good! I loved it and found it really hard not to overeat at every meal; in fact I left AYM fatter than when I arrived.- On the whole it was an unforgettable experience. To share a month with like-minded people from all around the world, hang out, play, and learn from the course and from each other was amazing. On the negative side:- Large group size. This was a crucial factor for me when choosing a course so I specifically asked about the maximum group size by email in advance and Mahesh the director said 20-25. It turned out we were 44 and I felt deceived but decided to wait a few days and see. We were divided into two groups for asana classes but for everything else we were 44. It’s harder to hear, especially when not all teachers have great English and larger groups make more noise too. It’s harder to ask questions or request clarification if you haven’t grasped a point. Also everything takes longer, for example in meditation class after trying a new style, going round the room asking each student in turn about their experience. Half the class stopped listening and started chatting. And you just can’t have the same level of interaction as with a more intimate group. When I challenged Mahesh about his email he did not apologise or explain, he just said, “we have split you in two for asana class”. For the reasons above that wasn’t good enough for me and made me think maximum income and profits are the main objective of this school.- Very little time was spent on teaching us how to teach. Everyone had to prepare just one 45-minute class, to a group of fellow students, to be assessed. We were asked to give each other feedback but to make it only positive so as not to damage anyone’s confidence. A teacher did give us feedback on too but it was very superficial and also only positive. That was it for learning to teach. I realise it takes more than a 200 hour course to learn to teach but I felt we should have had more.- Teachers were routinely 10-15 minutes late for class. They would usually make up for this by adding (some, but not all) time at the end of the class but then you lose some of your break or the next class.- Don’t expect 200 hours of contact time. It was about 160 hours (if that; see time-wasting point above) of actual classes and teaching practice. The rest is supposed to be self study but to fit in over an hour of self study a day I found virtually impossible.- Exams and assessment were ineffective. We were given exam questions in advance or as coursework ie written in our own time and emailed to Mahesh. Neither of these were marked or if they were we were not given any marks/corrections/feedback.- Don’t expect a daily meditation or asana practice. In meditation/pramayama/cleansing class (2 days per week of each) we were shown and explained various styles of meditation but only for short periods of 5-10 minutes. I was getting up 45 minutes earlier every day to fit in my own meditation/pranayama practice.- At no point were we asked for any feedback or suggestions for improvement, which is a sign the management is not committed to delivering the best course.Overall I found this YTT an ok introduction to the practice and philosophy of yoga, I made some amazing friends and enjoyed a month in Rishikesh, but I’m convinced there are better 200 hour courses available for this amount of money.

The school is located on top of a hill in Rishkesh, few minutes walk from the busy street.Surrounded by mountains a mix of rural, families, nature and Indian culture. The building is nice and rooms are clean and spacious. But the teachers are really what makes this place. I feel so inspired by how genuinely each teacher, manager, cook, cleaner, school assistant are in their actions. Everyone just sharing what they know from who they are. Smiles, jokes, knowledge, serenity, playfulness. Thank You soooo much AYM for sharing real Yoga with people from all over the world. For sharing authentic all parts of Yoga. I. so grateful for having found this place and here retreating, learning and experiencing. Namaste :)

I just completed the 200h Yoga Teacher Training and the amount of knowledge that all the teachers share is incredible! If you read this review, you found your school to get your YTT certificate!!! From personal experience, I spent 3 weeks searching online and decided to come to Rishikesh without booking any school. Spent another 2 days, walking to 5 selected schools out of hundred and once I walked into AYM school, I knew it was the place to study yoga. The level of dedication, professionalism, and teaching is very high. All the teachers are incredibly knowledgeable, experienced and learning from them was extremely interesting. The environment and energy of this place is positive and great; you can study in their green garden, on the rooftop terrace or at the library. During the time in between classes, the garden is the best place to spend your days having breakfast and lunch, studying and socializing with other students while drinking masala chai, coconut water, smoothies or any other drink that’s of the menu. From day one to the last day of my stay, everyone in the AYM team was very welcoming, caring and helpful. Every single day spent here was a blessing. Thank you very much to every single person who is part of AYM team for your effort in making this school a special place 🙏💚 Looking forward to come back here to complete the 300h YTT!

My first love is Ashtanga and must say I loved every class here with amazing Rohit. Mahesh, the owner and our Hatha teacher, taught me so much, from technical level as well how to be as a teacher on a more personal level. All the theory classes were amazing as well. Well integrated to the whole course. Wish we have had more free time to do more studying but after all the day only has 24h :) Will never forget this experience and it was worth quitting my job and strating this new chapter in my life! About my experience in AYM - 500 Hr TTCAccommodation and food_ The place is really nice and I guess most of the rooms have a nice view to either the mountain or the town, the building is pretty clean most of the time and the stuff is really supportive and nice, always willing to help you if any problem occurs. The food is good, and the cook is always trying to make you happy with the food and aware of what things you like and which has not so much approval, from my personal point of view I would love to have more raw food in the menu so we have a change some days from the classical Indian flavors, anyway I know the food is always fresh and prepare with love, also abundant so you wont ever be hungry. Maybe if you like more western flavors you could get bored, but nothing that some soy sauce can not fix.500 TTC_ My experience during the training was really good, the teachers are always willing to answer to your questions inside and out of the yoga halls and in general I feel its been quite complete. Sometimes you wish you had more time to study some things that are missing but obviously when you take a 2 months training you ca not expect to have all the knowledge that you will build with your own practice after the training during your life. The 300 hrs program is super diverse so you can get a pick of different styles, and then with this wide knowledge decide what would be your path, yoga therapy classes are amazing and complementing the rest of the classes. In general Im really satisfied.

Having just completed my 200 hours of yoga teacher-training, I can feel the change in my body and mind. Practising yoga intensively for a month, from physical practice, to breathing, meditation, and philosophy is one of the best things you can do for yourself. With the knowledge gained here at AYM my practice has become much deeper and more varied, which will help me so much in trying to integrate yoga into my life. AYM in Rishikesh is situated in a beautiful, more relaxed residential area that goes up from the main town. The yoga hall, the rooms, and the food (healthy, vegetarian, and mostly Indian) are all really nice. Only the library, unfortunately, does not offer much information at all on yoga, and is thus not really used.Where the strength of AYM really shines through is with its teachers. All classes have different teachers and all of the teachers for the 200hr course are knowledgeable about their field and good at engaging and motivate the students to learn, think, and practice. Especially inspiring was Jaya, the Hatha/Iyengar teacher. His teaching is honest, disciplined, and very motivating. He knows the poses, but he especially knows how to make you learn, understand, and through this understanding, later teach them.So where Asthanga practice in the morning really worked on building strength, stamina, and flexibility, and quickly making us familiar with a variety of poses; the Hatha practice took our understanding of the poses to a higher and higher level. So now, after all this practice and learning I know how to hold a pose longer, better, and go deeper. But do not worry, there is some room fore fun as well. You will meet amazing fellow students here. On your days off you can explore the touristic and spiritual town of Rishikesh with them. And one day the school will organise a trip, where we were lucky enough to go rafting on the holy river Ganga! So if AYM keeps their great teachers, and improves a bit on their organisation and discipline (to motivate the students to achieve their best), then it will remain one of the best schools in Rishikesh!

The AYM 200 TTC in Rishikesh is excellent. Both the ashtanaga and hatha classes are demanding, informative and fun with great knowledgeable teachers. There is pranayama class, in which you learn different breathing, cleansing and meditating techniques. The philosophy of yoga is fascinating, and it has changed my perception of yoga practice. Anatomy and physiology is very informative and usually productive. Lesson planning is useful at most and there are chances to practice teaching the rest of the course, which progresses you a lot. The food is great! the rooms are simple and good. location is perfect. Not to far out if you need anything and really close to nature and a great stream with lots of pools. every place has its small faults, but that are also sometimes out of their control. Happy to be here and highly recommend.

Practicing yoga less than 20 times back in Canada I thought this would be a good educational experience about yoga and mediation. It was. There is so much to learn about yoga and the lifestyle that it requires. It sets you up nicely for the 300 hr course. I would call myself an active person. The four weeks here were physically intense going through asanas 2-3 times a day. I would recommend that if you do not have regular practice that you prepare yourself for this course. It was very beneficial for myself and would recommend it anyone wanting to further their yoga practice or wanting to become a teacher. Coming out of the 200 hour course I would not call myself a teacher but it a step in the right direction. There is a good mix of meditation, methodology, and philosophy, physiology and poses. Accommodation is average as per Indian standards. Food was light, lacking a bit of protein in the morning though. It was nice to have wifi in our room. I did it in Mid may to june, the fans in the room were a life saver. Its hot but not unbearable to do the course during this time. Good idea to bring some nuts and electrolytes. Namaste!

In april I have followed the 200 hour teag program. cher training at the AYM school in Rishikesh. As a breathing teacher I wanted to learn primarily about pranayama breathing. I already liked the calming effects of yoga on body and mind and was curious what this course could bring me. I had only six months experience in yoga, but I wanted to immerse myself in Yoga through a disciplined and demanding course.Although I came without expectations I can say that the course has exceeded my expectations. Within a few weeks I found myself in stretches I wasn’t’ t able to do before, so the course has definitely tuned my body. I also realised that it was fun to teach yoga pose’ s (asana’ s) to others. I have a background as a personal trainer and think the asana’ s are interesting to translate into sports programs.

Maybe it was bad timing, but this place didnt live up to my expectations. They changed the schedule many, many times. Wanted to take away all of our Sundays off because of Diwali festival. So that we could finish earlier. But we refused, one day off in this very intense course, every week is important in my opinion. Also half of our hatha yoga classes were replaced with iyengar yoga with another teacher. (Not really what I signed up for.. at all!) It seemed more important for Mahesh to look and guide the renovations on the building (very very disturbing, and noisy.) Many of the rooms didnt have anywhere to put luggage exept the floor.. I got the feeling that this place lost it spirit and turned more in to a buisness, money focused. Im sure mahesh once was more dedicated. Anyways, I wasnt happy with my 200 ttc at all. But maybe it was just bad timing?

In general, the Teacher Training course was okay. Teachers were knowledgeable about their subjects. The course material was well rounded, it covers a good range of topics from asana practice to philosophy, anatomy, meditation and pranayama practice. Accommodation is pleasant, though there are some minor faults here and there with the power outages and disrupted wifi connections. Food in general is good but there can be more variety. The lesson planning session was a little too brief, there could be more discussion and guidance on how to plan a complete class sequence. I felt that the lesson planning classes were too touch and go, there could be more in depth discussion on how to properly sequence a class. There was also no lesson on learning the proper pronunciation of Sanskrit words and the meaning of the Sanskrit words, especially for the asana names. Some people were very confused with the Sanskrit names so maybe that can be looked into. In terms of Ashtanga asana practice, there could be more emphasis on learning the common mistakes in alignment for the poses, benefits of the poses, and what are the variations that can be taken if a student is not able to do the full expression of the pose. The pace of the Ashtanga class was also a little too fast.
