It is located in the heart of city Good institution for Diploma , Engineering. Placement is good for Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics. Infrastructure has improved in last 2 years but the education is still horrible including regular classes , labs, practicals and everything . The workshop is literally ruins. You dont even know when the buildings gonna collapse . Electrical workshop is the worst , its not even should called be workshop , no equipment is there related to electrical , All covered with spider webs and dust . Machine workshop is locked up with chains and locks and they too are rusted...

I am currently studying here, and everyone is selfish here except the few ones and all are arrogant as well as non-supportive. Specially, the head of the placement cell is one of the main culprit and the principal is totally non deserving. Strongly, recommended to see some other college.

Dont take admission here. Dont go after the name Government Polytechnic. If u want degree and no knowledge then you are welcomed here. I took admission here, and it was my biggest mistake.The workshop is literally ruins. You dont even know when the buildings gonna collapse. Electrical workshop is the worst, its not even should called be workshop, no equipment is there related to electrical. All covered with spider webs and dust. Machine workshop is locked up with chains and locks and they too are rusted. Same condition as Electrical.. Spiders web everywhere. In Blacksmith section there are open furnaces, which too are corroded. The furnaces were never lit for decades i guess because where we put coal, small plants have grown there. And believe me it wont be even lit up, so forget about being a blacksmith, when there is no furnace how can you heat up the metal !!!. Then comes the Carpentry section. As the name suggest carpentry related to wood, you cant even find a single thing of carpentry. Fitting section is just for name, nothing is done there. In Welding section you cant find anything, its empty . Nothing is there.At first I was very excited to work in the workshop but when I came to know about these things and the conditions, I got very disappointed.Whats the use doing POLYTECHNIC when you are not even taught these technical things. Polytechnic is a Technical Degree. When you are not even taught TECHNICAL skills here, what the use of studying here ?

Awesome Environment with good infra & faculties. Seniors are very helpful & supportive.. A place where you feel as home....i was here from 2007-2010....learnt so many things from here
