If you are visiting the northern part of Bangladesh,then you must try a local delicacy of Chapainawabganj and Rajshahi which is called Kalai Roti(Kalai bread).Its made with Kalai Dal/Urad Dal in hindi. Accompanied by spicy mashed eggplant and raw onion most of the time.Enjoyed it. Not too good but nice flavorsome snacks.😊They have several more items like chicken lotpoti,mutton heart fry,etc. But I would only suggest the Kalai Roti.If you cant take spice then you should avoid that mashed eggplant in #Harghe_Kalai Restaurant. Would suggest fellow travelers to try it while you are here in Rajshahi.

Kalai bread is one of Rajshahis most popular foods. Which is made of kalai. Its a lot of fun. It can be eaten with any bag you have. However, according to the locals, it is much more delicious to eat with eggplant rice. So dont miss this meal when you go to Rajshahi. #localguides #letsguide
