Had the opportunity to taste authentic quebec cuisine- we ordered warm salad with duck confit + roasted monkfish. truly one of the best food we’ve had in quebec city. this restaurant offered a nice view of the ocean and had exceptional service. for the atmosphere and service we’re in, the food is fairly priced and would definitely recommend asking the servers for suggestions. restaurant is nearly decorated!

Amazing experience. Make sure to ask them for a table with the view as they have a great terrasse from which you can behold the river while enjoying your food. Fish and chips were great, very tasty and succulent. Crème brûlée was also fantastic, not overwhelmingly sweet, just as it should be.

Perfect experience. Waiteress was friendly & informative. Food was beyond exceptional. View was amazing. The ambiance of the restaurant added as well! Right down to the temperature in the restaurant, not too cold, not to hot.Salman tartare was great! Dessert was fantastic. (got both creme brulee & lemon meringue)

We received a gift card for breakfast. I cant believe I have lived in Quebec for 40 years and yet never ate there.Our breakfasts were delicious.The view was amazing.Our waitress was exceptional and the service was impeccable.After seeing the reviews now, our only regret is not getting the breakfast poutine.We will back soon to try it for sure!

Had a nice birthday dinner here. The duck confit salad was great as were the fish and chips. Has lovely views of the water which I imagine would be even nicer in the daylight! Definitely worth a repeat visit for brunch next time Im back in Quebec

Our first stop in Quebec City was great. Good food, great service and a beautiful terrace. Based on other photos I thought we would be right along the water pathway. We enjoyed the lunch special “planche du monde” a charcuterie board. Not usually a fan of creton - but their homemade style was good!

A must go when in beautiful Quebec city! Great restaurant with amazing food . I had the veal filet with shrimp done perfectly. Our server, Maryse, was the best!! She made us feel welcomed, spoke perfect English, was funny and took the time to explain the menu. The view of the river is beautiful. We had a great time here.

Definitely a must try brunch spot in Quebec City. The good was above average and they had good options for vegetarians.The view was quite good and the servers were good too.

The best fish and chips Ive ever had! Ambiance is cozy with a nice view of the St-lawrence. Sangria was also very good. Soup was corn and coliflower and was also excellent. Service also good. Definitely recommend, but reserve online because it gets quite busy.

There is an exceptional view of the river from this restaurant. My wife visited Cafe Du Monde for breakfast, the food was spectacular. Even more important, the service was impeccable. The breakfast poutine is to die for. Those Canadians are a proud people, and they dont play around when it comes to their poutine, and it shows. I highly recommend, and Im not a rabid fan of chain restaurants at all.

Amazing restaurant! The food tasted incredibly. For the price, which was not expensive at all, the quality was amazing. The best part was the dessert. The crême brulée and the lemon meringue tart were by the far the best we had ever tried! The view of the river was beautiful. Staff service was great! The only downside was the bathroom, that seemed like a warehouse bathroom, but still, would 10/10 recommend this restaurant!

This was our last meal in Quebec. Well let me tell you, this restaurant has an amazing view, but above that the food was absolutely tasty, affordable and of quality. The service was wonderful. They do have a lunch menu where you choose your appetizer, your main dish and comes special priced wine and dessert. Coffee included. Sizes were just perfect. We had a great lunch and it was absolutely worth it and delicious.

Very beautiful restaurant with a great view of Quebec Harbor. The decoration is subtle and elegant in a spacious place. Inside and outside seating available. The menu is limited but everything is done spectacularly. The service is nice and friendly. A bit expensive but definitely worth the visit.

Best French cuisine Ive had so far in Canada :) Anyone visiting Quebec City should definitely try this place. The food is absolutely delicious! I would love to try other dishes in the future! Highly recommend!!

But it makes up by the quality of the service food and the ambiance. Would definitely go back to eat there if I find my self in Quebec City again !

A place where you can enjoy the authentic Quebec breakfast. I ordered Le Nordique (lobster/shrimp Benedict) and I love the taste along with the portion. Highly recommend to make a reservation before you go :)

Andover breakfast place in Quebec City. Everything that we had was just amazing. Although the menu is limited, and they could add more choices for chicken.

We went to brunch at cafe du monde with some friends. The view and atmosphere was absolutely amazing. It’s a must for the ambiance and decors. The service was a delight, our two waiter was really nice. As for the food, it was good but nothing exceptional.

Le Café du Monde was underwellming. I was so excited to try the lobster and shrimp roll (Guédille de homard et crevette), and it was just meh. More shrimp than lobster and missing taste. Bravo on making their own roll bread but it was not marrying well with the overall sandwich. The waiting time on getting the food was a little long and I had a piece of plastic from the vinagrette pouch in my salad. They did offer to replace the salad but I said it was unnecessary.On the good side, the location and view is nice. The Chaudré de Gaspésie was very good.

Classic French Cuisine executed really well, with a great atmosphere. Tartares are really good, escargots are yummy. Only thing is the Burger was quite blend and bready. I wouldnt recommend. But the Sampler with duck Rilette and a Pate of Rabbit is simply amazing!

Did some research on recommended restaurants for me and my wifes anniversary in Quebec city before we go and was recommended to this restaurant. And we are very pleased that we did try.We went there early on a Sunday night with reservation, so it was not too crowded at that time. We were served by an elegant lady who was very patient on explaining the menu items and drinks.And we went with the Table dHôte, with venison stew and mussel casserole which, are beyond comparison. Venison stew was full of stout flavour and very tasty with the stew, and paired with Les petits cailloux white wine, its like perfect combination. My wife had the mussel casserole and she couldnt stop with it, very well cooked with the coconut milk flavour like it was marinated for a long time.Last but not the least, I tried their vanilla Crème Brûlée, again was surprised. The torched to layer is thin yet crispy and very well baked in timing to make the custard silky smooth.Very well worth it and Ill definitely go again to try their regular menu items!

We had Christmas brunch here and it was pretty good. The location and view was awesome. Unfortunately, the food wasn’t as good as we thought it would be.

Love this place and the ambience is so pretty. We had a seat beside the window with a nice view of the winter river. Husbands seafood pasta was amazing as well as the hearty pea soup! My fish and chips was ok, nothing out of this world but still nice. Service was great as well. A must go, better than visiting a pricey restaurant at a hotel.

I would recommend this for both casual and special occasions. Its a staple for me and my family. In summer ask for the outside seating for the beautiful view on the Saint Laurent River. If youre a tourist, absolutely go there. French cuisine but theres something for everyone

I would have to say the food and service was fantastic at this place. As soon as we walked in the server was really accommodating and ensured that we were taking care of with the menus and drinks. He went over everything in detail with us including what lunch menus etc. He even took the time to let us know what are the best options to eat. I went with my family and the food was amazing. I really recommend this cafe in Quebec if you are looking for good food and good service.

A great view of the lake. Great service. Tasty bread. Tasty food. What I really liked was the attendance of our server. He gave us Enough time to enjoy our appetizer and soup before bringing the main dish. Many restaurants rush through the courses and I usually feel full when I leave. However, here I enjoyed my meal with the way he planned everything. The roasted chicken was very tasty and enough to enjoy and feel good.I totally recommend this restaurant to tourists.

I dont speak of understand french at all but I loved this place, I loved how they spoke french. I like how it sounds but I had no idea what they were saying at all so I hope they werent making fun of my humongous nose but that would be pretty fun y if they did lol. Anyway I think I ordered a steak or something and they brought it out and it was pretty good and well worth the price so I gave the dude like a 20 dollar top because thats like 5 dollars in American money and I had some dough to spend you feel me. Anyway so after I ate I asked for a desert but then I realized I didnt want a desert so I kinda just left after paying and then I went to the hospital hotel I think and had myself one of the best naps I have ever had, god I wish I could go back here to take that nap again. Things have been hard lately, I just wish I could take a nap like that again. Overall: this review made me depressed but this place was great/10

Excellent views with great beer! The fish and chips was great. However, the steak not so much. The outside was seared nicely. However, the inside was raw. Otherwise a rather pleasant way to spend the Afternoon looking at the amazing scenery!

We ended up coming to this restaurant following the extraordinary reviews we found on here. We came and were sorely disappointed. I don’t know if the menu or the chef changed but the food was not that great. The view is pretty good if you’re by the window, but otherwise we were distracted by the potatoes that were somehow tasting like rubber(?). A lot of the food was not seasoned well and we had to add our own salt. The service was fair but not great. The only good thing I have to say about this restaurant is the view and the fresh bread that they give to you if you ask. I would recommend going to a different restaurant for the price.

Everything you eat in this restaurant is totally tasty. The cost is the same of any other restaurant but the flavour is the best. And the service is wonderful, our waiter was charming and very kind. He tried to speak spanish, he was very charismatic.

Super fun bar in the old Port of Quebec. We were there at the end of the season so it was a bit empty, but there were plenty of drink choices and jamming island tunes. The lounge chairs in shallow water are such a great concept for bar drinking on hot days.

Great service and great food. That is not all. The food is actually delicious, prepared with both a sense of taste and style. It is the service which makes it however. It must be hard to be maintain a sense of fun and energy all day long. Yet the staff managed to be cheerful and welcoming while serving a table of 15+ guests, each of whom had something quirky when it came to food. Highly recommended.

Amazing breakfast here! Fresh croissants and delicious coffee. I had one of their delectable eggs Benedict and it did not disappoint. Our waiter was exceedingly energetic and entertained the kids we dined with the whole way through with funny order options, etc. I am an English only speaker, not an issue here. Excellent and bilingual service. Would highly recommend!

Magnificent!

Very busy establishment in the old port by St Lawrence river. The meal package is a good deal. Very good salad. French onion soup tasted funny...waiter was nice enough to take it back and off the bill. Excellent service. I think people come more for the ambience though.

Went here for lunch today and sat on the terrace, great view looking over the St. Laurent and fun to watch the passengers boarding the cruise ship docked beside us. My friend and I split the salmon tartar and calamari starters and both were delicious. It was plenty of food for a nice light lunch. I had an Aperol Spritz to drink and she had a Paloma, both were delicious! Great spot if youre in the area.

Pretty view on St Lawrence River, affordable price, decent and really tasty plates, friendly staff, clean place... And so on! Ill come back for sure!

Amazing dishes, we did a Prix fix menu and everything was delicious. My chicken and my boyfriends steak were done perfectly. The service was great as well, our server checked in on us many times to make sure we are enjoying the food. The patio has a good view of the city as well. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting the city and wants to reasonably priced try French cuisine.

The best restaurant weve been to in years. Great view of river. Upstairs seating. Our waitress (think her name was Crystalle) was efficient, polite and great humour. She suggested the seafood chowder; it was the BEST EVER. All 4 of us were very pleased with our meals. It was quite busy, didnt have to wait very long. I am fussy about my fish, it was cooked perfect. I am not easy to please as I am a good cook, but this was an amazing experience.

This restaurant you are definitely paying for the view right next to the St. Lawrence River. Wait staff were really nice and friendly, speaking both French and English with ease. The food was decent but overpriced. However this is what you would expect from this type of place. On a nice day get a seat outside and the bill will be worth it. It is very busy though, so try to get there for off peak times.

Went here in late August for lunch. The view on the St. Lawrence is very nice and service was good. The only reason I go to restaurants is to eat and unfortunately the food did not measure up to any other restaurant I went to in Quebec. My wife had a beef rib that was well cooked and tasty. If I had ordered the same item I would have rated this restaurant 3 stars. I ordered the seafood in a cream sauce with pastry. I only found three small pieces of seafood in the sauce, the largest piece was a small shrimp. This may have been fortunate because the seafood tasted terrible. I gave this restaurant 2 stars because the view, service and my wifes meal were good and my meal was not.

Most reviews talk about the view. We unfortunately were sat on the inside of the restaurant despite reserving a few weeks ahead. While the service was friendly, lack of atmosphere and just ok food feels like you’re eating at a Red Lobster or Kelsey’s.

Great service and nice atmosphere! The view was also amazing! I would not recommend the fish and chips, but the profiteroles were incredible! Furthermore, they give you a 2h free parking. Although, if you stay more than 4h, its gonna cost you 12$ so take into consideration!

This place is all about the atmosphere. Gorgeous place on the river. Food was average. On the French onion soup there were still cheese shreds- not even baked enough. Seafood casserole was average. Service OK.

Impeccable service. We were visiting on vacation and had an escape room that was planned for later in the day. They treated us with utmost respect and curtesy. I requested if possible to be able to get us out the food as quickly as possible. We asked before being sat down and they welcomed us with open arms. And low and behold we had amazing food serviced to us. I couldn’t be more pleased with that experience and I will return again. They are an A class establishment, well done 👏🏾 .Also we managed to be able to make it to the escape room in a timely fashion.
