The most amazing vacation of my life. The fish were unbelievably gorgeous and, if I only had one more vacation to take in my life, I’d go to Misool. As it turns out, I am going back in 2023 - hoping the world will cooperate and Misool makes it through this awful time. It’s a treasure and the conservation work they do contributes to the world’s wellbeing.

The first resort on Misool, approximately more than 15 years on this bussiness. Wonderful place, they keep the natural form as much as they could besides their magnificent woodcrafts on building and facilities. Here, you can see some good beach, like South Beach, or feed blacktip sharks and red snapper on their strait. If you lucky, you can also feed some Napoleon fish. This resort also has local NGO, called Basevtin, base on local people of Misool for help government to keep and guard Misool rich ecosystem from illegal activities.

By far the best diving I’ve seen in 30 years of scuba. Cleverly and passionately protected reefs. A beacon of hope and a lesson to other dive destinations. The resort’s lovely too!

Let me first do some expectation management: you are getting a five star diving of snorkeling experience that will leave you awestruck. This at the end of the world is what you are paying for.You are still getting quite the accommodation and experience in the resort but if you are expecting a polished 5star resort for your money, you might be disappointed. The accommodation is quite nice, simple but always clean and tidy. The bathroom is outside but due to the lack on insect absolutely no problem.Food is plentiful, for lunch you get a platter with plenty of vegetables for dinner you have the choice of a special fish and a la carte.Diving happens in groups and you can go 4 times a day off you like. Guides are super friendly.

Beautiful resort in south Raja Ampat, its foundation protects a no-take zone twice the size of Singapore. Turtles, mantas, schools of fish... lovely staff, yummy food, perfect relaxion in and out of the water. Incomparable.

I would give my trip 10 stars if I could! We went in a group of 5 friends all the way from the US East Coast. We all have traveled extensively to the corners of the world and concluded the trip to Misool was our best holiday yet.First, I want to give a shout out to the South Beach. We found the private beach tranquil and secluded, a fit especially for a group like us. The hike was indeed short but strenuous as communicated via email but its not a problem for us at all. The water taxi was a short walkie-talkie message away and very convenient. It was extremely romantic to ride the water taxi back after dinner with a sky full of stars looking above, and a beach illuminated by bio-luminescent creatures looking down.Accommodation was rustic but very comfortable and clean. Meals were particularly up our alley as the ingredients were simple, locally-sourced and fresh; food extremely flavorful, and oh my goodness, the service! We were overwhelmed by the friendliness and competence of the restaurant staff. This applies to the entire Misool team, from the restaurant staff to the housekeeping, to the diving/snorkeling guides, to the SPA ladies, to the boat motorists. We could feel everyone was genuinely happy with what they were doing.Diving and snorkeling were out of the world. You just see so much. One of us got his Open Water certification at Misool. I told him its only going downhill from there. Whats equally impressive was how professionally the diving center was run. Each person had a work station to organize your cameras, diving computer, diving logs, etc. Hot shower and clean dry towels felt great after each amazing dive. There were half-day or full-day excursions among many other activities such as cooking class, kayaking, paddling, hiking to lagoons, etc. organized by the Misool team. No chance of getting bored even if you dont dive. They were also very flexible with changes if you decided not to go.Finally, what really touched me personally was the great effort Misool put into conservation, ocean protection, and local community engagement, which you could learn from multiple presentations and behind-the-scene tour. Working in the field of clean energy in developing countries, I am generally skeptical, but the growing number of species in the sea and the eco-friendly operation we witnessed on the ground attest to Misools achievement.

We recently enjoyed Misool during a 9+1 day stay at this absolutely amazing island location. The short of it is that it has been one of the best travel experiences of our lives if not the outright winner. This is due to the amazing staff, accommodations, and SCUBA diving experiences by which I will judge all other dives.First off, just getting to the island is an adventure unto itself. But the difficulty in getting there is part of the adventure and is what helps keep this place isolated from the throngs of other tourists that can overwhelm other resort areas. The last leg of the journey consists of a 4 hour ferry on a very nice, large boat that is owned by Misool where they provide refreshments and light snacks during the voyage through the beautiful scenery of the Ceram Sea.The resort island itself is very beautiful with ~15 spacious bungalows and these are split among two lagoons such that they are very spread out and the beaches are very quiet. All meals are included in the price of the stay and the excellent quality was something that consistently surprised us. Being so remote we arrived with managed expectations but these were always exceeded due to the variety and flavor of the various meals which tended to be heavily influenced by Indonesian and other Asian cuisines. The snorkeling and SCUBA diving is perhaps the main attraction to this part of the world, and I cannot imagine a better experience that what is on offer at Misool. The pristine corals, and the diversity and density of other marine life is absolutely staggering. The quality of the dive center operations, the boats, and the entire staff is incredibly top-notch and extremely safe. In particular I loved how you are assigned to a specific boat, dive guide, and dive group which remains fixed for the entire length of the stay. I really felt like this helped the experience feel well organized, on time, but very relaxed. In general, the entire staff at the island is amazing. Not only the dive center crew, but everyone in the restaurant, the cleaning staff, and the management team are always friendly, welcoming, and extremely attentive. In particular I loved how the island is almost exclusively staffed by Indonesian locals which I see as just one of the many ways in which Misool commits to the growth and development of the local population and its economy.Further to that point, it was truly wonderful to see how Misool operates with a sense of being a good corporate citizen (my words not theirs). I see the way that they have established a marine preserve, employ local people, and partner with the traditional land owners in all of their projects as a model that so many other resorts and tourism locations should study. All in all, this place is unique and special. I genuinely hope that I can return some day.

A very beautiful resort, really grateful to get the opportunity to stay here.So I came here because I got a lottery from AQUA with prizes for a trip to Raja Ampat, I am very happy that I can invite my Mamah and my Father too.So to get here it takes 4 hours from the port of Sorong using a speed boat.Incidentally I got a room that is in the south at the top of the corner of the shop, complete facilities have air conditioning, but when staying here I am reminded not to use excessive AC, go green, the book here is good. The breakfast is complete, the menu is varied, the menu is unique too, the dinner is also very good.Paid wifi here. Here you can see the tame sharks, the fish are also milling about a lot, the pokos are really beautiful. The staff is also very friendly you know.Hopefully next time you can stay here again.

Misool Eco Resort (MER) is one of the most impressive resorts in the Raja Ampat district on the island of Batbitim. Travel 4 hours using a speed boat from the port of Sorong to Stay for 3 days 2 nights here is very charming memories.Resorts that have a concept of back to non-permanent nature have more than enough facilities (Full AC). Stretch of white sand in front of the restaurant with clear sea water so that it can be used to play with a passing baby shark.Indonesian food is very delicious, room for 2 people per room is very comfortable ... I want to stay for 1 week here ... Good

Many diving spots ... we can even see the black tip reef shark from the bungalow veranda ... or sometimes there is a turtle that rises to the surface ... once once there was a manta that showed itself in front of the home jetty ...The difficulty of resorts on remote islands is fresh water ... even though it uses water maker, it still cannot meet the resorts needs for fresh water ...Perfect for couples who want to honeymoon ... but remember, the rate is dollars ...
