Great staff and customer service,packaged well for long overseas journey

For forty years I had shipped antique ceramics from Asia, the Middle East, Spain and Italy with heartbreaking damages due to poor packing.This is my first time from the UK and fortuitously found PACK & SEND READING, who replied within a day, completed the shipment, home delivery to Canada, professionally packed, properly documented, all in less than a week. Compared with another UK firm which wasted ten daysof misinformation and topped it off with a quotation FIVE times more than my final invoice from Reading. I had to ship to The Netherlands items I bought at an English auction. Searching for several weeks in vain for a company to perform the job, a Dutch friend having a good experience with Pack & Send recommended me this company. The result was more than I expected: excellent communication, superior packing, acceptable shipping rates and delivery in less than a week. Took in two paintings yesterday (Thursday) a week before Christmas to be bespoke packed and delivered to Taunton. Was quoted delivery probably Monday. Extremely professional, attentive and polite despite being incredibly busy; Phoned up by my friend at 16.35 this afternoon to say they had arrived. He said he couldnt fault the service and the packing was great.You may pay a bit extra but it was definitely worth it. This is the second time Ive used them and they were terrific last time too.

Very unprofessional, I paid for all my items to get packed but they didn’t, and I lost a lot of expensive items due to them been unprofessional. Worst experience so far, customer service was bad, they couldn’t even apologize for my missing items. Definitely do not recommend them at all

I have used Pack and Send Reading a number of times over the past few years. The shipments have all been to Portugal and include fragile items such as an antique Chandelier and a Pinball table. I have been relocated to various countries and received what I thought was excellent service with the crating and packing of our personal effects, however Pack and Send completely blew me away. Phil was my go-to and personally monitored my shipment from the UK to the USA. Upon receipt I could see how clearly everything had been labeled on the boxes and upon opening, was astounded at how brilliant and carefully my items had been packed. It was clear that a lot of care and time was put into this whole process. One of the items was a painting of great sentimental value - the crate was lined with various layers of foam and cardboard and painting arrived in perfect condition. Excellent customer service. I needed to ship a large painting abroad - they gave me a quote which was half that of any of the major parcel services. In addition, they also arrived on time to collect the painting from my home, built a secure shipping crate and dealt with all the logistics and paperwork. Ive never had anything couriered before, but Steve at Pack & Send was helpful, patient and professional every step of the way! He helped me coordinate getting boxes picked up from rural Ireland and delivered to Wales, and was always reassuring and thorough. My boxes were all picked up promptly (despite the tricky location!) and delivered to me in great condition and in a timely fashion. They even gave me a small refund after Id over-estimated the amount of boxes I had thought I needed, which I greatly appreciated. I sent some framed artwork from the UK to the USA and it all arrived within a few days of being sent, in perfect condition. Everything was really well packed and protected. I would like to recommend Pack & Send Reading to anyone wishing to ship goods overseas. I employed this company to send my belongings to Canada.I contacted the company by telephone for an estimate – a representative visited my property to view belongings before giving an estimate. This occurred within several days. The amount was competitive with other companies I had contacted. I was informed of all the necessary documentation that was required by Canada Customs before I agreed to accept the contract. I was kept informed by telephone and e-mail of when my goods would be sent.The representative explored various costs and did get me the cheapest deal possible. I was able to store my property with Pack & Send until I confirmed my arrival date in Canada. My goods were packed well and all arrived in mint condition. I was extremely pleased with the service I received and happy that I had chosen a local company.

6 years ago an employee of Pack & Send walked into my woodworking shop and said that they might be able to help me. He was correct, and Im still using them today, which says it all. I sent a painting from Cornwall, UK to Toronto with Pack and Send - having found them on a google search and not knowing the first thing about what was needed to ship anything overseas. They were very efficient with information and paperwork and wrapped the painting securely so that it arrived in tip top shape. I would recommend them indeed!

Pack&Send (Reading) collected the items that I bought over the internet, packed them carefully and professionally, and securely sent them to Australia. They also provided all the documents that I required for import and tax purposes. I found very few other companies that offer all these services together. The service, however, was (as maybe expected) not cheap and I had to call them few times to make sure they do everything on the timing that I needed.Overall, I’ll use the Pack&Send again and recommend them to others.

We are Steel Sculptures Ltd and just before Christmas we needed to deliver a 5m long steel sculpture of the Monopoly Battleship, a 2m high figure of Mr Monopoly and a 2m high sculpture of Rolling Dice to Waterford, Ireland from our workshop in Suffolk. They are all part of a Monopoly themed a public art scheme for Waterford town centre. We needed it to go in one huge load but also with care as Mr Monopoly and the Dice have powder coated surfaces that must not be scratched or scraped in transit. It was proving to be a big headache until I contacted Pack and Send. Finally a company that could offer the size of vehicle as well as the consideration of how we would pack, load and secure the sculptures. They delivered the work on time and at a good price - problem solved.

I have been using Pack and Send to ship contemporary fine art for nearly 12 months, at first with the Bristol branch, and since December 2015, the Reading branch. My experiences to date have only been positive.I have used Pack and Send for more than 50 consignments to date and yet to have a problem. They are reasonable in cost (far more so than most who specialise in fine art shipping), flexible and very efficient (they will typically collect, pack and ship within 48 hours). This has been a significant plus both for me and my clients, who trust Pack and Send on my recommendation.The way in which the Reading branch has looked after me since the Bristol branch closed last month has been very good, and I very much appreciate it. I cant recommend Pack and Send enough...

I received a quick response from Phil in regards to my enquiry as the goods needed to be picked up from the destination within the week. The removal guys were helpful, obliging and polite they took good care in delivering the office furniture bought at auction to our office, allowing for door frames etc no damage caused to building or furniture, some desks were delivered dismantled to fit in the van, the guys re-assembled and helpfully placed them in our room plan and moved some heavy equipment to the first floor, which we are very thankful of.I would use this service again and recommend to friends and this is also reflected by fellow colleagues.Much appreciated!

Pack & Send organised the collection and delivery of a couple of paintings from Norway. They built and sent out what turned out to be a virtually bomb-proof and padded crate which fitted the artwork absolutely perfectly for the return journey and so they arrived without a scratch. They organised the documentation throughout and were on hand to answer emails and telephone calls with efficiency. A superb and impressive service that was well worth every penny. I used Pack and Send Reading to courier 5 boxes of delicate crockery to Goa, India. The items were very well packed and arrived safely.Unfortunately some of the boxes were temporarily misplaced by DHL during transit. This is where Pack and Send Reading really proved their value - the tracked down my missing boxes and kept me in the loop at all times with daily updates as to where my missing items were and the progress being made to deliver my shipment.Pack and Send Reading clearly know their business. Excellent service although there were a couple of fillips on the way. the man who came to collect arrived 3 hours late! But he safely delivered my dinner service and accoutrements back to Reading where they were carefully packed. They left later than expected ie middle of the following week but they got to NYC speedily and were in my sons Pennsylvanian home town by the Friday morning but my son had left for a wedding in Boston, so they kindly delivered on the Monday morning! Only one wine glass out of 12 was damaged, and everything else was fine. I would certainly use again for peace of mind. And I will need to send more as my son and his wife live in Pa.

Awesome service. Collected my server from the Data Centre where Security were not being cooperative. Driver waited and retried over the course of 20mins when he would have been perfectly entitled to leave without it. Server was duly packaged by them - thus proving the accuracy of the company name - and arrived here in perfect condition within the agreed timeframe. Can THOROUGHLY recommend.

Dont use this company, they damaged my snap on expensive toolbox and then tried blaming me for the damage. I have had to take them to court to claim the costs of the damage. Absolute ball ache of a company to deal with. Wish i had used a different company. If i could give them 0 stars i would.

My Mum passed away and I had Colin pack and ship some pictures and photo albums to California. He picked the items up from my sisters house in Woolston and had them delivered to my front door. The packing job was incredible, DHL could have played street hockey with my box and it would have come through unscathed, I just wish I had thought to take a photo!
