Great atmosphere the location size architecture wow words cant express. Its an engineering marvel which our ancestors were able to achieve long back when other continents were still primitive. The statues the carving texture finishing all fabulous. The beauty of the temple is the corridor which has thousands of pillars and they meet at a DOT. AMAZING. A must visit temple where everyone should go atleast once. The diety is adorable. The temple has about 20 wells inside the complex which is unique here. Twenty-two of the Tirthas are within the Rāmanāthasvāmī Temple.[ The number 22 indicates the 22 arrows in Ramas quiver. The first and major one is called Agni Theertham, the sea (Bay of Bengal).There are 22 theerthams in the form of a pond and a well.

Very very big temple . Awesome, amazing and grandiose . 1212 pillars. One of the 12 Jyotirlings. Clean and pious atmosphere . A trans like experience. Local priest/guide was also a thorough gentleman that is rare to find at such a pilgrimage place. One of the holiest places pf Sanatan Dharm. Surrounding markets offer some really good Food stalls offering all kind of Indian , Chinese and continental cuisine .

All the theerthams are closed and so devotees can not take bath now.This is a magnificent temple and must visit place. The parking area is aweful and it is a frustrating experience to find one. The roads around temple are pathetic and town administration should develop this. There are many touts but one need not have to hire one.

We visited Rameshwaram by car from Delhi In November 2020. The drive on Pamban bridge was one the best experience in my life. This was my second visit to Rameshwaram, the first one was 22 years ago. We stayed at Goswami Mutt in Rameshwaram. It is one of the best and cheapest places to stay in Rameshwaram. The temple is usually empty nowadays due to Corona and you can have a darshan in just 10 minutes. The temple is situated just next to seashore. There are lots of hotels and Dharmshala near temple where you can get accommodation from 500 rupees to 2500 rupees depending on your budget. The food is quite cheap and the tea served in most of places is prepared in a classic south Indian way and people from north India will definitely cherish the taste of the tea. The weather is moderate through out the year. Do try out the Vada Sambhar served in various food stalls behind the temple. It is said that brining Ganga water and pouring it on the Shivlinga washes out the sins and pleases Lord Shiva immensely. This is one the four dhams which one must visit in his or her life time. The beach is just one minute walk from the temple. The temple is managed very well. Do visit it once in a life time.

Punniya sthalam for Hindus. In the northern India we have varanasi, in the southern part of India extreme end is Rameswaram temple. People perform last rites for departed souls here, there are naazhi kinaru (well) one must take bath to complete the rituals. During weekends temple is closed because of this pandemic.
