We celebrated my daughters bridal shower at APERITIF BISTRO and were 100% satisfied, Good food, great staff and lovely location what more could you want. I recommend it for your party. Their second floor room is beautiful!

Came to Aperitif Bistro last weekend for brunch to celebrate my best friends birthday. Parking was difficult to find around the area because its by Bell Boulevard, but we were seated immediately once inside on a Saturday at noon. Love the ambience inside Aperitif!The mini croissants before our main course were perfectly flaky. For brunch, my friends ordered the dishes with eggs (eggs benedict & eggs bourguignon), while I tried the seafood salad. The seafood salad was mostly calamari, with some pieces of shrimp and scallops, a piece of lobster, and a bit of lettuce. It came with a small slice of lemon, which wasnt enough for the bowl. I felt like the seafood salad was lacking in flavor, as it didnt come with any dressing. However, my friends enjoyed their eggs benedict and eggs bourguignon dishes, as they all finished their plates.During the cake part of our brunch, the staff were friendly and accommodating, gathering in a group and singing happy birthday to the birthday girl. Our nice waiter neatly cut the cakes into slices and packed the rest up to go without hesitation. Everything was handled efficiently and we enjoyed having cake and brunch at Aperitif!

Out of the blue, my wife and I decided to try somewhere we havent before. And it was Aperitif that popped up. Dim lighting, ambient music, perfect date location.Everything was going great. The server was really attentive and always saw to us. We ordered their grilled octopus as our appetizer. Then she had the Osso Buco and I ordered their lobster roll.Their version of the lobster roll was quite unique in which there were slices of apple in the sandwich. Their osso buco tasted great, the meat fell off the bone and the risotto was tasty.We were enjoying ourselves up to the point that we found something in the Osso Buco that wasnt supposed to be there. Unfortunately, it ruined our date there. The server was very sorry and offered us something else if we were up to it. But we just simply asked for the check, and left.

Romantic atmosphere makes this restaurant an excellent spot for a romantic date night. Food is tasty and the pork osso buco was fall-off-the-bone tender, not an easy feat to accomplish. The service is friendly and welcoming. No parking lot or valet but plenty of parking space on the street.

Had my bridal shower booked here for June. We postponed it to January in April. Shortly after, they “temporarily closed” and has my deposit. My wedding got postponed again and they have been completely unavailable from May. The phone just goes to busy dial. Absolutely horrible customer service!!! I still do not have my deposit from them. My shower was supposed to be next week and clearly that was never happening. Didn’t even have the decency to call and tell me they closed. Even made a claim with better business bureau. Not right!!!!

Delicious French cuisine in the area! I came right when they opened for lunch on a Friday and was seated immediately. There were so many tables inside and the decor was really nice, making you feel like youre in a high-end restaurant. The service was good but the food did take a while to come to the table.We ordered the fried calamari, mussels in white wine sauce, chorizo flatbread (which comes with a side salad and fries), pignoli-nut crusted scallops, steak frites, and the cavatelli and filet mignon. Everything was really tasty, especially the scallops! The steak was big and a bit dry. It was also more cooked than I preferred. They also have tasty flatbreads that I would recommend as well.Overall, good service with yummy food and a nice atmosphere.

I went here for happy hour. Half price beers and we were lucky to get free oysters and shots of vodka. Garett the bartender was a great bartender and was always there when we wanted more beverages.

I came here for my moms birthday and we were seated upstairs which was perfect. Not too loud and very roomy for any party event.For starters we had the calamari and aperitif cheese plate, out of the cheese and charcuterie choices, I think my favorite was the truffle cheese. The warm baguettes were a nice touch, worked great with the cheeses. The calamari was a bit greasy and didnt really have a crunch.As for main courses, I ordered the chicken coq au vin and my wife ordered the salmon. I thought the chicken was delicious but slightly over salted while the salmon was perfect. The ossobucco was also delicious as was the snapper. The portions here also quite hefty so you do get a nice amount of food per order.On top of everything, the waiter was very friendly and quick to help.

We met with friends at this spot for lunch. we heard about this place from a lot of people. Well, it was a winning. The crew were extremely nice and we had a great feeling. The food was just great. We had a great time and we will definitely return to this restaurant. We recommend this place to all.

The food was incredible!! My husband and I went for Valentines Day dinner so they had a special menu with plenty of options. The only advice Id give would be regarding the ambiance. We felt like the lights shouldve been dimmer for dinner time and the music couldve been different from alternative rock. I love the design of the place but its details like these that wouldve made the experience even better especially on a night like Valentines. Aside from that, we really enjoyed the dinner. Well keep coming back!

This place is definitely one of the finest place to eat in the neighborhood. Anytime I go there I am so satisfied. They keep their very high standard service and the highest level of food they give. You no doubt will love this restaurant. Highly recommended.

If you like french food you could try this place. I didnt like that I ordered a glass of red wine but the waiter suggested a different one which at the end of dinner I saw was more expensive. Its a snug place where if its 2 people you will be able to hear other couples conversation. Also ordered one dessert and we were given only one spoon. Waiter didnt think that maybe other person may want a taste? I wasnt impressed to go back again.

Had small plates and dinner tonight that were amazing!Calamari was crisp, zucchini pancakes fabulous- so fresh and well seasoned.The hazelnut salmon and sole almondine were perfectly prepared, and the duck breast done to medium rare perfection!Service was attentive yet subtle.Couldn’t have been happier that we chose this charming place for a Holiday outing.

Such a lovely, intimate restaurant! I had wanted to go there for a while. The food and the service were fantastic! Everyone was so nice. Their cocktails were delicious as well. I would try the appetizer of the Chipotle chicken balls they are fantastic.

Great spot for date night and for Sunday brunch. I always have a good experience here. Atmosphere is great, staff is kind and helpful. Im a fan of getting a bunch of appetizers to share and the small muscle pot portion. Makes for a great meal and you leave feeling not overly stuffed.

Wanted to come here for a while. They have valet parking that eliminates looking for parking. Looking forward to some French food to bring back memories from visiting France. All was good til I met the male waiter with the earrings. My wife tried to order items off a blackboard posting specials. He would not comply and stated that we must only use the menu. So we ordered off the menu and I requested bread and water. He commented that that was not his job. Another man came and gave us water and a piece of bread. I tried to get the waiter to come back so we can order the rest of our order but he refused to come by. He took only our appetizers and drink order. Two of our three appetizers showed up. The escargot came and I asked for bread to enjoy it. Never came. Another person came and by the time they brought the bread the escargot was cold. ! I asked this new waitress where our meat and cheese board was. She tried to expedite this order to my surprise this was the worse I ever seen for $25 this had a few ounces of meet and cheese. Maybe good for one person!The entrees were excellent as well as the calamari.I would definitely stay away from their meat and cheese board and if you need bread, I suggest you buy some at the local bakery.The bill came and to my surprise the bill had a few items missing and I assumed it was for all our aggravation. I paid the bill and provided a nice tip. As I am walking out I am told by another person that I paid the wrong bill! So my party stood their while I was waiting for the ‘real’ bill. The woman provide me with an additional bill that had the few items that I assumed were comped and another meat and cheese platter! Obviously I refused that part and felt embarrassed by their incompetence to provide proper service. What a beautiful New Years dinner. I gave three stars because a majority of the food was great even though this place ruin our experience.

Ambiance is nice and staff very friendly but the food isnt as good as it used to be. Beef Bourguignon tasted like a frozen dinner, Chicken in Coq Au Vin was dry. The best thing on menu is the Mussels in red or white sauce. Zucchini pancakes yummy as well.

There was only one other table and waiter was very unenthusiastic . A smile can make you feel welcome, and paying attention to the bell from the kitchen could have helped us get our food sooner. Went for mothers day. The food is average for BellBlvd. The prices are very competitive for this area. I was surprised. For some reason the restaurant on this particular day was very smokey. Im curious if its always like this. The service was good. We were checked on often. I would go back.

I went to this restaurant with a large group for brunch to celebrate a friends birthday. I cant, therefore, describe what a dinner for four might be like. But lunch for 14 went pretty well: The wait for service was reasonable given the small size of the place, our server was courteous and attentive, and the food was pretty good. Everything tasted freshly made.I would have preferred slightly larger portions and more variety in their brunch menu, but since I was not paying for this shindig, who am I to quibble?

Ill be back..... friendly, great with my kids. Not cheap but really good food on our first visit which was at lunch time. Clean and nice atmosphere. Small banquet room upstairs. Front bar area good size and nice hang out area if youre looking for just drinks even.

Last week was the first time in this fine restaurant. But It is obviously not the last time. We enjoyed the evening a lot with the courteous service, with the excellent meal and wine and with the friendly price. We will surely visit there in a short time.

Ive had much better fillet mignon elsewhere, they dont serve cocktail drinks, and theres absolutely no parking. Their desserts are really great. All in all, the food is good but not worth their prices.

Been sitting at my table for two and a half hours...hour 3 is quickly approaching. Appetizers took two hours and haven’t gotten a single entree yet. Spoke to the manager and only got rude responses from him. Definitely not coming back here.

This restaurant is like a little taste of Paris in. Bayside. The atmosphere remind you of a French bistro. It is somewhat crowded and claustrophobic intense to be noisy making conversation difficult. The waitstaff is pleasant and helpful. There is a wide variety of food including of course French onion soup. There are many appetizers such as little neck clams and shrimp. The food is tasty with European and American specialties, although it is a little on the higher-priced side. Entrees include include branzino, duck, filet mignon, branzino. Prices range from 18 to $35 per entree. theres an upstairs area which is probably for parties. There are several dessert options though there is a French bakery just down the block. This is a pleasant restaurant for families or for a romantic dinner.

Valentines dinner. First they brought us the wrong main dish and skipped our appetizer, then said the appetizer would take too long and if we just wanted our entree instead... one hour later we got our entree... Food was good at least but everything tastes better when you are starving. Blame it on the busy day or something else, I dont think this is acceptable any day of the year.

The restaurant far exceeded our expectations. The food was excellent; I dont know why it isnt always booked solid (maybe because we went on a Wednesday at 6:30). The kitchen service was a bit slow but it might have just been because it was so early and the whole staff wasnt there when we arrived. So Im debating giving a 4 star rating.I recommend pacing yourself with appetizers (they call them small plates) because as a party of 5 we split oysters, the best escargot Ive ever had, and steak tartare. We were full by the time our main courses came.It was a plate-licking experience.

I went for a birthday dinner and I was very impressed! The scallops were perfectly cooked. There is a pretty good beer selection and I like that you can come here for a nice night out or a casual family dinner. The only complaint that I have is that the waitresses and management could be more strict about customer behavior. This is a family friendly restaurant and the workers accommodate family needs. However, kids shouldnt be running around and sticking their noses into other peoples hairs. There was both parent and management responsibility to maintain the restaurant safety and experience. All in all, I cant wait to come here again!

Good (so-called) French restaurant overall. I have been there several times and most of what Ive tried was good. Great risotto (I know, weird for a French place, isnt it?). The only thing I would not recommend are the escargots. Its usually all in the sauce and they could not pull it off.The place is on the expensive side and typically loud.Sept 2018 UPDATE - The food quality has gone down quite a bit. Even the croque monsieur wasnt that great anymore. Their cook may have changed.

Nice atmosphere and the food was great except two meals were served way too undercooked. These had to be returned to the kitchen twice ruining the good time we were having. The manager was no help what so ever, shrugging his shoulders and saying that the lamb was prepared the way it was ordered, which it was not. On a busy Saturday night things happen but this is not the way to run a restaurant. We will never return to any of this groups restaurants.

Nice little place in Bayside. The staff was very nice. It is a quiet spot to enjoy lunch.

Been here many times and always had an excellent meal. But last nights was terrible. The steak tartare tasted like cooked chopped meat. I had the lamb chops also, which were so tough that they were basically inedible. It will be a very long time before I go back. Ill have to get the memory of that horrible meal out of my head

Came here for lunch with 14 co-workers for a birthday brunch. Its a great place to celebrate any event or if youre looking for a good restaurant for a night out. We had made reservations beforehand and were seated immediately. A couple of us took advantage of the bottomless brunch ($18pp) , I personally didnt drink, but my coworkers raves about their peach bellinis and mimosas.Food wise, we ordered the mussels, lobster rolls, French onion sandwiches, prosciutto flat bread, crepes, eggs Benedict, and steak + eggs. We were given bread short after ordering, which was great since we were starving.We ordered one serving of mussels to share between three people and those that didnt like mussels loved the ones we had! We ordered the mussels in white wine and garlic. The sauce was amazing!!!! Perfect to eat with bread or pasta!! The juices from the fresh mussels mixed with the wine and garlic to create a savory broth like mixture that some of us wouldve happily drank as a seafood soup.The lobster rolls were pretty decently sized for the price paid, the meat tasted fresh so my co workers didnt mind. It was seasoned well and had no what my coworkers referred to as fishy taste. The crepes were good and the eggs Benedict was decent, but what really stood out was the French onion sandwich with grilled chicken, caramelized onion, melted crushers cheese and onion soup dip on the side. Holy cow. It was amazing!!! Will definitely get it next time I go! My steak and eggs were just okay, not cooked to perfection, but was decently seasoned.Overall, I would come back again for brunch, and venture out of my comfort zone and try other things on their brunch menu!

I had a wonderful dining experience at Aperitif in Bayside, NY. The escargots were delicious, the bouillabaisse was outstanding, and the dark chocolate mousse was excellent. I highly recommend this restsurant.
