Beautiful and peaceful monastery sitting on atop a hill. Youd just want to sit here and relax. The view from the monastery is breathtaking. Theres a beautiful statue looking towards the Kailash range. Loved every minute here, would definitely come back here and enjoy the peace that this place has to offer. There are many Apple orchards nearby so you can enjoy that as well.

Amazing monastery amazing statue Buddha but the road is one way to the ministry I prefer to park and walk to the monastery and enjoying the walk this place is good for bring childrens but this place is not accessible for wheelchair today I see is it they are preparing Dalai Lama birthday celebration and some maintenance work is under progress you can see nice view of Kinner Kailash and so many flags, this place is only so flag looks amazing actually yesterday his holiness the 14th Dalai Lama 83 incarnation day I see on the gateThere is statue of Buddha inaugurated by his holiness Dalai Lama in August 1992 for more information I have clicked this image and uploaded here☯♾🕉

Mahabodhi monastery is situated in a small village called Brelangi near Reckong Peo, Himachal Pradesh.The monastery is also known as Brelangi Gompa. The monastery was built on the occasion of Kalachakra Festival in 1992 by the Mahabodhi Society. The wooden walls and roof of this monastery are intricately designed. Monastery also has 10 meter high standing Buddha statue overlooking Kinnaur Kailash mountain.Must visit place.

Extremely difficult drive up with extremely narrow very steep climb up to the monastery, this place seemed comparatively new against all the others in Spiti or Kinnaur. With just one monk there, it seemed deserted, even if it was known as the largest in the region.

Also known as Budh Mandir

Its a Montessori at a steep height and the street is very narrow hardly a single car can move. If by chance the two cars met on the way there is a hard task for both the drivers to adjust as the person driving up has to go down steeply and it will be risky, whereas the person coming down has to face the similar kind of risk as it will also be difficult for him to drive back on such a steep height. So I suggest you to walk to the temple.

I felt very peaceful. When I visited brelangi Monastery in reckong peo. It was a great experience. Roads are very narrow & steep. Only a single vehicle can drive one time.

This place is situated just abobe the recong peo.. because of little elivation of this place a beautiful scenery are visible from here. For inner peace this place is best for people..
