One of the cleanest station on West Bengal. House keeping stuff are continuously doing there job to keep clean the platform. Officials are also helpful. Need more police man out side the station. According to my observation some group of biker are not good for outsiders.

Rampurhat railway junction is situated in the district of Birbhum, West Bengal, very near to Tarapith temple(about 12km from Rampurhat), a famous siddhapith. It is near to Santiniketan(60km), Brakeshwar thermal power plant(60km), Nalhateswari temple at Nalhati(17km), Nandikeshwari temple at Sainthia(22km), Mouliksha temple at Moluti(20km). It is junction for to Dumka. There is a secret aerodome of British rule at Surichua which is at 10km away from rampurhat.

The gateway to enter tarappith. Many people avail Tarapith road station but according to me its the closest one to reach the nodal point.The station looks like Tarapith temple, great work of construction. Auto rickshaws are available, it can be availed either on share or reserved. Fare is quite reasonable, ₹50/person and reserve is around ₹200 to ₹300.

Station is good spacious. Newly constructed wating room for upper class Passengers is clean but Mosquitoes are ruling the show.Retiring Rooms should be available for common passengers. Staffs should be well spoken like Southern Railway.Mike announcement is worse. Railway should train stuffs how to announce.

A busy and important junction station have no good public facilities. No good rest room, very narrow foot over bridge in between platfoms, no fooding accomodation, no parking, no toilet. Only one reservation counter. Railway authority should look into the matters.
