Got the job done, and the people working their are nice, but my computer sometimes makes a loud grinding noise and shuts off, which didnt happen before. Kind of annoys me I spent all that money and this happens.

These guys are the best. I was very frustrated with my computer and was just going to purchase a new one. I didnt have to. They fixed the problem and it is working great. What a nice friendly knowledgeablerepair shop.

The level of communication at this place is the absolute worst I have ever encountered. New parts were needed for my computer and I was advised of that. They did not however tell me that a deposit was needed to purchase the parts. A day and a half later I’m told, “oh yeah we need a deposit for the parts.” So my computer said they’re not being worked on because of a lack of communication on their part . The man who sent the text to inform me of the parts needed then proceeded to argue with with me over the phone and attempted to make me sound as though I was the one in the wrong; when it was his lack of communication!! Absolutely horrible, unprofessional, rude, inconsiderate, and I advise anybody reading this to take your computer elsewhere because I’m sure you will receive better customer service AND communication elsewhere.

First of all the young gentleman was kind and helpful. Second he fixed my computer in less than five minutes third he didn’t charge me. Now what would you pay?!?!These people have become my new computer gurus. I will sing your praises everywhere I go

Brought in my pretty nice HP Laptop with a bad screen on Sunday.Peter was extremely helpful and courteous, left Laptop.Jeff called me around 10:30AM Monday morning, it was already done with upgraded (matte) screen replacement.Works perfect, these guys are all about what they are doing, Computer Repair and Super Nice Customer Service.

I spilled water on my laptop.The first place I went to before here (although they were nice about it) pretty much turned me away immediately, saying there was nothing they could do, parts would take months to arrive, and I should just buy a new laptop. My laptop was $1500 so I sought to seek out a second opinion.Thats when I found Reno computer fix. The person who helped me was so nice, theyve dealt with reviving spilt on laptops before and explained the entire process and gave a price breakdown. They told me they would take everything apart, dry it, scrub away any corrosion, and test individual parts. After looking at it, they told me which parts needed to be replaced which was only the motherboard and power button, gave me an ETA, and it only cost and extra $165. MUCH better than having to buy a whole new $1500 laptop. So relieved that I found this place and the customer service Ive had so far has been awesome.

My gaming desktop was freezing at certain games. Couldnt find the problem. Took it to these guys. This is the third pc they have worked on for me. They always have done great work at reasonable prices. The biggest thing with them for me...they are friendly, do great work and I TRUST them 👍

I have to say that even though this business had a 4.8 star review, I was blown away with their service and how accommodating they were. Luke did an amazing job getting my info transferred onto the new hard drive and setting me up so that when I got it home all I had to do was plug it in and begin where I left off. I run a bookkeeping business from my home office, so it was imperative that I get it back as soon as possible and that the data transfer was done properly. He did it all and in the most timely manner. I have told everyone since then about this business. Thank you for being here for the community. You are awesome!

I brought them my laptop. Not only did they fix exactly what i needed, they did the job fast and without any complications. They replaced a broken touch screen and upgraded my Windows system.I will always take my computer to them for repairs/service.

This is not a competent computer repair shop need to learn how to fix LCD screens on laptops, asked the tech questions about some malware. I was curious and did research the specific issue I was experiencing and was surprised how far off they were. Would not recommend this mom and pop shop Maybe for other issues but I would be carefull. The experience was a negative so just be careful.

The staff is young but incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. They even went out of their way to clean up the inside of the desktop and managed the wires better at no additional cost. Im pretty tech savvy, but if youre struggling get here and let them take care of it.

From other reviews posted recently, it looks like this place is still open and operational. Their website says to email [email protected] for information - I have emailed twice, 13 days ago and 11 days ago, requesting a repair quote, with absolutely no response. I need my Chromebook fixed ASAP and am pretty disappointed that they would just ignore my emails.

My laptop for work (a Mac book) stopped displaying anything on the screen. The computer was fully charged and would turn on, so I knew It was just a display problem. Went to the Apple Store and they said they couldn’t look at it since I didn’t have an appointment and that the soonest appointment would be Thursday (fine, but wouldn’t work since I have design deadlines before that). Went to Reno Computer Fix and they were nice and took a quick look at it and resolved the issues within 10 minutes. Great, helpful, and personable nerdy computer guys. Definitely go to them!

Ive been here several times over the years and always had a great experience. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. One time I went in with an issue that was fixed in minutes and wasnt even charged for it. I dont see myself going anywhere else for computer issues

So my teenage sons computer just wouldnt start last night. Never have I seen a sadder person. His dad and he took it over as soon as they opened ON A SATURDAY and they VERY quickly diagnosed it as a malfunction in the boot-up process . . . got it functioning normally and DID NOT EVEN CHARGE US. We went in for help with my nephews custom-built PC, which wouldnt boot. They were super knowledgable and helpful. They had the parts on hand to test to determine which components were failed. They worked the problem methodically, explaining what they were testing and why.

In store selection is a little more limited than a big box store, but thats more than made up for by the staff, and Im sure they can easily find/order what you need. In my case, an obsolete leftover component from a kind of recycle bin fit the bill (saved me the headache of searching sites like Ebay to find one), and I was happily up and running in no time.Comfortable environment and super friendly, helpful staff who actually know some stuff about computers and parts. It looks like they handle gaming equipment too.Ill definitely check with these folks first in the future.

Awesome shop! Greeted as soon as I stepped in. I was looking for a SATA cable connector as a replacement for a split end. They understood what I was talking about exactly and provided me with a fix.

Love these guys, they are very helpful and cool, with really fast, friendly service, and looks like some great deals on laptops, too. I blew in from out of town and they helped put my computer back together which I had disassembled for travel, and they got right on it. Sweet!

My laptop was not turning on. Googled best laptop repair by me. This was the first place that wasnt an advertisement. I wanted to see if my computer was salvageable or if I needed a new one. The gentleman who helped me began to trouble shoot and found the culprit; a bad battery. He suggested I just order a new battery. I feel like he was entirely honest and didnt try to upsell anything that was unnecessary. Will come back to give them my business when I actually have a significant problem.

My laptop was making a noise for almost two years. I suspected it was the fan. Finally the fan stopped and the computer would overheat and shut down. I took it in and told them I thought it needed a new fan. They said lets see. Within ten minutes they had taken out the fan and found a piece of debris that had locked it up. They cleaned it, oiled it and now it works perfectly. Great job guys. You are the real deal. SUPER GEEKS

I went in because my camera was not working. One of the employees went through all of my software and checked to see if it was a software problem, and then reccommended that I buy a webcam because it was cheaper. He did not charge me for the 30 minutes he put in to see if the issue was software. He explained things to me as he went in terms that I could understand. I reccommend this store completely. They were great people.

They are always friendly and they work very quickly. I have had to go to them for three separate repairs. Every repair was done efficiently and exceeded my expectations. Both times I went there they were upfront about how much I would be paying and how long it would take. Two of the repairs were for a screen replacement and the third was for a battery replacement. Both screen replacements were very quick and I could hardly notice that my screen was broken to begin with! I am very satisfied with them, they are my go-to computer repair shop.

Being a novice at system building, I had a few minor issues with a gaming system I built. I took the Desktop to the guys here and they did an outstanding job getting it up an running. Being new to the area I had no idea where to take my PCs when issues come up, but I do now. Great service, communication, and turnaround.

These guys will stick with you to fix your computer no matter how long it takes. My specific problem ended up taking quite a while because the part sellers kept sending the wrong part. As soon as they had it, though, they went through and fixed it within a day. They are extremely knowledgeable in their work and fair in their pricing. I cannot recommend them enough.

We had services done on two laptops at Reno Computer Fix and we are very pleased with the repairs and the service we received. One laptop was running very slow and turning itself of and the other was completely dead.They were efficient, prompt, kept us informed and a real pleasure to deal with. Even after a couple of days of using the laptops post repair, they were completely helpful and prompt when we had questions and needed help. We totally think this is the best place to go if you need computer repairs.

Needed to upgrade the 4G memory in an old 18 HP all-in-one. Walked in and it took about 20 minutes and I was out for about $40. Fast, quick, and cheap - others said about $100. It is working great and they are friendly and helpful

They posted an ad on Craigslist for help wanted, several points in the ad have different information, and to top it off they offer sub par wages. You can get more per hour working at a warehouse. Why would a company in this day and age offer so little while asking for so much. Reading through their reviews it is pretty clear they are fleecing people who dont know any better.

Wow, these guys deserve MAJOR Kudos--they were incredibly nice, solved our problem in less than an hour and were amazingly easy on the wallet!Ian saved our butts when we came to town this last weekend and my sisters hard drive connector input broke. She couldnt get into her hard drive and had work on the drive she needed to access for a project due the previous day (she is a photographer). Ian opened the casing to find the soldered input has broken and while these folks couldnt do soldering on site, he came up with a creative solution: seat the drive (minus casing) in a hard drive dock and have us use it until we could get a new drive (or get the old one fixed). He originally said he would rent it to us, and then said he would basically sell it to us for the rental price of $30 (since he had just gotten a replacement). He didnt charge us for opening the case and diagnosing. I actually ended up giving Ian a tip since I felt he hadnt charged us enough for the time he spent!Anyway, he handled our problem creatively and quickly (we were in and out in about a half hour), was a pleasure to work, and was insanely affordable. Naturally there are times one might have to wait 5-10 minutes, but they have a budding art gallery that will keep you occupied for hours.These folks know what they are about. Had a issue with a laptop, they didnt communicate the issues or communicate in general, every time I called I got a different story so I had to walk in there to get any answers. After over a month of trial and error they just made it worse. I havent heard from them and consider the laptop theirs now under my bosss direction. Since they wont/havent called me since I originally brought the thing in, Im not to concerned anymore.Nice enough employees though in person, I enjoyed the conversation.

Their prices are competitive (my particular fix was half of what other local companies were charging), and their service is great. So when I went to Reno Computer Fix, they blew me away with their friendly, amazing customer service, SUPER LOW prices, willingness to go above and beyond anything and everything to get me back up and running. They are honest and told me exactly what I needed (or in this case, didn’t need), they found the lowest prices for what I needed, they didn’t try to up sell me on anything I didn’t need or want, but gave me options in our discussion only because I was interested, but still provide quality parts, WITH A GUARANTEE. I will NEVER take my computer issues to anyone else EVER!!!! And I learned when I do buy a new computer they can take all the sales crap off of it that the stores put on for promotions. Brought my laptop in that was blue screening. Turned out my drive was failing. They were able to replace the drive and save my files. Only took a couple days from when I dropped it off, and at a fair price. Id definitely recommend, and will return should I ever have any other issues.

Great service!

Took my desktop in on a Monday. Needed a new video card and liquid cooling system. The guy there Dylan said it would be ready by Thursday at the latest. I called on Friday and Jeff answered the phone. When asked why my computer wasn’t ready he said the parts hadn’t arrived. So when were you going to keep the customer in the loop and let me know that information especially since it was supposed to be ready the day before? He said that he would have Dylan call me to explain. No explanation was needed. Their customer service sucks. Hopefully when I get it back on Monday (a whole week from when I brought it in in the first place) they will not have sabotaged my computer because of this review. Maybe I’m posting this prematurely. I guess I’m taking a bullet for future customers that happen to have issues too. And on a side note, the place has an offputting smell inside.

It got busy but he was able to multi task and was very professional and pleasant to chat withHe resolved my laptop issue and its now working great.
