The house is located near Gasometer. The rooms are very small and have an ugly design. The furniture in the rooms is awful and not enough to store even basic stuff. Bed is not comfortable, one wall is not painted deliberately and beacuse of that it feels like living in a prison cell. The kitchenette provided is so small that big pots cannot fit on the heating-plate. Besides the small size, cooking a normal meal in this apartment (?) is impossible because heating stops after 15 minutes. The bathroom door is designed such that it cannot close properly and it doesnt have a lock. You can have depression if you live in this house.

Its got everything I need. Being near to the mall and next to the subway station is very conveniently. Rooms are large enough for a single person. I like the modern architecture. The bathroom is spacious and got everything you need. The kitchenette is small but useful. I brought my own electrical oven so I can cook proper dishes. I like it overall.Edit 7.06Im moving our next week but theyre not willing to come inspect my room, so that I can get my deposit back earlier. They didnt give any reasons. Very poor service.

I stayed here during my semester abroad and it was okay. The rooms are small, but very modern and I got everything I needed. The bathroom is really spacious. The location is really great, since its next to the subway station, so you get to the city center in 10 minutes.The rooms are very hot all the time, and this could be unbearable in summer. There were a couple of unannounced visits in my room (to check something) and this was not communicated (they just go into your room after knocking once). Also, there arent really any common rooms and not really a social atmosphere. Overall, it was fine.

So many music rooms

I have lived at base11 for 1 term during my studies. Worst student accommodation ever!Very small rooms with little amount of shelves, and space for storage. Kitchenette is a joke! Awefully small and terribly ventilated. The rooms get very hot in the summer making it difficult to sleep at night at times.

Just moved in today, the staff doesnt care - the attitude is not even there. They want a huge amount of deposit (750€), and cleaning fee is 90€ - but I still had to clean everything today as it smelled so bad! The toilet was nasty and the floor was dirty, there is a lack of storage space. There isnt even the toilet cleaning thing, and my view is on the vuilding next door. Very poor services for the amount of money they want! Very disappointing!!

I have been living here for 4 years while I was studying music. Its a nice place to stay if you are student and dont need too much. All rooms have a small kitchen, bathroom with shower and some furniture like bed, table, closet, microwave and fridge. Wifi, water and storm is include in the price and if you have a problem there is always a very nice technician that solves any problem. Every room has a different size and the distribution its totally different. There are a lot of musicians living there and you can play in the room or in the music rooms on the -1 floor (where you can also practice at night). The underground its 2min walking and in 10min you can be in the center of Vienna. Besides you have supermarkets very near. I hope it helps my review and you spend a nice time in Vienna!

Student hostel. Very small but fully and well equipped studio apartments.

Very nice apartment, well equipped. A little far from the city center but its just a 20 minutes ride with the U-Bahn. Interesting modern architecture all around.

Dont stay here if you have other options! I stayed in this dormitory for 6 months and it was horrible.A few points i want to mention:- Rooms get cleaned ~ once per MONTH.- Rooms get extremely hot.- Its very noisy outside, because there is a kind of waste disposal factoryjust in front of the dormitory.- There are lots of small bugs in the rooms, so if you are afraid of bugs, -DONT GO THERE!- The students who live there are extremely unfriendly and there is nostudent culture.- They want extra money for everything, even if you want to use the common music rooms.There are lots of good dormitories in vienna, and this one is clearly not one of them!

Everything sucks. Very noise area due to garbage sorting organisation in front. Awful support especially from OEAD if you are unlucky to book by their help. My clothing were stolen from washing machine, I wrote to OEAD and Base11 administration directly with no reaction.Better search for something else.

I cant speak about the apartments, but they require the payment of an application fee BEFORE telling if any rooms are available! The arrogance of that is stunning.

The dormitory would be pretty nice if it werent for the residents.Unfortunately some very disrespectful people live here. It happens that other residents stop the dryer and take out someone elses laundry even though it is not yet dry.Some people dont put their rubbish in the bin, but leave it in front of the door or by the stairs.The communal kitchen and balconies are very often left dirty and full of rubbish.The nights sleep is not observed on the balconies.Some residents are very old or do not look like students (work clothes, construction workers, etc.).It also happened a few times that teenagers or children walked around the building or sat on the balconies and were very noisy. It is unclear to me whether they simply came into the building or whether they were guests of a resident.Otherwise the dormitory would be very nice, although the apartments are very small, but sufficient for one person. The location is also very good and the view, at least from the upper floors, is very nice.

The rooms are not bad if you are lucky. For the rest there is a painful management of tenants! After almost 2 months of leaving the base I still have to see € 1 of my security deposit !! Thieves !!!

The neighbors are very unfriendly and never say hello back, they are even annoyed when someone greets them. You cant sleep, very noisy environment. The rooms are kind of dirty, I have an almost broken bed and they just dont want to fix it. the dormitory officials lied about some of the information I asked for, not everything is true. The room is fine for one person, but since everything has a new age prison feel to it all people will have enough after a maximum of 1 year. People take other peoples clothes out of the washing machine without asking and just put clean wet clothes on the dirty top of the machines. Some food was stolen from me while the cleaning ladies were working in the rooms and when I reported it I got an answer as Thank you for telling us and nothing else. Its habitable there, but for this very high price it by no means suitable.

I really enjoyed it. Room suitable for one person and comfortable.Since there are many studios, there is no way to make friends (its like living in a building on your own). However very quiet residence. But some tenants are rude as they slam the doors in the middle of the night and dont use the rubbish bin properly (which becomes disgusting). I lived in the summer months and it was really hot, but bearable with a fan. The room overlooked the garbage wash center so it was very noisy in the morning. Maintenance present but does not warn when it passes. Cleaning done by the staff upon delivery of the room and every two months not adequate!

Nights sleep is NOT observed. People often talk or scream until 2 a.m. on the balconies, listen to loud music and laugh. Due to the construction (U-shape) of the building, even distant rooms can hear everything. No attention is paid to the roommates, neither in the washing machines, in the garbage disposal (garbage bags are often put in the aisle) and in the nights rest.Otherwise the home would be very nice.

Music students are not recommended to live in the piano room that cannot be used for one year.

Practically furnished rooms, very small, but sufficient for one person.The room was clean handed.But I only give three stars because:- too little is taken care of around the house- unannounced is gone into the room (for example, to control the fire alarm)-throughout, both in summer and winter, is unbearably hot in the whole building and you can not sleep properly-the janitor in spite of multiple request just did not come-the office was never occupied, even at the specified opening hoursAll in all, you can live there, but there is much that should be improved.

The location is nice, the metro is very close. Opposite is the mall.

1-rest periods are NOT respected ...2- The doors crack at night to make you really startled and awake ...And some residents are disturbed that they do not even greet you when you greet them.3- too expensive for the above circumstance of the home.

Dormitory for students in a modern style. Everything is fine, except that the students here are not particularly sociable, in the mornings sometimes the cleaners talk loudly (specially?)

You get assigned a dirty room, the so-called installer comes and judges everything. NO! He does not judge, he only writes down the damage. There are no rest periods / parties during the week at 2am. Not recommended!

Student housing. Concrete, concrete, concrete. Could do with a little decoration and greenery.

I lived here ~ 1.5 years and I did not like this dorm (see below).Disadvantage:- I often found the garbage room dirty and stinking- Homeless people were sleeping in the home now and then- smoking and nocturnal noise in common areas (e.g., kitchens)- If you want to move out and leave your belongings for other residents, she often gets the cleaning lady (she is very nimble)- The ventilation in the bathroom was a bit too noisy for me (difficult to fall asleep) and too powerful (cold in winter)Advantages:- 2 mins walk from the subway and shopping center (Post, Spar)- Modern design (outside and inside)- (Almost) every room has a small kitchen- I never paid for the services of the caretaker (change windows, clean the drain, etc.). If something was caused because of negligence, you probably have to payP.S. If you want to ask something, just find me in Hangouts.

Not recommendable! Way too expensive for the location and facilities. The rooms are very small and there are virtually no communal facilities available. The property management is not willing to cooperate. For example, the communal kitchen was closed for one month for one person.

Die Unterkunft war sauber und das Zimmer war gut aufgeteilt. Ich hatte ein Einzelzimmer mit eigenem Bad. Das Zimmer könnte man persönlicher gestalten, wobei gerade die Küche natürlich sehr klein ist und alles ein bisschen grau in grau. Für mich war es eine super Zwischenlösung bis ich eine eigene Wohnung gefunden habe. Die Miete + die zusätzlichen Waschmaschinenkosten, wären mir auf Dauer dann doch zu viel gewesen. Die Heimleiterin Emma ist aber wirklich sehr nett und ich hatte auch keine lauten Nachbarn. Wenn man von weiter weg kommt oder nur für ein paar Monate bleiben möchte ist das Heim wirklich optimal, für länger würde ich es mir überlegen.
