Great location in Rambha. Food taste is very good. Has bar also, but not promote drinking, which is also a good sign. There are two types of AC rooms, for couples, the tile bigger one is preferred, the one I stayed with family has great lake view from first floor. The water pressure in bathroom is bit low, but manageable. Boat ride option is excellent , at extra charge according to menu. Helps to get contacts with car walas for local tours

Room conditions are very unhygienic and inhabitable. everywhere water seepage, sewage pipe inside the room, algae on the walls.food is the worst. people who have posted about good food here have probably never tasted even normal food in their life. it is simply SCAM by Odisha government and OTDC just in the name of a good location.

The place has a nice to stay environment. The room are quite spacious and had a great stay here. The location that is near the lake makes it more enjoyable. The balcony view is quite nice too.

The food was saltless , if you order a dish it takes 1 hour for them to give it to uh but the best part is it take additional 1 hour just to give them your order . I wish Google had option of zero star . Dont waste your time to go their rather have some cheap food in roadside dhaba . Card machine is show piece and be ready with phone pay only phone pay . Come on now , noth else is left to make the experience worst .

No doubt a place to visit. Beautiful. OTDC has done a wonderful job on the stay. The food quality is really very bad. Despite repeated requests there was no marked improvement. Travel with caution but do go. Food is not everything.

The hotel location is fantastic, rooms are very big and well furnished, the restaurant in the hotel is bit slow in serving the orders, maybe due to understaffed. But I will prefer to stay here again only because of its location to enjoy the beauty of Chilka.

Rooms are pathetic. Not properly maintained. Air conditioners and fans do not work. Webs algae everywhere in the walls. Useless staff. Horrible food. Prefer staying in your car than staying at this place.

Its lovely place...on of the finest property of OTDC in Orissa. But felt staffs are demotived as they fear the properly would be privatized and they would loose job. The hospitality needs to improve to attract outside prison/foreigner tourists

Location wise it is very good, we were in cottages, try asking for cottage 3 as that probably has the best possible view of the lake.Food was so so, nothing much to say.Staffs were cordial and helpful, specially Ashish. He helped me to book the car as well.Now the negatives ☹️The rooms and bathroom were big and spacious, but the problem was it wasnt clean. Chair, table, almirah, windows, even bed had spider webs, even cobwebs. Table tops were also very dirty. We had to clean table tops ourselves, and had to ask room service to clean the room again. They did some jharu-pochha and then the room became livable. Room was full of mosquitoes, spiders and millipedes as well.Possibly it was not being used for quite some time and expecting it to be better soon.Unfortunately this time, 3rd week of September, the lake was very smelly. When checked with locals they said it was due to wind and rains, the algae started rotting, and again it is expected to go away in couple of months.

Huge property but clearly shows poor maintenance. Staffs are very well managed and helpful. Hosts a basic restaurant. Crab and fresh fish fry worth trying from their menu.

Pls dnt go with the pics. Worst experience. Room service guys r soooo lazy. Too many insects no mosquito repellent provided. Foods not at all good. Not at all maintained place. Pls check some other place. Totally disappointed.

This hotel in Rambha has an in house restaurant.Panthanivas is located at a distance of 160 m from Birds Island and approximately 1 km away from Chilika Lake.There are 17rooms spread across 2 floors that have view from the balcony

Rooms are specious but AC is not working properly. Food is ok but the room service is not good due to lack of stuff.

Improve more and more this tourist attraction place

Not maintained at all. Too costly. In the balcony where was algae and seepage everywhere. AC was making terrible noise and didnt cool the room properly. Cottage might have been better option, but was pricey. Food in the restaurant is ok, but fish menu is so-so. Somehow i didnt like the staff behavior.

If you visit Chilika but did not visit this place then you will miss best sinic views.

Rambha OTDC is located beside Chilka lake. This area is huge and has parking facilities. Food quality is good. Cottages are well planned and in a very good location. One can feel the atmosphere and the serenity of the place. In morning, different types of birds can be seen here. The stuffs are well mannered and helpful.

A nicely sited property, which could have been better maintained and run. The food was good although the restaurant staff was NOT very friendly.

I did not like the restaurant at all because the food was not having salt and they just took to long to make the food and they even did not give us salads

Nice place to hangout

We had gone to Rambha and stayed here 3 years ago , the place is situated in a great location as it is near the Chilika lake , the food was not too good . The rooms were very spacious and it was also very clean and the staffs were very polite and they behaved very nicely to the customers . I had gone with my family and it was a good experience in this hotel.

Hotel is huge.But as every government property , it has same story.Except few, 1 or 2 all employees think they are owners , they dont hear you even straight , room service is very Bad, cleanness is just fine . Dogs everywhere in hotels.

PANTHANIVAS by Odisha govt. Tourism Department. Travelling towards Odisha is always special. The govt is always dedicated towards tourism. They built this panthanivas near Chilka Lake which turns the tourists attractive towards this place. The Panthanivas at Rambha is just beside the lake, you can watch Sunrise here, this is so much pleasant to eyes...The garden is nicely maintained.★ Rooms are ok but should be more clear from the view points of the rent they take.★ Non Ac rooms are quite good for the view of sunrise.★ Ac rooms are too much big and nice for Couple.★ Every room has a special balcony.★ all the facilities are provided in the bathrooms.★ no restrictions for Alcohol.

Horrible experience @Odisha Tourism Panthanivas in Rambha. While travelling from Bangalore to Bhubaneswar we stopped at the Panthanivas in Rambha. Then things started to fall apart. The staff at the restaurant were not even following the basic Covid Safety protocol of wearing masks or using sanitizers. Some of the staff members even removed chairs from the table in which were about to sit. The food order didnt come after almost 45 minutes and we left the place hungry and disgusted.On the contrary, we then went to the @Odisha With Swosti chilika resort where they went above and beyond and arranged food for us even though the restaurant was closed due the time.

This place is Rambha View point and just behind the OTDC Panthaniwas campus. We stayed in panthaniwas and the campus is really great. Very big rooms - you can play cricket inside the room.Cottages are tooo big. Even bigger than a 1bhk full size apartment.Food is served at restaurant and the quality is good too. Free breakfast is for all rooms except non-ac.We loved this place.

Nice place for weekend trip or for the resting place/one light halt if you are on a long road trip from kolkata through the east coast. Moderately maintained with a big premises for your kids to play around.If anyone wants a true Chilika lake oriented trip then Panthanivas Barkul is better option than this.

Most beautiful place

Since this was a government made hotel it was decent and the room were all pretty full. The washrooms werent really good but considering that it was run but the government the rooms and the service is good. The restaurant is really hygienic and the whole place was not really a let down. There are no luxuries compared to what other hotels provide. The hot water in the washrooms was not even close hot. But if you want to save money and live cheap this is a good place to stay.

Such a beautiful property but so ill maintained. Got a very shady bar with very limited alcohol options. You can hire local boats for a serene chills lake visit, if you are luck you may see some dolphins. This place.is very secluded. Perfect destination for peace.

Dont about staying there for long but poor service and worse food consider have your meal outside..... Here more price no taste feels like junk...

We went there to take the boat ride. The government boat doesnt have roof. So it was very hot under the extreme Odisha sun. Better to go with private boats. Private boats are only slower in speed.

Infrastructure is overall good. But service is slow and does not meet expectation. Food is not consistent. At times really poor. View is good from 1st floor of the main building. Best from the Non-AC rooms. Avoid taking rooms 205 to 207- worst view.

Great place for holidaying , you can get a beautiful view of Chilika lake

The first impression you get from this place is the sense of space! The rooms and corridors are huge! Rooms and bathrooms are very clean and well maintained with all amenities. Nice view of the lake from the balcony.Gardens would look much nicer with better maintenance. Food is average. Staff members were cordial.There is a nice pier just behind the panthanivas where one can sit and relax and enjoy the beach. Boats are available at ₹1200-1500 for a tour of 3-4 small nearby islands. Overall had a good experience.

The entrance looked fine but the hotel had pathethic ambience and stinks!! Does not deserve a 🌟. Apparently its popular among locals for boating.

Good otdc panthanivas hotel. On the bank of the lake. Good food, rooms and staff.

Stayed at Cottage. Good serene outdoors. But out of total 6 cottages, only 2 are refurbished and the other 4 are not so and have so signs of wear and tear. The best part is they are very spacious and a couple will feel alone staying overnight. Around a family of 10 members can stay in a cottage with its large drawing room, bed room and large toilet. Some part of the boundary wall bordering Rambha town has barbed wiring and needs to have walls to ward of curious onlookers invading privacy.
