Pushkar Lake or Pushkar Sarovar is located in the town of Pushkar in Ajmer district of the Rajasthan state of western India. Pushkar Lake is a sacred lake of the Hindus. The Hindu scriptures describe it as Tirtha-Guru – the perceptor of pilgrimage sites related to a water-body and relate it to the mythology of the creator-god Brahma, whose most prominent temple stands in Pushkar. The Pushkar Lake finds mention on coins as early as the 4th century BC.

The best place I’ve found to view the lake and town at sunset. I was expecting it to be an absolute debacle, but it was very calm leisurely. There’s a couple of good cafes abs a bunch of people hanging out and taking pics. This was also the only place I wasn’t harassed for money.

You will find inner peace at hear. In Pushkar a must visit place. You can see whole Pushkar Lake & All Ghats.And major pros is you can drive your here..!!So must go..!!

Its a nice place to hangout with your family and friends. Its the main tourist spot for the travellers. At evening you can come and enjoy the serenity with some traditional music. There are many cafes here where you can sit and relax with some food.

Cool vibes with the Tabla and Ravanta players roaming around indulging the viewers in the beautiful atmosphere of Rajasthan. You witness the same Sun, the ever present star for Earth, luminating the same light as it has been since millions of years and millions more to come. But the difference is, when you sit down on the banks of that quiet lake, in between the narrow street and the squeezed buildings its something else, it has Pushkar feels to it.

A sacred spiritual place for Hinduism pilgrims. They are kind & curious. Yet, as a foreigner, you might experience some annoyance. The best way to enjoy this place is: keep calm and ignore fake priests, respect traditions (which means follow what locals do)

Absolutely trippy and awesome place. A serene look of Hindu culture (expect for the cleanliness). Remember to take your shoes off as it is a heritage site and people are very concerned about it. Remember to wear socks to avoid your leg to get dirty. Its my third visit and this place didnt dissappoint me. This place might be quite adventurous as well.

Situated at famous Pushkar lake..a good point to visit. The lake has many entries and one can enjoy sitting there for longer period. You will also find many guides who offer services at reasonable rates and tell you the mythological stories of Brahma ji. At the ghat you will also find many Priests (Pandits) offering to do a small puja for you and your family. Take their help only in case you want to offer the puja else directly say no. Lots of birds like cranes are also found in the lake for catching fish from the lake. The environment around the lake is very refreshing and you can observe people from different sections performing puja. Around the lake you will also find the main market of Pushkar having lot of local handicrafts and artifacts. The vehicle are parked little away from the lake and you may need to walk 10-15 mins for reaching the lake. All around the lake concrete ghats are available with steps and a little island type temple is also there to visit. After lake you can visit Brahma ji temple which is just 10 min walk from the lake.

5 stars are for the premium location .This is one pace which directly overlooks the lake and there are musicians sitting playing local instruments..The chai pakoda snacks are all amazing..If youre in Pushkar you cant miss this..

I just love this place although its very far from my home then too I prefer this only whenever I want to chill out and get in touch with a new environment. Here you get to know the typical Rajasthani culture with some trendy touch. Its a very soothing place especially the evening time is just amazing. You can chill out here, sit calmly with your loved ones, get a photoshoot, and whatnot. Everyone must visit this place Im sure youll start loving this place.

BE AWARE!!!Full with scammers: they will take you for a prayer, do some rituals and make you pay much as possible. They are NO religious representatives but thieves.Take note that they are VERY persistent, DO call police for real if they dont go, police will back you here, these guys are out of town.In our case we got a group of scammers that became very AGRESIVE and *treatend us with KILLING US*.PLEASE DO TAKE COUTION*See pic: 6 people getting scammed in full daylight at the same time, it is outrageous.

Best place...soothing...nice view...you can spend time with your family and friends as long as you want because you will love to sit at that quite place. Some Banjara people are playing musical instruments there and entertaining the visitors.There is a restaurant at the bank of the point. So you can have some snacks , pizza , tea, coffee, Dosa, proper main course.
