This place has it going on! The ambiance, customer interactions, service and did I mention the food!? Absolutely delicious food, hot and fast. A menu for everyone thats simple yet interesting. The cocktails are great, the names definitely get you interested in the flavors, and I love how they make their some of their own liquors, and different flavorings. Id definitely recommend this establishment. Midtown Reno definitely has a hidden gem called Midtown Eats.

One of the best BBQ Bacon Cheeseburgers I have had in a very long time. On the outside, the restaurant is very unassuming, but I was pleasantly surprised by the interior. They have a cool design going on with an awesome chandelier in the middle and the classic bottle wall behind the bar. Excellent cocktail menu. Try the roasted cauliflower for an appetizer.

Great hamburger. The fresh made lemonade was also great. The carrot cake wasnt amazing but thats because I prefer lots of icing on mine. Definitely try it out!

**update**So I’m back in Reno and had to come back to Midtown Eats and I’m glad I did. The first time was great but the second time was even better. That steak and frites I had this time was KILLER! So if you haven’t been you need to come because the service, food and drinks are great!*original post*First time in Reno and Midtown Eats did not disappoint. First time here, I’ve been wanting to go for a some time now. The place is pretty cool, the ambiance is pretty chill. My boyfriend and I both ordered their strongest Ale and it did in fact hit us half way. We were both hungry and ordered a burger 🍔 and oh my goodness, this was a good burger, a lot of meat and very delicious.(keep in mind I’m not a meat lover) the burger came with a side of fries and they are not stingy at all with their 🍟 fries. Our server was really good and loved how I asked for a side of chipotle aioli and my boyfriend asked for ranch for both of us and she brought us both of each. I really appreciate when servers are kind like that😊Our check was over $50 but that’s because the 🍺 was $12 each and that’s okay that was a strong oneOverall great place, loved it will definitely go again, specially when we get the munchies.

Not happy. Watched the manager scold a waitress. Waitress talked too softly. The worst biscuit and gravy EVER! Menu says 2 biscuits when in fact it is 1 small biscuit cut in half. There was nothing “gravy” about it... it was like milk poured over the sausage. No flavor in at all. Won’t go back ~

Good food at decent prices. The Portabello mushroom burger was good and has a flavorful sauce. I also ordered the mushroom soup which was good but came with a bit of oil on the top, a little too much for my liking but otherwise very good.I highly recommend their sodas, both the vanilla orange and the strawberry sodas were very good with lots of flavor and hardly any sugar. I wish I could buy it at a store.Check this place out if you get a chance, not bad.

The food was awesome. Our server, Chelsea(?), was awesome. Unfortunately the kitchen seemed to be having hiccup after hiccup, but I think thats a product of short staffing. Highly recommend the biscuits and gravy because it was SO GOOD.

My review is actually a 4.5 star. They only lose half a star because they told us a 10-15 min wait which turned out to be 40 min outside and it was cold. Other than that great food, great service and great drinks. I had the atomic burger, best burger i’ve had in Reno/ Sparks hands down. It had a habanero salsa in it which intimidated me a tad because i thought it would be too hot but no, it did pack some heat but not too much at all, just enough to make you sip your drink. Cooked to perfection, they’ll see me again next weekend.

Went here for the first time and I loved it! The atmosphere is relaxed and the decor is pretty unique. Our waiter was unbelievably nice and helpful with suggestions. My portabella sandwich and sweet potato fries were awesome and the portions were perfect. I cant wait to bring a few friends back for drinks and snacks at the bar. The drink menu looked delicious too!

First time here I what are the duck confit it was wonderful. I came back about a year later passing through the area and they no longer have the duck confit they ordered a similar chicken dish. The inside is beautiful to have more whiskeys than you can count

Wow, one of the spiciest margaritas (Ode to Tommys) that ive ever had, and it was delicious. Heard a lot about this place as a newcomer to town, but with a name like midtown eats, i wasnt expecting much - blown away though by the flavor. Really good shishito peppers, my favorite green bean dish (buttered brown sugar), and some good (not excellent) ribs. Meat was a bit tough, but still a great dish.

The food was amazing! When we first walked in we noticed the bright, clean setting and the nice hostess. Prices are good for the amount of food. And the food... so good. Everything was made extremely well. The sweet potato fries were crunchy but not over done and the steak Benedict was heaven on earth. Definitely come check this place out!

Love this establishment! Went for the first time on New Year’s Eve for dinner and enjoyed the atmosphere, staff, cocktails, and food. The Ribeye special was delicious! It was clean and guests were appropriately spaced. Will definitely be back!

Well first its Sunday. My sister and I went to check it out no signage saying closed and google listing says closes at 4 ( it was 2:45) Soo yea update days of operation would be nice :/ bummed really was interested in checking in.

Had the biscuits & gravy with scrambled egg, BEST B&G Ive ever had! Ill be back to try their other stuff! Terrific service too, I wish they had a beer menu though and kambucha, but overall EXCELLENT!

Ive been wanting to try this place and just hopped over after working a full day in the salon downtown Sunday evening, exhausted and starving! I was one of only a few in the place, and the food was AMAZING but I will be happy to say above all else, the staff here is first rate. Erich at the bar was so friendly, attentive and sweet and Belle the waitress was bubbly, interactive and welcoming. Ive never been here before, but I felt like I was having a meal and a glass of wine with family. I would highly recommend this place for the company, environment, food and overall experience. Heard great things about this place when it was under the same ownership as Death & Taxes and nearby taco shop. Come to find out while we were dining that ownership changed hands in Feb 2020, which might presumably explain the underwhelming quality of food and drinks. Sorry no pictures... it was a disappointing night!Roasted cauliflower appetizer was flavorless and had the texture of limp, previously frozen veggies. Shrimp and sausage fettuccine was plain, and the baby spinach in the pasta was partially raw (did not wilt right). The burger was overcooked on the outside yet dry and flavorless inside, accompanied by mushy buns with avocado and not much else. Fries seemed old. None of this was worth the price. Guess we missed its heyday... skip this place for somewhere else.

Food was okay, salad tasted old, and the employees are all disgruntled with each other. Our waitress did her best but there was a bad attitude about this place.

Cheese burger was great. It was cooked perfectly as medium and bread, vegetables and sauce were also well-balanced. I also ordered some appetizers that I forgot to take photos, but appetizers were great also.

First time coming. Found it on a list of googled eateries. Ordered the shrimp and grits. Not a fan at all. It’s mushy, has no taste/seasoning and is piled with fennel. Informed our server and was discounted $10, 4 bites were taken and I cut up (did not consume) 2 of the 4 shrimp.The table ordered burgers and were all pleased. So if I return, will have to try the burgers. The Mac & Cheese was tasty.For a more urban/southern appetite, this is not the place. It’s very American.

Good but definitely a little pricey

It is neat that Reno has hip restaurants. However...the dinner food menu here was so small, the choices are bare minimum. Seeing what the salads looked like - unappetizing and laughable. $18 for a really unappealing veggie bowl. The prices are outrageous.

Great ambience, awesome food and great service ! I ordered their falafel and sweet potato fries and it was simply AWESOME !!!!

Has a nice feel, was disappointed in my order, got a chefs salad with shrimp, but was really a very plain salad with very little in it and 5 shrimp. No roll , no eggs with it. Certainly not worth $20 I had to eat when I got home.

Beautiful restaurant, VERY clean (dining area and restrooms!) The food is amazing and service was outstanding!! Great place for a date night or brunch with the kiddos!

The last time I ate here it was very good. Went in tonight, got seated right next to the only other people in the restaurant and then got ignored completely for 10 minutes. The couple next to us got up and left because they were also being ignored. Really strange.

I had one of the best rib eye steak dinners at this place accompanied by great service

Service was great. Ceasar was decent, burger was not great...overcooked. Mezcalita - well that was the first one they made and I would have preferred to know that before they charged me. The Gruyere Mac and Cheese was excellent. Ill give it another try...but not sure its worth the price for a Sunday lunch with these issues.

The portobello burger was bomb!

The staff was nice, the beer was good, the entrees were small, tasty but small. I had the veggie pot pie and it amounted to about 1 cup of veggies with a separately cooked crust placed on top. My husbands burger was good. Our friend had a shrimp dish that he said was good but also came in a small dish. For small eaters its fine but if you are hungry, go ahead and enjoy their appetizers too.

The entire staff and owners of super stars they are crushing it to perform under insane restrictions. I would strongly recomend that you go in and support this family owned and operated business. It is open again! after a short time of being closed apparently new owners have taken over. The food and drinks continue to be great not to mention the ambiance. That said, service needs to be improved or diners will soon stop going again, the staff on our visit while pleasant was way off base on service, we sat for long periods of time without attention. We noticed quite a few potential customers stop at the window, look at the menu and move on, a good operation would engage not only their clients in the dining room but also the prospects at their front door.Please improve the service, get your staff to be more attentive and you will succeed!

The food and drinks in the images provided by the owner do not even remotely reflect the actual product, to the extent that I wonder if the advertising images are actually stock photos from another restaurant. Menu, also, does not seem to include a number of items shown in photos.Watered down cocktails. Pretty sad salad. Decent, pub-level burger. Definitely overpriced.Probably 3 stars without the misleading images.

What a delightful establishment. I ordered the Atomic Burger with salad. The burger was medium-rare which was served just the way I wanted. The burger was juicy and seasoned to perfection. Served in brioche bun, the vegetables and avocado really complemented the texture of the burger which enhanced the Atomic spices promised in their menu. My friends got their sweet potato fries, cauliflower, and scallops. The fries were crispy on the outside and soft inside. And the scallops were just magnificent.

What a stellar selection of whiskeys. The way this place is laid out is open and full of energy. Seeing the kitchen is always a pleasure and having a slogan like Damn fine food really got me in the door. Friendly staff and what a hell of a good vibe. The food is way good. Like many things in midtown, get down here and try the amazing places. Add midtown east to your list of must tries.

The vibe and decor makes this a great brunch place. Burger I got was cooked more than I expected, but its not the biggest issue. Staff was odd and made it seem like they couldnt attend to my table when we were almost the only people in the restaurant.

The food was delicious!

First time for drinks here and it has that artsy vibe that midtown is known for! Its was not packed and the handsome bartenders was nice and clean looking they have lots of sprits and bitters and they can make almost anything you could think of. They have homemade soda pop that are Refreshing. The bees knees was a great drink you could get the hint of honey and lemon was wonderful with the gin. Will be back for another around soon!

A pleasant surprise! We went there for breakfast and were not disappointed. The meals we had were very good and service was exceptional. Mimosas and Bloody Marys were perfect. A good find and will be back again

Its a cool pretty hip place. Its been around for 10 years. Eclectic mix of menu items as well as cocktails and beer. Had a late brunch food was good. French press coffee was excellent. Only downfall the high top tables and chairs. The chairs were uncomfortable. So if you eat quick...no biggie. Enjoy! Oh the lighting fixture in the restaurant was really cool.

Such a disappointing experience! Had a reservation for 6pm, had to sit at the bar for 30 minutes before being seated. Once sat, a server never came to bring water/take orders, we waited another 20 minutes and left. Truly terrible service, which is a shame because the food Ive had in the past was very good. When this restaurant was in the smaller building (before they moved) always had excellent service and a great experience.

Very cool place. Awesome food! They make a great BLT with arugula and avocado! And awesome fresh food. Cool edgy industrial design building with retro pieces and Arty look with old vintage telephone booth and great bottle tree wine bottle chandelier! Friendly cool staff. Awesome big bar. Very wild West meets high tech industrial design with concrete and metal honesty of materials modernism. Particularly loved the copper piping industrial sink and valves for the sink in the restroom. Would be a great place to bring kids and they have a grilled cheese soldiers and tomato soup! Highly recommend. Its wire near some awesome murals and graffiti street art.

The burger I had was the best. The side I had was Mac&cheese. It was different. Not bad or good just different. I would definitely try it again.

I was extremely disappointed in this place. The food was pretty good, but the service was atrocious. It took 30 minutes to get seated (it was Sunday, so that is understandable). The woman who showed us to our table was quite rude.They were out of French toast, which was sad. It took 45 minutes to get our food. It took another 10+ to get the check. The server wasnt particularly pleasant.This space is extremely loud, even at half capacity. But their homemade soda is amazing.We certainly will not be returning. For a $50+ brunch, I expected much better service. Or at least service with a smile.

First restaurant my husband and I went to in months. Stephany was so nice and knew how to upsell. Sweet potato hash were bomb with the ribs and strawberry/rhubarb crunch. Went back a couple of days later and had the hash, meatballs (albondigas I think...to die for!!!) and BLTA with an egg.And shocker! They have Manhattans on tap! What? Yes, if you like Manhattans and have been disappointed as many times as we have, you are in for a treat.Thank you Midtown Eats... support local businesses

Love the bigger, new location! The food is still great. The burgers are always delicious and filling. The salads can leave you a little hungry after, though. Sweet potato fries are amazing--and the service is super friendly.

Burger was cooked perfectly and obviously high quality beef, fresh greens and a fresh bun. An easy 8 out of 10. SP Fries were very good but didnt appear home made. Decor is minimal but the bar options are colossal! When I asked what bourbons were available, cute waitress replies all of em, which one do you want. Service was super friendly and if I lived in town would definitely come back.

Came in on a Friday night for a bite before going to a show. Nice crowd mostly full. Seems that the numer of menu selections have been reduced. What we did have was very delicious though. There is a huge selection of alcohol and a menu with some nice cocktails.

The décor is nice and trendy, the food was excellent but I was very disappointed when I actually saw our waiter take a French fry off my sons plate in the kitchen. From where I was sitting I could look straight through a little window and saw her take the French fry off his plate and eat it! Not cool! I didnt say anything because my son did not want to be embarrassed.

Oh dear, what happened? I miss the old midtown eats. After my second visit at the new location I may not make another trip. The food is more or less the same, very good, but gone is the cozy atmosphere that the old location had. They have tripled the dinning area but only doubled the staff. Everyone was working hard and very polite, but in no way handled the busy Sunday evening. The new bar looks good however the rest of place feels like a cafeteria. I know they are going for a simplistic style but the bare white walls and flat uncomfortable chairs are uninviting. The acoustics are unbearable, everyone is in a battle to raise their voice over each other just to be heard at their own table. Maybe I will come back if they let me take my food order next door to death and taxes where the atmosphere is.

I was extremely disappointed in the food, the service, the price, the quality. This place is terrible. The worst restaurant Ive ever eaten at. McDonalds is better. I took my son here for his birthday. Made reservations 8 hours in advance and he we got there, they had placed us way in the back by the bathrooms and the worst table in the place. Our server was rude, the food was old and the portions were awful. We paid well over 140.00 for three people to leave unhappy and still hungry. Terrible! DO NOT GO HERE! SO very disappointed!

The bison burger is hands down my favorite burger in Reno. The sweet potato fries complement it perfectly! The majority of their meat comes from local farms which makes this girl a happy hipster. There are not many places in Reno where I can order an array of meat products and know they are humane.I recently went here for Sunday brunch and discovered its just as good as dinner! The eggs Benedict was spectacular-perfectly poached eggs and fresh squeezed OJ, super yum.

Been here twice and was satisfied with the food and drink both times. I was specifically going there looking for a gourmet burger and good beer, and they delivered exactly that. I also wanted to hip vibe, and they fulfilled that as well! The female bartender with the long brown hair is INCREDIBLE. My last meal there with my girlfriends was made very memorable by her very intuitive service, honest feedback on the drink selections, and very helpful recommendations. She impressed us with her custom cocktail knowledge, so we went outside the box with our drinks and did not regret it.

Great little spot. Not very big inside, but wasnt really busy at lunch on a Saturday. I thought the pork belly appetizer was a bit over-hyped in the reviews, but the chicken sandwich I had for the main course was one of the best I have ever tasted. My wife had the steak tacos and said they were very good as well but more snack size. Good beer selection as well.

Dont park in the lot directly in front of the restaurant! Midtown eats only has street parking now.Nevada Premier Valet now owns the lot and writes tickets without anything posted! They are a bunch of college kids and cheerleaders writing tickets.I dont want to be mad at Midtown Eats because the food/drinks and service is wonderful. They probably have the best burger in midtown! Hopefully they post a sign on the front door.Cant stand these kids getting over on me and probably many many other people parking in Midtown!
