The Indian Institute of Management Ranchi (IIM Ranchi) is a public business school located in Ranchi, Jharkhand, India. Being an IIM Ranchi student, I can share my own experience of staying in this beautiful residence complex. Night walks and the serene calmness adds to the beautiful green campus beauty all around. :)

The place is really awesome. Just the quality of old flats arent so gud but same cannot be said for the new one very gud ambience for morning and evening walks gates are open for every one which seems to be an issue becoz outsiders could also enter without any permission

Nice and secure place, clean and green and quiet. Loved it. Only problem being its very secluded, no shops around, no Ola comes after night.

So good place

We have 2 blocks, Block A and Block D allocated for the boys (both juniors and seniors) and different blocks for girls but all within the same area. Additionally we use few other blocks for room allocation. It is one of the most beautiful, calm places to spend your 2 years of MBA. Not having a campus hostel has its own advantages! The hostel never sleeps, be it during exams or otherwise. It provides all facilities a student can need during his/her stay there.

Natural beauty

This is where I am residing, peace and serenity would best define the place.

Pending the construction of regular campus, arrangements have been made for the hostel of IIM, Ranchi in one of the buildings constructed earlier for National Games in the National Games Housing Complex, Khelgaon. These are basically flats meant to be sold after the games. Naturally, the accommodation does not conform to the requirements of an hostel. However, given the compact building and ample open space in the complex, the students may not be minding the minor inconvenience. The IIM itself is located at another place and the students have to commute by institutes transport.

If u love peace and greenery, u will love the place. Facilities are great.

A Nice place to stay. Although the guards are not sure about the place and there are so many dogs in the surrounding (but they are harmless) the weather there is quite nice as compared to the rest of the city.

Its happening place !!!there are so many young Bubbly people moving around filling you also with new aspirations and the air crackle with energy. The Alma mater of management gurus- in- making makes Ranchi even more special a place!!!

Khelgaon is a great place to be. The hostel facilities are very good. The place has a certain rural rustic appeal to it.

The Student Block of IIM Ranchi has recently shifted to the residential block of the sports village a.k.a. Khelgaon which is located in the outskirt of Ranchi. The cool, calm and pleasant weather, lots of greenery and being away from the turmoil of the city provides a colourful and vibrant ambiance, making it ideal for student life. The housing facility at IIM Ranchi is at par with the best in the world. It consists of separate blocks for girls and boys. IIM Ranchi is one of the few institutes which have fully Wi-Fi enabled campus. The housing facility consists of a mix of three bedroom and four bedroom shared flats that are fully furnished, serviced and are installed with five star facilities. Each block consists of a mess and a canteen which remain open for nearly 20 hours a day on an average and a dispensary for medical concerns. Each floor of the block is installed with common announcement system.

Its not an IIM campus. Basically its a residential complex in which IIM RANCHI has been provided with ONE among the 23-24 Nine storeys building to be served as a Hostel. Place is nice but if you dont have any vehicle its very hard to find even a box of matchstick. Nearest place where you can actually buy anything is 2 km away. Also you wont get any public transportation options early Morning or late evening ( after 5 pm).Place is quite and nice. But there are residential buildings and that basically is problem if you are living in hostel situated in the middle of a Society of people who will definitely judge you of your actions.

This is temporary hostel for boys and girls in the National games village aka Khelgaon. It is a peaceful place to live, basic facilities are available, however there is no good restaurants in the vicinity.

The hostels are well furnished.Communication system is a bit bad. But would improve in upcoming days.However once can select cabs to reach fast.There are no shops nearby. One needs to travel atleast 2kms to get some shop.

It is situated near Khel Gaon and Museum in an open area. There is a small forest on the opposite side of hostel. A lovely place to live and enjoy.

Situated in Khelgaon Housing Complex, Ranchi, the IIM Ranchi boys hostel is equipped with all modern facilities including gym, music room, WiFi, night canteen etc. Students occupy single room of 3BHK or 4BHK flats. Mess facility is also available that provides food four times in a day.

It is green and virtually pollution free environment and natural beauty and healthy living in Khelgaon Ranchi Jharkhand .

This place was initially used as homage to the khelgaon employees. The khelgaon area has lots of apartments build. Many are vacant now. Since IIM Ranchi does has its own hostel facility, the students have been kept at khelgaon apartments for a temporary basis. It may become permanent in die course of time. Also there are lot of open areas around the apartments. Its all away from the city huss. Very quiet. There is a small foodcourt, which is generally crowded in the evenings
