Apshinges school gets international status ...Nagthane: The name of the primary school at Apshinge (Military, Tal. Satara), which is known as a village of soldiers, will now spread far and wide. This school has gained international status. This performance will be a boon to the education sector of the district.The state government has decided to set up 100 schools of international standard to meet the challenges of the 21st century and provide international standard education to the students of the state. In that connection, the school in Apashinge has taken a big leap by fulfilling the required criteria.Due to the international standards, radical changes will be made in the education system here from the coming academic year. This course will be taught from kindergarten to third standard. The school will also have trained teachers to provide international education. This will make it possible for students from rural areas to get international standard education. Education Officer Prabhavati Kolekar, Group Education Officer Sanjay Dhumal, Extension Officer Jayshree Gurav, Center Head Ramchandra Gaikwad congratulated the teachers and students. Currently three hundred students are studying. The school has raised about Rs 50 lakh in the last five years. The school management committee had taken 60 students on a direct flight to Bangalore.
