Its ancient and great a cave is but the surrounding is not that great and not clean , there is swimming pool like place and its really without water and all small creatures are in that, but the cave is beautiful and the coldness in that is very calm and enchanted.

Very good place to see. Photography and videography is not allowed inside Jambuvati cave which has ways towards Dwarka and Junagarh. CCTVs are fitted at many points inside cave. You can go inside cave slowly for safety norms.

ANCIENT PLACE THIS CAVE IS FAMOUS FOR LORD KRISHNA PERIOD DWAPARAYUG

Jambavan cave is located at village named Ranavav, 17 km from Porbandar, off Rajkot-Porbandar highway. Inside the cave there are many svyambhu (self-manifested) siva-lingas.Place where Jambavan lived. Both Jambavan and Lord Sri Krishna fought here for 28 days for Shyamataka jewel, when Jambavan finally realized that the person he is fighting with is the Lord of his heart, Lord Krishna who is non-different from Lord Rama. Lord Krishna then out of His causeless mercy to His dear-devotee showed His form of Lord Rama.Later Jambavan offers Shyamataka jewel and his daughter to Lord Sri Krishna.

Very good natural placeThis cave is located at Ranavav taluka of Porbandar distirct, near Suarashtra cement factory. It’s located almost 15 Km away from Porbandar city.This is cave where Jambuvan know worrier of Ramayana age was residing. He was born in satyuga and seen Treta yug and Dwaper waiting for Krishna Avatar. He found diamond of precious value which was given for playing to her daughter Jambuvati. Lord Krishna was in search for same diamond which was taken away from one king by lion and reached to Jambuvan after lion was killed by Jambuvan. Lord Krishna fought with Jambuvan and ultimately him cam e to know that Krishna is nothing but same Lord Ram. He bowed to Lord and given away diamond and her doughter to Krishna with marriage with him. This jambuvan cave is situated near Ranavav town in Porbander district in Gujarat state India. There is deep cave and small light source of sun. Inside there is Shiv ling made by sand when water falls from roof of cave. We can see nature carving too. Outside cave there is Lord Shiva temple and Samadhi of Guru Ramdasji who did Tapsya there.

AMAZING CAVE RELATED TO A STORY FROM THE EPIC RAMAYAN. QUITE INTERESTING. AS A VERY NARROW, SLIPPERY STAIR WELL IS AVAILABLE FOR ENTRY AND EXIT, ELDERLY PEOPLE CANT GO INSIDE. TEMPLE AND AN INN WERE UNDER CONSTRUCTION WHEN I VISITED. I HOPE THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN COMPLETED BY NOW. DO VISIT IF YOU ARE GOING TO CITY OF PORBANDAR. YOU HAVE TO GIVE 1.5 TO 2 HRS EXTRA AS ITS OFF THE HIGHWAY.

Lacking public transport might be the biggest hurdle in development of being a great tourist spot for the place. It is situated near Hathi cement factory. The place along with the cave having big garden which makes environment pleasant and cool. One temple is also situated inside the campus full of wall locks with typical tik tok sounds. Cave has its own history and you will enjoy to listen it from the Mahant and staff engaged there. Prashad is pleasure to have.Must visit and great potential to be developed.

It was a really good experience. Going to Jambuvanti caves from Dwarka, then hearing about a cave/tunnel below the land(Cave of Jambuvan, the bear). We heard the story of Lord Krishna marrying Jambuvanti(daughter of Jambuvan) and how it came to be because of Syamataka Mani. The past-times of Lord Krishna in the were very enticing and I felt very excited visiting this place. It was a laughter riot when I learned that the presence of Syamataka Mani had caused some production of gold in the area, and the local govt. In a futile effort to look for it were mining the place around it😂It is also said that Jambuvan, the bear who fought with Lord Ram is one of the Chirangeevis ; meaning they shall live until this world ends.Why cant they leave something so good and historic alone?

While the weather is hot and scorching outside the caves, there are icicles formed inside the cave from which droplets of water falls on to the sand within the cave forming Shiva Linga at all the places where it drops. The sand inside the cave glitters like gold dust scattered all over the place. A place that has a great Mythological Legend attached to it. The Vibes are great inside the cave and very ideal for intense meditation. There is an underground passage all the way to Beyt Dwarka (but venturing into it is not allowed). An amazing place to visit.
