Purnia lies in between Katihar–Jogbani section. Purnia has trains running frequently to Delhi and Kolkata. Purnia is well connected with Katihar, Jogbani and Saharsa through daily passenger and express train services. Currently, the Indian Railways has floated tenders to modernize Purnia Junction. The major facilities available are waiting rooms, retiring room, computerised reservation facility, reservation counter, vehicle parking etc. The vehicles are allowed to enter the station premises. There are refreshment rooms vegetarian and non-vegetarian, tea stall, book stall, post and telegraphic office and Government Railway police (G.R.P.) office. To modernise the train inquiry system a call centre has been opened at Patna in 2005.[4] People from Bihar can inquiry about arrival and departure of trains, reservation status, fare, concessions, etc., by dialling a universal telephone number 139 at local call rates. 200 to 500 lines are used in a call centre to ensure that the phone lines do not remain busy and a large number of people can access the facility of enquiry simultaneously. This facility was extended throughout the India by the end of 2005–06 to get the desired train related information by dialling a universal number 139 at local call charges.[4] There are 3 platforms in Purnia junction. The platforms are interconnected with only one foot overbridge (FOB). On 10 April 2018 free Wi-fi facility was started.

Nice. Railway station
Purnea is biggest city of kosi - Simachal area which has 7-8 districts but Pity in train services Although have two stations but less frequency and Poor connectivity makes bus as a priority in Transportation which is situated in centre of city and one of the best in state in terms of connectivity.. People have to travel Katihar Junction largest Station in this area 28 km from here for better Train connectivity which takes 30 to 45 minutes from here. Large number of buses and autorickshw available from Bus Stand and Katihar More Area near Purnea Junction
Good
This is one of peak station where all major trains stopped. The management is good. Staffs are on site. Still needs improvement.

Just a casual railway station. Not very neat and clean. The number of trains through this station is also less as one side connects directly to Jogbani-Nepal border. To visit Biratnagar in Nepal, one can take the route from purnea to jogbani. Then cross border on foot to reach Biratnagar. I hope you like this review. 😉🚂🚂🚂🚂🚂
Purnea junction is good junction .two sided travel purnea to Saharsa and purnea to jogbani
For a local station its everything good though it can be better in lot of fields like water system, fans, more canteens and the announcement speakers.
